CHAPTER 451: GAMMA-RAY BURSTS

In an instant, the violent approach of that Mana reaches me, and I receive a punch that sends me flying straight into the moon. Everything around me trembles as the moon itself shifts a few centimeters from its position, and I sink miles deep into its surface.

"!!!"

’I need to get off the moon immediately!! This maniac is going to destroy everything!’ If she affects the moon too much, the planet below will also be affected, and I can’t let her do that.

Immediately, I burst through the ground, accelerating upwards through space. I look back and see her chasing after me rapidly. Soon, she pulls the spears from her body and hurls them at me.

’She’s strong... but not as strong as everyone said... the seal must have drastically reduced her true power... I’d say she’s operating at around level 150 thousand... with my new adaptation, I can fight and win.’ I land on a large passing meteor.

Immediately, I block a punch; my older sister is absurdly fast too. I punch her in the head, sinking her into the ground, and jump back.

"Hey, let’s talk! I don’t want to fight, I–" Before I can finish speaking, my arm gets cut off and my head almost goes with it. The meteor splits in two as the flesh of my arm begins to aggressively dissolve.

’Chaos magic... is she even conscious?’ My arm regenerates as I charge at her. She charges at me too with a punch, and when our fists collide, my fingers shatter and I’m thrown backward.

’What the hell!?’ My body regenerates again just as I take a punch to the gut. The shockwave violently spreads through my bones, fragmenting nearly my entire skeleton.

The massive amount of stimuli my body receives immediately overloads my brain, preventing me from reacting to a punch to the face.

’Dammit... this hurts so much... there are so many sensations...’ I see her completely regenerated, as if nothing had happened to her before, but I sense mortal danger. It doesn’t matter if she’s my older sister; I still react.

"[Dark Moon Strike]" A slash of darkness is unleashed, splitting her torso in half along a vertical line, from her navel to her head, she was divided into two.

"B-Big sister... GHMmmmm!?" Even with such an absurd injury, she punches me, sinking me into the ground. Her body regenerates instantly, despite the ability theoretically nullifying regeneration temporarily.

I try to get out, but she starts throwing thousands of rapid punches. Each punch is painful and disgusting because of the strange contact. It’s like being crushed by mountains while sandpaper grates my flesh.

My feeble attempts at defense yield no results as I can’t hold on any longer. She clearly wants to kill me, and I won’t let her.

"[Phantom Moon]" I use this magic on her neck, which immediately decapitates her as I jump back. I hope she grabs her head, which would give me an opening to strike.

But contrary to my expectations, she charges at me, letting her head fall to the ground. The shock prevents me from reacting as she lands a punch that goes straight through my stomach.

The sensation is repulsive. If the contact on my skin was already so sensitive it was disgusting, having her touch my organs is thousands of times worse.

’A-Aberration!’ I watch her head regenerate completely in seconds, something even I can’t do. If I lose my head, it’s over; I’d die for real. Yet here she is, with reduced power and previously injured, able to do this.

"ENOUGH! IF YOU WANT TO KILL ME, I’LL KILL YOU FIRST, YOU BITCH [New Moon Meteoric Crater]" I become furious and decide to use this ability. I don’t know where these moon-related abilities came from.

But this one is one of the strongest, as it increases the power of a strike by 500 times. I fill my hand with Mana and charge at her with a punch. She even tries to dodge, but since I’m already close, I grab her tail with my own tail.

She crosses her arms in an X to try and block, but the moment my punch connects with her arms, a red and black wave of magic is released in a cone shape.

The devastating energy vaporizes her half of the meteor while the energy travels through space. But even this violent impact, despite pulverizing her arms, doesn’t stop her.

I’m met with a punch to the eyes, which turns everything into a mess because of my new vision.

But there’s no time for that; I feel a devastating attack forming. Despite my scrambled vision, I see my sister gathering immense magic into a single point to fire.

I think about dodging until I realize that so much magic will cover a huge area and travel very far. I look back and see the planet behind me.

’This attack... it couldn’t possibly... right?’ I don’t know. It’s so much magic, so I have no way of knowing if this attack could devast the planet behind me, and she seems to want to use everything she has in this attack.

"Fine, bitch. If you want to kill me with this, then let’s see who wins." I decide here and now to create the most powerful and destructive magic I can. It will be a 100% theoretical magic.

However, I was already working on it before; I just lacked the knowledge. But my new perspective of what the universe is allows me to create this magic. It will be stronger than any current magic I possess.

"[Dragon Blaster: Roar, Antimatter Gamma-Ray Bursts]" I use the incantation, which drains 25% of my total mana. This attack will undoubtedly be devastating.

[Dragon Blaster: Roar, Antimatter Gamma-Ray Bursts] Chaos and Creation Magic. It uses a concentrated form of Antimatter and cosmic energy to recreate a Gamma-Ray Burst, but with the energy concentrated and focused in a single direction in the form of a beam.

Even though the attack only uses 25% of my current mana, that doesn’t mean it’s weak. In fact, I already had knowledge of universal laws thanks to my mother, but having knowledge doesn’t necessarily mean understanding it.

I always lacked an understanding of how the quantum world worked exactly. Just having the knowledge in my head didn’t inform me of that, because I only knew what it was like, but I didn’t understand how it functioned.

But now I can see cosmic radiation with my eyes, and by seeing it, I comprehended how cosmic energy functions and how it interacts with existence as a whole.

And using this knowledge, with the theory I already had, I can instantly create the attack I’ve been trying to create for months, but always failed.

From my hands, a wave of pure energy is generated. The meteor beneath me almost completely disintegrates, leaving only a few fragments as the energy expands and contracts violently, being directed to a single point.

My older sister immediately fires her attack. Her attack is strong, without a doubt, but the moment I move my hand and fire mine, my sister doesn’t try to block or just dodge; she literally teleports as far away as possible behind me while the energy beam is fired forward.

A strange, crackling sound occurs as everything in front of me is literally erased. The energy release is so powerful that literally particles and their quantum states collapsed into a local singularity.

Whether matter, energy, particles, molecules, the quantum world, cosmic radiation, and even the very vacuum of space is obliterated by the overwhelming amount of energy directed at a single point, generating a singularity that is like the very [Void] itself.

The attack travels so far, so incredibly far, that it completely leaves my field of vision. I can’t tell how far this attack travels, but it’s clear I can’t use this on any planet.

If I used this on a planet, the entire planet would disappear forever. I look back, seeing my sister kneeling and injured on top of a meteor fragment.

Just because she teleported out of the direct path doesn’t mean she wasn’t hit. From the moment the attack appeared in my hand, the effects of its energy had already affected whoever was in front of me.

’She’s brilliant... just by seeing my attack forming, she understood she couldn’t block it, and understood that behind me was safe...’ The concentrated energy beam only damages what is in front of me.

And it’s not that fast to conjure, so if you realize that weakness, just come behind me.

’...’ I look at my hands. They’ve completely melted. I also look at my sister and see that her flesh melted even without being directly hit.

’The radiation emitted by this is too strong...’ This attack literally released more energy than the sun could release in its entire lifetime. And the reason such a strong attack can be made, even spending little mana compared to the destruction, is simple.

I didn’t generate the attack... I simply made the principles of its creation generate the attack itself. And I hate to admit it, but to do this, I remembered Vanessa. Vanessa attacked me with a real black hole.

However, her ability didn’t allow her to create that black hole; she just stole it, which was possible for her ability.

So, knowing I couldn’t generate that much energy currently, I made cosmic events generate it for me. That’s why my new perception of the world was essential.

I needed to understand how the universe interacts with itself, and it worked. I open my status and see that this attack is now listed there, showing that I created a new magic capable of devastating solar systems and, depending on my strength, even Galaxies and universes.

It all depends on how much energy I can contain in a single point. Currently, I can only contain this amount of energy that I used. But in the future, I will be able to contain much more energy in a point.

In other words, this magic becomes stronger the stronger I get, and it causes massive damage to anyone it hits.

"What did you think, big sister! Of my first Anti-Goddess magic!" I say arrogantly while my sister can barely stand. She looks at me with a blurry gaze.

She still seems to want to attack me, but being hit just by the initial contained energy was enough for massive damage, not to mention her unfinished attack drained a lot from her.

"..." She then faints, floating in space. I decide to let it go. I think I know why she attacked me. She probably isn’t truly conscious. Likely, so many years trapped in that place made her lose her grasp on reality.

So when she was released, her body just attacked the closest thing on its own. That’s why I decide to overlook the fact that she could have killed me.

"Not that I fared much better..." I look at my hands. The initial energy collapsed the very physical structure of my body, to the point where my regeneration is now working from the mana pathway.

"What... strange... the mana pathway wasn’t even scratched... the strongest energy known in the observable universe isn’t capable of even damaging mana?! How is that supposedly possible?" I ask, somewhat incredulous.

Gamma-Ray Bursts are the most destructive events known in modern physics. Of course, this isn’t the modern world anymore and magic exists, but magic existing doesn’t make Gamma-Ray Bursts weaker; they are still absurd cosmic explosions.

’Mana... what the hell is Mana, really?’ This leaves me with even more questions. Among all the knowledge of universal laws I have, nothing is specifically about mana.

’Whatever Mana is, it’s absurd...’ My hands soon recover completely while I see that my sister has already regenerated too. I look back and see pure darkness, a hole in space made by my attack, the only place that appears dark to my new vision that sees many colors.

’Literally everything vanished... what a frightening attack...’

"You know, big sister, you were truly incredible. I never imagined someone so exhausted could make me use that kind of attack. You truly deserve the title of the strongest Demon King in history. I’m even scared to imagine you at your full power," I say honestly to her while picking her up and starting to fly.

I’ll take her to the moon. When she wakes up, everything should be fine again, so I decide to talk to her.

"You know, sis, even though I call it Anti-Goddess magic, I don’t even know if it affects them, you know? Seeing that neither my mana nor your mana were affected, I guess in the end, high-caliber cosmic rays might be useless against goddesses."

"...Maybe I should focus on soul destruction? I’d love to hear your opinion, since you’ve killed goddesses before. Anyway, sis, I did something awesome here, right?"

"I know I kinda didn’t create the attack; the energy for this attack was made by the universe itself, and I just manipulated the specific conditions for such a thing to happen! But that doesn’t take away my credit!" I start boasting to her.

"Okay, honestly, I really didn’t create the attack. I just created the conditions that forced the universe to produce it. The mana was just the trigger, not the force. That’s why the cost was low, but the effect was absurd, and that makes me incredibly genius! And I won’t let you say otherwise," I repeat the same thing again with different words.

I’m too excited to talk about anything else. It was the first time I managed to perform such a powerful attack. This attack would require a Pandora of level 1 billion to be done entirely on her own! In other words, I, at level 100k, have the attack that I could only make in the future.

’All thanks to my mother! The knowledge of universal laws she gave me is so useful...’
