The Devil's Betrothed
Chapter 794: Found The Deity Of Wisdom
CHAPTER 794: FOUND THE DEITY OF WISDOM
Leaving Drayce and Morpheus to go for their mates, Evanthe left to search for the Deity of Wisdom. She followed the leads as told by Sierra—an entirely unfamiliar place for Evanthe.
She was going through the celestial palaces meant for different entities, and she followed the place that matched the description Sierra had given her. The palace was not too exuberant but emitted an air of knowledge and excellence. Avoiding the celestial guards, she hid behind one of the white stone pillars and observed the entrance of the residence, looking for any opening to enter the place.
’Who can say I was once the princess of this realm? I am totally lost and can’t even remember anything,’ she sighed inwardly. ’Having some of my memories would have been a great help to sneak around without much worry.’
"Are you looking for someone, young angel?" a voice came from behind her and made her alert.
’Seems like I’m caught!’ She breathed out slowly before turning around. ’I have to be ready to use my power if—’
"Princess Evanthe?"
It shocked her, and she quickly looked at the man, questioning what he just said. Of course, everyone must recognize her here.
"So the one who sneaked after those two young women—it’s you, Deity of Water," the man said calmly. He looked welcoming rather than questioning her presence.
"Deity of Wisdom?" Evanthe asked, calming herself down. "Deity Solon."
The deity smiled. "Seems like you regained your memories, which is so unlikely and against the rule."
Evanthe didn’t comment on it but said, "My Lord, you do not look hostile towards me. That means you have been expecting me here already. That means you can help me."
"Help?" The deity had a small, playful smile. "That depends on whether it’s in favor of the Heaven Realm or against it."
"For that, you should let me explain everything to you," Evanthe now regained her confidence. She knew she didn’t have to be worried about this man’s intentions—just as Sierra had told her. "Maybe Sierra can explain it to you well."
"Sierra? Where is she?" Solon asked.
"I will tell you, but first you have to help me free those two women you have captured," Evanthe said. "I am taking them back with me."
"That’s not possible without knowing everything. The Heaven Realm needs to look into it," Solon said resolutely, not ready to give in easily. He needed to get to the bottom of everything. "You said you were going to explain everything to me. Maybe we can have a little talk."
Evanthe knew this deity was important to her mission, so she agreed. Both of them went to his residence—the chamber where Solon handled celestial work.
She looked round the massive place her eyes amused at seeing multiple rows of shelves and from floor to high up to the ceiling so tall that it was impossible for any ordinary person to reach the top. It definitely needed one with power to operate this place.
Solon went to the place at one part which had a platform with a few stairs to it. He sat on the comfortable cushioned sitting arrangement behind the short height white stone carved desk, where one could work while sitting on the floor.
"Deity Solon, what are these scrolls?" Evanthe asked.
Solon smiled at her amused, "Seems like you don’t have any memories."
Evanthe got back to her senses, but said nothing. As he was the god of wisdom, sooner of later he would discover the truth.
"Who knows, maybe one of those scrolls have your own past written in them which you have forgotten, Princess Evanthe?" An amused smile playing on his lips as he opened one scroll to do some work.
Evanthe’s eyes brightened up. "Which one?"
"Letting you discover your past, is punishable offence to any deity if they help," Solon said, "And I am a deity who follows heavily rules strictly." His intentions clearly were not to tell her anything but then...."But by chance you sneaked inside this place and discovered that scroll on your own without anyone’s knowledge, then no one is to be blamed."
Evanthe narrowed her eyes at this shrewd deity, who was indirectly telling her the way. ’I will do it later. For now I don’t have time to waste,’ she thought suppressing her temptation of discovering her past as her kids were important.
"Don’t you want to know what I can tell you," Eventhe asked, "Deity Solon?"
"Please, proceed," he replied, "You might like to have a seat," he said pointing her to sit on the cushioned arrangement on the other side of his work desk.
Evanthe say and started to explain him.
Solon was not in hurry as he has to wait till Grianor came out of the seclusion, so he had to take the things slowly.

Meanwhile, Morpheus and Drayce had reached closer to the celestial healing chamber where Seren and Ember were kept. There were celestial guards around, and both had to sneak in.
"I wish we had the power to change our appearances," Morpheus said. "It would have been easier."
Drayce could only wish just like him, but had no other choice. "You wait here. I am going ahead..."
"No. I will do it," Morpheus said. "Your darkness might expose you. Let my pure divine power help."
"You do get Dragons are more powerful than the divine eagles," Drayce commented.
"You’re forgetting I am not just any divine eagle, but I am the golden one now, and my mate is much more powerful than you are—to share her core with me," Morpheus countered. "And as per some predictions, I might be the divine soul descended from the Heaven Realm. So that makes me more powerful here in the Heaven Realm. Now decide—want to play a power game with me or want to save our mates?"
Drayce frowned at his smugness but said, "If something goes wrong, send me a signal."
"Sure," Morpheus winked at him, as if treating Drayce like a child, and went ahead.
Morpheus sneaked inside, carefully avoiding the few guards around, but at the same time he wondered, ’Shouldn’t there be more guards if they are trying to keep our mates in protection?’ Using the concealing essence given by Xyron, he managed to infiltrate the celestial healing chamber.
The moment he entered, he could feel the high intensity of the divine energy inside and felt his own strength increasing. ’It’s definitely magical. No wonder these deities are so powerful and arrogant.’
Sneaking further, he managed to reach the place where Seren and Ember were placed. The thick fog emitting from the floor was floating around the surface, and the white and bright place inside was filled with intense divine power. Not seeing anyone around, he reached his mate first.
"Ember," he touched her hand, "Can you hear me?"
There was no response from her. He looked at Seren and knew she was the same. ’These two are so weak and need healing. It won’t be good to take them out in this situation. I shall wait till they consume at least enough divine energy.’
Then he recalled Drayce. ’If I send him a secret message, my presence would be revealed. He can just be patient and wait for me.’

Meanwhile, inside the dungeon operated by Isis and her angels.
Sierra was lying on the floor, hurt and weak. Though the angels had saved her before she could fall into the Celestial Hollow, the consuming and soul-devouring magic had still managed to hurt Sierra. Her clothes were slightly torn here and there and even had bloodstains on them.
Isis knelt next to her and said, "They found your daughter and that Deity of Fire. Now it won’t be long before I retrieve hellfire from her and become the most powerful deity of the Heaven Realm. Once it happens, the first thing I will do is kill your daughter in front of you—and then kill Evanthe’s son."
Sierra, though weak, mumbled, "The Lord of Darkness won’t spare you."
"You can’t threaten me with him," Isis said. "He can’t meddle in the Heaven Realm’s affairs, and he has already broken one rule by having a son. He won’t be punished either. You should know—he is the one helping me retrieve that hellfire. He’s going to follow my orders."
"Dream on!" Sierra scoffed. "I curse you to never succeed. You will die a terrible death."
Isis laughed. "You powerless witch, can you even hurt me—a most powerful deity—with such a useless curse?"
Sierra smirked. "Though useless now, I was once a Deity of Life. If I can create things, I can destroy them as well. You should fear. Who knows, one desperate curse might hurt you the worst."
Isis’s gaze darkened as she held Sierra by her hair and made her look at her. "Just wait. Soon I will return to you, and we will see who has the last laugh."
With a forceful tug, she let go of Sierra’s hair, causing her head to bump on the floor harshly—but Sierra didn’t make a sound of pain.
"I am going to catch those rats who have sneaked into the Heaven Realm. Do you think I’m really not aware of who followed your daughter here? I just need a reason to capture them in an act that’s against the Heaven Realm. Then no one can save them from the punishment."
Sierra felt worried to hear it, but then, she decided to close her eyes and leave it to their destinies, believing that justice would be served sooner or later.
