"He knows you've found him, which means the factory has been destroyed," Evelina continued. “In his eyes, his purpose has been fulfilled. He has no reason to linger in this world any longer.”

“So he just gave up like that in front of me? After what I did? After I intervened to save him myself?” I demanded. 

It felt absurd, almost insulting, that after all the efforts made to rescue him, the dragon had simply chosen to surrender to the death.

Yet, even as I wrestled with these conflicting emotions, a voice from my past echoed in my mind. 

It was a memory from my original world.

'You are okay, buddy. It's just a scratch, you're fine!' 

The voice resounded in my ears. In that moment, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me, as if transported back to that rainy night, the thunder echoing like a distant memory.

A surge of determination coursed through me. 

"No... I still have time. I won't let him die!" I resolved. 

Gritting my teeth in frustration, I refused to accept defeat.

I stared at the countdown timer above the fallen dragon's head. 

My mind raced, searching for a solution within Igixar's magical laws. There had to be something, some way to intervene and save him.

Then, like a bolt of lightning, a wild idea struck me. 

"Defibrillators," I murmured aloud. 

In my original realm, defibrillators were a common medical tool used to revive those on the brink of death. While such technology didn't exist in Igixar, the concept sparked an idea within me.

Despite the lack of medical equipment in this world, I couldn't shake the notion that there had to be a way to adapt the principles of defibrillation to our current situation. Perhaps there was a magical equivalent, a spell or ritual that could mimic it.

"We need to find a way to jump-start his heart," I spoke in a low voice.

'Wait, I have a thunder spell. Maybe I can do it!’ I thought. 

However, as quickly as the idea arose, doubts crept in. I wasn't sure my power suitable for the task. My magic was too strong. 

Glancing around, my gaze landed on Jyne. In that moment, a realization dawned on me – Jyne's innate affinity for wind-based magic could hold the key to our salvation.

Without hesitation, I reached out and grasped Jyne's hand.

"Can you focused your thunder spell on your palms?" I implored. "Not too much, just enough to deliver a shock and hopefully jolt him back to life."

“W-What?” she stammered.

"Can you do it or not?" I pressed. 

Time was of the essence, and we couldn't afford any hesitation or doubt.

"I-I can. But for what?" Jyne's voice wavered with uncertainty.

"Great! Follow me!" I declared, seizing the moment to take action. 

Without waiting for further explanation, I took Jyne's hands and guided her to stand before the fallen dragon.

Positioning her beside the dragon's chest, I pointed to the designated spot where she would apply the shock. 

"Put your hands there," I instructed, my voice steady despite the urgency of the situation. "And jolt him on my cue. Take your hands off him once I give the command again."

“Huh?” Jyne's frown deepened with confusion.

"Just do what I say," I urged. 

My heart pounded in my chest. I wished I could offer more explanation, more reassurance, but there was no luxury of time for such luxuries.
