I'll keep the update quick this time.

How are we doing now?

NovelBin has 98,546 101,164 fictions. Ranking is determined by only three things: star ratings (minor bump to ranking), short reviews (moderate bump to ranking), and full reviews (big bump to ranking). As of last update, we were on the threshold of reaching the front page of the Best Rated category — top 20.

We launched on the 28th of January 2025 with no presence or audience. We grew purely through your engagement.

On Sunday the 27th of July, just shy of six months after we began, we reached 19th of all fictions on NovelBin; we made it to the front page of Best Rated.

From the moment we set foot on the front page we've been battling ratings bombs (I have an open support ticket with the moderators about them). The first dragged us down to 22nd; we recovered. Then we were down to 33rd; we recovered. We've risen as high as 16th, and been knock off again, and again, clawing our way back each time. We are now 19th at time of writing.

Why does this matter? Being on the front page increases visibility, everywhere, across the whole site. The more visible our story is, the more people will eventually think "Oh, alright: why is this weird little story about an elf doing so well on here, anyway?" You know what happens next. And it's working: so long as we remain 20th or above, we're gaining 25–35 new followers every day. The more followers the story has, the more people will give it the time it warrants.

We have a chance to cement TEWWBAD's status as one of the Best Rated stories on NovelBin. If you want to see this small story about an elf grow into a true dragon of fiction, there are two things you can do:

1. Leave a rating, review, or advanced review by clicking "Rate it" or filling the in form on the story's main page. You can also upgrade your rating or review if you've already made one.

2. Share this story far and wide — with your friends and acquaintances, on Reddit, and just about everywhere you can think about online. You can borrow the graphics in this thread of posts if you'd find them useful.
