The exorcism began in America.

CHAPTER 35: CHAPTER 35 THE NEWS OF THE CULT
"Hmm? The origin of the weapon? Of course, I can’t tell you that! However, if you want it, I can sell it to you!"
Chu Feng turned around and looked at Father Rojas, an eager smile on his face.
After hearing Chu Feng’s words, the somewhat flat-nosed priest became very excited.
"Really? I want to buy one! It’s truly perfect for exorcism!"
"Of course, its power is unquestionable! If you want to buy it, I can give you a friendly price: five million US dollars each, bullets not included."
"Ah?"
Upon hearing the price Chu Feng mentioned, the excitement on Father Rojas’s face instantly froze.
"Bishop, isn’t this price a bit too high?"
After hearing the price, Father Dens, who was beside him, also grew restless.
"No, no, no, this is a friendly price; it’s already very cheap! Think of its power during exorcism! Think of the vampire that turned into a pile of ashes in an instant! Do you still think it’s expensive now?"
It seemed as though recalling the vampire’s death scene made both priests pause for a moment.
Seeing the two speechless priests, Chu Feng thoughtfully offered a suggestion.
"Don’t be disappointed, gentlemen. You are exorcists specially trained by The Holy See, so if you need any equipment, shouldn’t you just make a request to your superiors?"
Seeing the sudden spark in the priests’ eyes, Chu Feng silently gave himself a pat on the back.
That’s right, Chu Feng’s initial target was not these two priests, but that ancient Holy See with a history spanning a thousand years. How much money could a priest have? Chu Feng wouldn’t even consider them. When slaughtering a pig, one naturally goes for the fattest and strongest!
Soon, the trio returned to Saint Louis Cathedral.
"Father Rojas, Father Dens, congratulations on completing this trial."
Bishop Connell greeted the three, who had just stepped out of their car, with a beaming smile at the cathedral’s main gate.
"My mission is also complete. If there’s nothing else, I will return to America tomorrow!"
"Chu, thank you for your help! The Lord will remember your contribution! Amen."
Perhaps The Holy See had already accomplished its purpose; Bishop Connell did not seem intent on retaining Chu Feng.
Chu Feng secretly curled his lips. Seeing there was nothing left for him, he went straight back to his lodgings, leaving the performance to the two priests!
Watching Chu Feng’s retreating figure, Father Dens looked around. Then, together with Father Rojas, he pulled a bemused Bishop Connell into a secluded corner of the cathedral.
"So, after all that, you just want to buy a firearm with exorcism properties?"
After listening to the two priests, the elderly bishop was somewhat incredulous.
"Yes, we believe that this firearm would greatly assist The Holy See in its exorcism work!"
"Alright, I will seriously consider your suggestion!"
After bidding farewell to the two priests, Bishop Connell thought for a moment, then took out his phone and called the Vatican!
Half an hour later, there was a knock on Chu Feng’s door.
"Bishop Connell, what’s the matter?"
Chu Feng, who was prepared, opened the door and deliberately inquired.
"Chu, I’ll get straight to the point! The Holy See now wishes to purchase the weapon you used."
The aged bishop, with his profound eyes, took a deep look at Chu Feng before he stated his request outright.
"No problem! It’s yours for a fair five million US dollars!"
Chu Feng didn’t mind that it seemed like the bishop had seen right through his motives.
"Don’t worry, the money will be transferred to your account promptly. The Holy See won’t miss a mere five million US dollars."
"Alright, I’ll bring it to you right now."
A mercenary grin spreading across his face, Chu Feng turned and entered his room. He made a show of rummaging around before retrieving an AA-12 automatic shotgun (Demon Hunting Export Version).
Yes, it wasn’t the weapon Chu Feng himself used! Identical in appearance, yet entirely different on the inside.
AA-12 Automatic Shotgun (Demon Hunting Export Version): Compared to the original, this export version has slightly reduced damage. Furthermore, the firearm itself is regulated by the system.
"Chu, where’s the ammo?"
Seeing Chu Feng come out with only the gun itself, Bishop Connell furrowed his brows, a look of confusion on his face.
"Sorry, this gun can only use special exorcism ammunition, which needs to be purchased separately!"
"Chu, you really should be a damn businessman!"
A red-faced Bishop Connell could only reluctantly fork over an additional one hundred thousand US dollars for a special exorcism drum magazine.
"Thanks for the compliment! Have a safe trip back!"
Chu Feng sent off his major financier with a beaming smile.
At the turn of the stairs, now some distance from Chu Feng’s apartment, the flush and vexation on Bishop Connell’s face vanished without a trace.
He shook his head with a light chuckle, then waved his hand.
A Monk stepped out from the shadows.
"Go, rush to get it to the Vatican."
After handing the shotgun and drum magazine to the Monk, the old bishop’s face revealed a mysterious smile.
Meanwhile, Chu Feng, already in bed, was smiling even more broadly. He’d earned over five million US dollars from this one deal!
As for why The Holy See had purchased only one weapon, Chu Feng had anticipated it. Their motive was simply to research and attempt to replicate it—their usual tactic.
It was a pity; they were unaware of the Demon Hunting System’s existence. Attempting to replicate it was an utterly impossible task.
Early the next morning, Chu Feng headed to the airport. After a flight of over eight hours, he finally arrived safely in New York around noon.
"Hey! Chu, did you have fun in Paris?"
Outside the airport, James’s familiar voice rang in Chu Feng’s ear.
"Paris was alright. I even met a couple of French beauties who liked to talk a lot!"
"Oh? Then the stories between you guys must have been wonderful!"
Chu Feng recalled the two vampire beauties in the basement of the church and nodded affirmatively.
"Yeah, indeed not bad! Alright, let’s head back!"
He patted James’s shoulder and got directly into the cab.
"By the way, Chu, now that you’re back, can I start taking orders again?"
"Yeah, you can start looking. The Exorcism Studio will resume business tomorrow."
Leaning back against the seat, Chu Feng answered James’s eager question without even opening his eyes.
BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ.
On the way back, Chu Feng’s phone suddenly rang.
"Boris? What’s he calling for?"
Chu Feng picked up the phone, looked at the caller ID, and was somewhat surprised.
"Chu, you need to be careful these days!"
Boris’s first words after the call connected baffled Chu Feng.
"What do you mean, Boris?"
"Chu, it’s that cult from last time! We’ve got information that they might come after you for revenge!"
After hearing this, Chu Feng sat up straight, his voice rising instantly.
"That cult hasn’t been wiped out by you guys yet? Boris, please don’t tell me the New York Police Department hasn’t done anything all this time!"
Listening to the angry tone in Chu Feng’s voice over the phone, Boris gave an awkward laugh.
"Chu, don’t be angry, we’re really at a loss! It’s indeed very difficult to discern those cult members if they don’t expose themselves actively!"
"So, are you planning to send someone to protect me?"
"That... I’m afraid not. The police department’s resources are limited, and we can’t be sure about this intelligence..."
"Thanks for the heads-up, Boris."
After saying that, Chu Feng immediately hung up the phone.
