Chapter 53 Gate of Breaking Boundary
CHAPTER 53: CHAPTER 53 GATE OF BREAKING BOUNDARY
"Lin Qiu, calm down! I still have a use for his body!" Chu Feng said comfortingly, patting Lin Qiu’s shoulder and pressing down the gun she had raised.
"Body?" Hearing Chu Feng’s words, everyone present looked surprised.
Ignoring their confusion and wary speculation, Chu Feng turned around with a faint smile and extended his palm toward Huang Chuanhao, who was lying on the ground.
"Where’s the Crystal I gave you? Hand it over!"
"What are you trying to do?" Huang Chuanhao clutched the chest pocket of his shirt, panic written all over his face.
"Such a hassle!"
Seeing Huang Chuanhao regarding him with such defensiveness, Chu Feng’s expression darkened.
RRIP!
With the sound of tearing fabric, Chu Feng ripped the pocket on the man’s chest. Amidst the flying scraps of fabric, a thumb-sized Crystal fell out.
"Come on! Swallow it." Chu Feng caught the Crystal and held it to Huang Chuanhao’s mouth, commanding.
"You... no! You must have tampered with this Crystal! I won’t eat it!" The more Huang Chuanhao looked at the Crystal, the more he felt something was wrong with it. He shook his head wildly and tried to scoot backward.
"Heh, you think you can escape?" A cold smile touched Chu Feng’s lips. He reached out his slender hands and grasped the other man’s chin like a vise.
With slight pressure from his fingers, Huang Chuanhao’s tightly closed mouth offered no resistance and was easily pried open.
"Swallow it down!" Chu Feng flicked his finger, sending the thumb-sized Crystal directly down the man’s throat.
"COUGH! COUGH COUGH! GAG..."
Finally free, Huang Chuanhao frantically clawed at his throat, desperately trying to trigger his gag reflex and vomit out the swallowed Crystal.
Chu Feng naturally wouldn’t let him succeed.
Forming his right hand into a knife-edge, he chopped lightly on the back of Huang Chuanhao’s neck. The man’s eyes rolled up, and he collapsed to the floor.
"Chu Feng, what are you doing?" His companions looked at Chu Feng’s actions, their faces full of confusion.
Seeing everyone’s puzzled expressions, Chu Feng chuckled lightly before saying, "Consider this: a powerful Exorcist, constantly emitting Spiritual Power, lies here unconscious and defenseless. How attractive do you think he’d be to Hell Creatures?"
"They’d probably go crazy!" Amita, astonished by Chu Feng’s words, muttered in response.
"That’s right. A body like that would be far more attractive to Hell Creatures than even ordinary humans considered perfect vessels for possession!" Taran confirmed with a confident nod after a moment’s thought.
"So, Chu Feng, your purpose in keeping this fraud was to use him to attract Hell Creatures?" Lin Qiu’s eyes filled with shock.
"Why would you think that? I am, after all, a good person! How could I possibly have such an evil thought from the beginning?" Chu Feng looked at Lin Qiu beside him with disbelief, his tone carrying a hint of annoyance at being misunderstood.
"Alright, at least Chu Feng’s decision is very useful for us!"
Amita, who had approached Huang Chuanhao’s side unnoticed, quickly produced a withered yellow leaf.
With a gentle pinch of two fingers, the leaf turned into fine yellow powder in his palm.
Amita then held his palm near Huang Chuanhao’s nose and mouth and blew gently. The yellow powder vanished into the man’s wide nostrils in an instant.
"Amita, what are you doing?" The group looked at the Indian in confusion, not understanding his actions.
"Twilight Grass. Its leaves can make an ordinary person sleep for three days and three nights!"
"Just some double insurance," Amita said, shrugging casually at the group.
...
After leaving Huang Chuanhao in the room and making some arrangements, the group wasted no time. They picked up their weapons and headed straight for the source of the bizarre red glow.
Queens Central Hospital consisted of four interconnected buildings forming a quadrangle.
Chu Feng and the others had entered the emergency building at the front. The surgery and internal medicine buildings flanked it on either side, with the staff dormitory building at the rear.
They were now rushing to the area at the very center of the four buildings: the courtyard garden.
It was originally a place for patients’ families and medical staff to relax.
In springtime, countless varieties of flowers would bloom here, attracting swarms of bees and butterflies that danced among them.
This once tranquil and peaceful place was now utterly destroyed!
Beneath their feet lay scorched earth. The acrid smell of sulfur and burning material stung their nostrils, making them wrinkle their brows.
"Look over there! That must be the source of the bizarre red light and the Flame Barrier!"
Following Chu Feng’s pointing finger, they saw it. Behind a charred wooden rack, a fiery circle ten meters in diameter burned in the middle of the garden.
The ring itself, the space between its outer and inner edges, was less than two meters wide—just enough for an adult to stand in.
The circle was now filled with a pile of corpses—patients and medical staff—stacked nearly two meters high. This gruesome mound completely blocked their view of what lay within the inner ring.
Above the ring, a colossal phantom resembling a serpent’s eye hovered in mid-air.
Chu Feng was instantly shocked. This scene... it’s almost identical to the Gate of Breaking Boundary recorded in the Exorcism Chronicles!
"Hurry! We absolutely cannot let the Gate of Breaking Boundary open!" Chu Feng urgently spurred everyone forward.
"Chu Feng, what Gate of Breaking Boundary?" Although everyone was confused, they involuntarily sped up.
"The Gate of Breaking Boundary is a Formation that creates a spatial channel connecting two worlds! If this Formation is completed, Demons from Hell will be able to enter our world freely. Then, all of humanity will be nothing but lambs to the slaughter!"
"How can such an outrageous Formation exist?" Hearing this, everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"The one before us is only a small Gate of Breaking Boundary. If it were a large one, I’d have us turn and flee immediately. That wouldn’t be something we could handle!"
As he spoke, the group reached the edge of the Gate of Breaking Boundary.
Gazing at the countless mutilated human corpses, a heavy feeling settled in everyone’s heart.
At least hundreds of bodies were piled before them. The visual impact was beyond words.
"UGH! Chu Feng, how do we break this damned Formation? Do we need to clear out all these corpses?" Lin Qiu asked, her brows tightly furrowed, after dry-heaving at the sight of the mountain of bodies.
"These corpses have now merged with the Formation. It will be difficult to clear them all out quickly."
"Then what do we do?"
