Outside a second-floor bedroom, Daisel knocked gently before announcing to the room from the doorway.

Tatyana’s somewhat languid voice drifted from the bedroom, her coquettish tone laced with a faint excitement.

Daisel gently pushed the door open and gestured with a nod for Chu Feng, who stood beside him, to enter.

But Tatyana, who had sat up lightly from the bed, ignored Chu Feng’s question. Barefoot, her feet as white as milk, she walked straight to the chair by the bedroom window and sat down.
