The Extra Seeks Chaos
Chapter 264: Arin vs Kiara (1/2)
Arin was atop the branch of a tree quite a few distance away from Kiara, Draka and Landon.
"Hmm, the other trees are blocking my view," he muttered.
When the battle was going on, he noticed that Kiara was immersed in watching the battle.
Though he knew that she was a Dragon and she would definitely notice if he was leaving.
But he also knew that she wouldn't notice if he used a certain skill.
"...Extra's Cloak..."
Using the Extra's Cloak Skill, he was able to leave where the battle was taking place undetected.
"Arin... I was thinking, what if she's actually saying the truth?" Seraphine asked.
Arin furrowed his brows. "Hmm, I don't know, but for now, I can't trust her. I don't even know this 'mother' she's talking about."
"That's true," Seraphine said. "I understand."
Suddenly, Arin felt someone approaching him at top speed, and before he knew it...
WHOOSH!
'The tree...'
The tree began falling.
Without wasting time, he jumped down, and the tree finally fell down.
He was now standing face to face with Kiara.
"Look, you have every right to be suspicious, but please, you'll find out everything you want to know," Kiara said.
At this point, Arin could sense it in her voice that she was pleading.
But still...
'Looks and tone can be deceiving...' Arin thought.
He didn't know why, but he just couldn't trust her, especially after the games she was playing in the Academy.
"No," Arin said, his voice firm.
With that, he turned back and began walking away, but as he was walking, he heard Kiara's voice.
"You are standing your ground, huh? Then I have no other choice."
Arin halted immediately he heard this.
He turned back and looked at Kiara with a raised brow. "What are you talking about?"
Kiara stared at Arin directly in the eyes. "Mother told me to bring you with me to the Dragon Realm. She told me to ask you to follow me..."
Kiara paused, her gaze lingering on Arin.
"But she mentioned that if you refused to follow me, then... I should bring you by force..."
As soon as Arin heard this, his body moved on its own.
WHOOSH!
He instantly dashed away. At the same time, the Shadow Sword appeared on his hand.
Kiara's legs were instantly surrounded by a purple Energy, and in the blink of an eye...
WHOOSH! BOOM!
She arrived in front of Arin.
Arin stopped as he gripped the sword, staring at Kiara who was now in front of him.
Instantly, a sword also appeared on Kiara's hand, her eyes never leaving Arin.
The two of them stood in silence for some seconds before Kiara broke the silence.
"Only if you will follow me, so you can ask mother all your questions, then we won't be fighting each other," Kiara said.
Arin didn't reply.
He chose not to reply.
He didn't even want to let his guard down for even a second.
Kiara sighed. "I can feel it... You won't change your mind, huh?"
With that realization, she decided to attack.
WHOOSH!
She dashed towards Arin, her sword ready.
Her sword was suddenly enveloped with a purple Energy as her speed increased.
Arin, seeing this, also decided to make his move.
He gripped his own sword and dashed towards Kiara.
He added Blood Energy to his hands, boosting his swinging power.
As soon as they both reached each other, they both swung their swords towards each other with great force.
WHOOSH! CLANG!
Sparks flew as metal clashed with metal.
The both of them stumbled backwards, and once again, they began staring at each other.
This time, Arin decided to attack first.
He dashed forward, his eyes fixated on Kiara who for some reason, after their first clash, was smiling.
Arin instantly arrived beside her and swung his sword with force.
WHOOSH!
The sword sliced through the air, heading straight for Kiara.
But just as it was about to hit her...
BOOM!
A purple transparent barrier enveloped her, blocking Arin's sword.
Instantly, Arin leaped back.
But as soon as he landed...
"Not so fast..."
He suddenly heard a voice behind him.
Quickly, without even turning, he summoned four Water Bubbles around him.
And then...
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Three of the Water Bubbles instantly destroyed as Arin leaped forward, creating distance again.
Arin gritted his teeth. 'I thought this fight wouldn't be this serious. It seems I have to use the skills in my arsenal.'
As Arin was having this thought, Kiara suddenly disappeared from where she was standing.
Instantly, she appeared beside Arin, her sword already moving.
Arin's eyes widened slightly, though he was able to follow her movement, so he was able to quickly react.
He instantly moved his hand, and then...
CLANG!
Sparks flew as he deflected Kiara's sword, but Kiara wasn't done.
She raised her leg swiftly, delivering a kick to Arin's stomach.
Arin stumbled backwards as he winced slightly.
'She's strong... Really strong...' Arin thought.
Even with his enhanced physical capabilities, he still felt like he was slower than her.
'The only good thing is that I can slightly read her movement...'
"Are dragons that strong?" Seraphine asked, though it was more like she was talking to herself than to Arin.
"The Dragons and Vampires have never fought each other before," Seraphine muttered. "And with what I'm seeing, I hope it stays that way..."
Of course, Seraphine believed in the strength of the Vampires, but if an average Dragon was as strong as this girl, then it would be trouble if the Vampires and Dragons went to war.
Arin smiled lightly. "Three Supreme Races, huh? If that's the case, then the Dragons have to be the strongest. Not even the Phoenixes..."
And because of that, if he wanted to stand his ground against Kiara, he would have to do more than just swinging his sword.
Arin grinned beneath his mask as he began releasing his Blood Energy.
His appearance instantly began changing, making Kiara's purple eyes flicker for a second.
His short brown hair elongated and turned white.
His fingernails elongated into claws and fangs sprouted out from his mouth.
His eyes now glowed a deep red as he stared at Kiara.
Kiara had a frown on her face, but Arin could also see a look of concern.
Kiara gritted her teeth in anger as she clenched her fist. "Those damn leeches... They did this to you..."
She looked at Arin in the eyes before continuing,
"Don't worry, Arin. I know mother will find a way to deal with this. I know she will..."
Arin just gripped his sword as he stared at Kiara.
Now that he was completely in his Vampire form, he could feel his Blood Energy flowing through his body and he could control it better to further increase his physical capabilities.
Apart from that, he was already prepared to activate the Overheat Skill and the Aura Skill if needed.
Though, with the way he was seeing Kiara, he felt like he would definitely activate the two skills.
Apart from the Skills, there was one more reason why Arin was still confident.
'The Chaos Element is the Major Weakness of the Three Supreme Races... The Vampires, The Phoenixes, and The Dragons...' Arin thought. 'That is an advantage for me. If I can make the Chaos Element enter her through the Chaotic Ember Spell, then it'll do immense damage.'
As for how to get the Chaos Element to enter her body, Arin was still unsure about it. Kiara was really fast, and dodging the Chaotic Ember Fireballs might just be very easy for her.
'Apart from that, immediately she sees the Fireballs, she'll instantly know that they are really dangerous to her, and she would try to avoid them at all cost,' Arin thought.
Suddenly, he had an idea...
'This might work...'
As for Kiara, she was trying to calm down.
Seeing her brother using the Energy of Vampires was really painful to her.
'He'll be far more stronger in this form... Even stronger than me,' Kiara thought.
Because of that, she decided to step up her game.
A purple Energy suddenly enveloped her, and her appearance began changing slightly.
Her hair remained purple, but the length began changing. Her hair began growing shorter until it reached her upper back.
Her purple eyes were now glowing with intensity.
Just like with Arin, her fingernails elongated into claws, and sharp fangs sprouted out from her mouth.
But it was the last two transformations that shocked Arin the most.
Purple coloured scales began appearing on different places on Kiara's skin.
The scales formed on her right hand, then formed on the left side of her neck, and so on.
It was just forming on different areas until it finally stopped.
Her body wasn't covered in scales, but it was still very obvious.
Her ears also became pointed.
As for the last change...
Arin furrowed his brows. 'She really is a Dragon...'
A pair of horns emerged from the right and left side of Kiara's forehead, enveloped with a purple Energy.
Arin prepared himself.
The real fight was about to start now...
