The Extra Villain's Second Chance: A Hero's System
Chapter 34 - 33 - Power’s Gap
CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 33 - POWER’S GAP
Dungeon.
Dungeons weren’t just ordinary rooms that existed underground.
If people on Earth define the word dungeon to symbolize an ordinary underground room, which anyone can make if they dig the ground, then the definition of a dungeon in this world is different.
Dungeons in this world refer more to the phenomenon of magical places that spawn monsters gradually.
When remembering the description of the dungeon in this world, Lev automatically frowned.
Dungeons were usually created mysteriously in places where people rarely visited, at least, that was the definition of a common dungeon in this world.
’How can there be a dungeon here?’
He was puzzled at the existence of a dungeon under the main building of the Razanov family mansion.
There was no way this dungeon was created by Andrei specifically to store the people he kidnapped.
Lev had never heard of someone—whether an individual or a group—who could create a dungeon as they wished.
Even in the Hero’s Destiny novel, he had never read a single sentence about someone who could summon a dungeon.
In other words, this dungeon was a dungeon that appeared by chance?!
Before Lev entered the mouth of the mysterious cave that he believed to be a dungeon, he saw one soldier standing like a statue. When he saw Lev, the soldier didn’t even react.
[Skill Master Puppetry - Release.]
That soldier was the soldier he controlled using the Master Puppetry skill.
After he canceled the control on that person, Lev knocked that person unconscious by hitting the back of his head.
Thud!
"Good job."
Lev was lucky to have done a little preparation.
When he noticed the door to the secret room from pulling one of the books on the shelf in Andrei’s private office, Lev didn’t enter it right away. He searched for random soldiers who were accidentally around Andrei’s personal office.
He used his Master Puppetry skill on the unlucky soldier and told him to go in and lure whoever was inside out so that Lev wouldn’t have to do any extra work. If the place was guarded by Andrei’s personal knight, then the soldier he controlled would only have to say that the Master told them to join the party.
Most of his stats were already at the level of a warrior expert, but if he had to fight two people who were already genuine knights, then he could only surrender.
If he didn’t move the soldier, then he would have to fight the knights.
While Lev lured the two guardian knights, he hid not far from Andrei’s personal office room. After seeing the two knights come out, he then entered this place.
"Should I go in now?"
While at first, he wasn’t sure whether the place he stepped into was a dungeon or not, he became convinced after stepping tens of meters inside.
Aside from the mana energy in the air feeling very thick, unlike outside, he was also greeted by several small monsters.
Goblins.
They surrounded Lev from various sides.
It wasn’t difficult to defeat them. The only problem was that he needed some time to adjust to the minimal light inside the dungeon.
Moreover, the goblins chose a place where there was no light at all to illuminate in launching surprise attacks.
Although Lev carried a personal sword on his waist, he did not draw it due to the limited space. He chose to take out a dagger from inside the magic pouch and use the swordsmanship skill.
’It looks like this is an ordinary regular-type dungeon.’
There were many types of dungeons in this world.
Starting from dream dungeons and time dungeons similar to natural disasters, then there were labyrinth-type dungeons with confusing shapes. He was grateful that this dungeon was not the labyrinth type. He would have run out of time if this turned out to be a labyrinth-type dungeon.
Among the many types of dungeons that existed in this world, there was one type of dungeon that was the most common. It is called a regular dungeon or a living dungeon.
One only needs to enter until the end of the room to meet the dungeon boss. Then defeat that boss so that the dungeon doesn’t produce any more monsters. In other words, there was only one straight path that led into the dungeon, so Lev didn’t get confused about choosing a route.
Seeing the goblins that appeared out of nowhere, he guessed that this dungeon boss was deliberately not killed by Andrei. ’It looks like he’s utilizing this dungeon to store the victims he kidnapped.’
The task of the knights guarding the mouth of the dungeon seemed to be not just to prevent someone from entering the dungeon, but to prevent monsters from leaving the dungeon.
And in case someone accidentally entered, one would also have to bother fighting the monsters of the dungeon, so that if there was one servant who accidentally entered could immediately become a corpse, there was no need to fear the news of the existence of a dungeon under the main building of the mansion being revealed.
Slash!
"Grkk."
Thwack!
"Puhiii."
Boom!
"Kiikk."
In an instant, Lev had defeated the horde of goblins.
He slit their throats, pierced their hearts, and kicked their asses until their faces hit the stone wall and died.
Their bodies were only the size of a five-year-old human child.
There weren’t many difficulties that Lev faced. However, if an untrained person fought against them, surely that untrained person could instantly die when attacked simultaneously.
"..."
Lev stood in the middle of the scattered goblin bodies.
He kept looking at the air in front of his face as if hoping for some notification from the Hero’s System to come.
"Nothing?"
He confirmed the goblins’ breath and heartbeat—he was sure they were completely dead.
’But, why is there no notification?
He was hoping to get kill points for killing them. However, he never received a notification stating that his kill points had increased.
In the past week or so, he had been too busy to even try to find monsters to kill.
After all, he had to get out of the city to kill monsters.
Moreover, he had to think of ways how to find monsters that he could kill. Hence, he had not tried killing monsters—whether killing monsters gave him kill points or not.
The answer seemed to be a definite no.
’Is that because monsters don’t have common sense? So they can’t be categorized as someone who has evil intentions towards me?’
It was a bit unfortunate, but it didn’t matter.
Lev chose to continue his journey. His feet ran through the winding cave. Along the way, he fought various monsters—no, there were only green-skinned goblins blocking the way.
There were various levels of dungeons in this world.
The level of the dungeon was based on how thick the mana in the dungeon was. Supposedly, the thickness of the mana in the dungeon cannot be measured by the naked eye. You must use some kind of magic item to measure the thickness of the mana in the dungeon.
But there was an exception. If someone could feel the thickness of the mana in the dungeon with the naked eye, then the dungeon could certainly have a high rank.
Lev was quite able to sense the thickness of mana along the way, ’But why is it that the only monsters I encounter are goblins?’
His confusion didn’t last long.
In front of him was already a large door leading to what he suspected to be the boss room. The ornaments on the door made Lev frown. ’Let’s ignore it.’
Just as he placed a hand on the doorknob, ready to pull the door open, he was startled by someone’s voice from behind his back.
"What are you doing here, Young Master?"
Lev’s body froze instantly. His hands were as stiff as a Statue of Liberty.
"Hufftt."
He closed his eyes and composed himself. It didn’t take long for him to break free from the freezing that occurred due to shock. He put on his usual calm face again. He turned around to see who had come.

"Shit!"
What god stat was Lev looking at? He doubted his eyes.
The person who came to him had the appearance of a person who was almost a grandfather. He had a thin mustache on a quarter of his face. However, the shaving on his mustache seemed very neat.
As for his body, he only wore a cuirass without much armor covering his body. However, there was a custom sword in his hand which indicated that he was not an ordinary person.
The aura he exuded could also suffocate others.
Tozir. He was the number one strongest person that the Razanov family had. The title he had was knight commander.
It’s not strange for the person who was always by Andrei’s side to be involved in Andrei’s crimes of kidnapping people. He could be said to be Andrei’s right-hand man.
"Was my previous question not clear enough?! What are you doing here, Young Master?"
For now, he decided to feign ignorance. "Would you believe me if I said that I was lost?"
"I apologize in advance, Young Master. For now, I will immobilize you first."
"Wait! I’m not lying—koehok!"
When Lev wanted to argue, Tozir had already arrived before his eyes in an instant and grabbed him by the neck. It seemed that he wanted to make Lev faint by making him out of breath.
Lev tried to hold Tozir’s hand that was holding his neck, preventing the grip on his neck from strengthening. What can he say, he couldn’t do anything at all.
