CHAPTER 165: TRUE MAGIC
Raze looked at Seraph, and he could instantly tell that she was at least as strong as the captains of the knight Chapters, but also in a way she felt stronger.
"It’s nice meeting you too Seraph, I am Raze Grimhold, currently holding the spot as the baron for now. Whatever you need to know about Ribest, you can ask me," Raze said, and then turned his gaze back to the queen, who immediately spoke.
"There is also the issue with the viscount. I heard he attacked you," Queen Marine stated.
"He did. Honestly, I kind of expected it from the very start," Raze replied.
"Hmmm, you dealt with it pretty easily," Lady Rose stated.
"Everyone has their secrets, and when you have proper time to prepare, there’s nothing you can’t do," Raze replied, making sure it was vague enough, keeping his signature smile on his face.
"It seems Viscount Luke is really about to become a menace before he goes. Deal with the situation, Raze. Sadly, I can’t give you men to fight due to the law, but you have Seraph to use as you will," Marine said.
"Tsk, I originally wanted to let it all slide, but after his attack, there’s no way for me to do that. So yes, I’ll be retaliating soon, and I already have a plan in the works. Seraph will be a nice addition," he stated.
Marine smiled; everything had gone how she wanted. At the end of the day she still got Raze to take out Luke.
"That’s great then," she replied and then rose to her feet. "Seraph and Alice will be staying here a bit, as Alice wants to talk to you. She’ll be working on the abomination cure from here, so make sure you make her feel at home and find a way to surround her with books, else she’ll go missing," Marine stated.
"Hey, Your Majesty, that’s not nice," Alice said.
"She didn’t lie, now did she?" Lady Rose asked with a smile.
"Tsk, fuck off," Alice cursed.
Lady Rose let out a hearty laugh and got up as well. Both headed for the door. Raze and Elaine accompanied them to get into their carriage and leave. He watched as the carriage pulled away.
"For a queen, she does move around without guards," Raze said.
"She is constantly guarded," Seraph stated, looking at the carriage with a knowing eye.

Boom Boom Boom
Explosions rang out as multiple fireballs fell from the sky, but Fey leaped backwards with grace and dodged each of them easily while still keeping his eyes on the person that was casting, Ella.
She had her hands spread out, her brows furrowed and her eyes locked on Fey. She gritted her teeth hard as she saw every attack miss him. Her breathing was heavy, but her drive was still high.
"Your ability to cast spell-less has grown, human, but there is still so much room for getting better," Fey said, then lunged forward, covering the distance at an astonishing pace.
Ella reacted fast, using a flame spell that blasted her backwards and out some distance. She gritted her teeth harder and lifted her hands, firing multiple flame arrows right at Fey in rapid succession, but he dodged each one easily, then flipped into the air, slamming his feet into the ground, creating an earth ripple as a long train of rocks rushed through the ground toward her.
They went under her feet and tripped her to the ground. Her back hit with a heavy thud, but she quickly rolled back to her feet, looking at Fey who was just standing there.
She clapped her hands together. "Arghhhhhhh!" she growled as lightning began covering her hands. She lifted her hands into the air and slashed down. A massive lightning whip formed, coming down at Fey, but he stomped the ground and an earth arch formed, taking the attack. It shattered the arch, but Fey was safe.
She looked at him in surprise; nothing she had done for the past few days could even get close.
"How are you even a better silent caster than Raze?" she asked.
"Hmmm, Raze is talented, one of the few humans that I have seen capable of such, but he isn’t a beast or monster as you humans put it. Most of us aren’t born with a high level of intelligence. No, that’s not right; as a Fenrir I had a high level of intelligence, but my ancestors didn’t.
"The struggle for survival pushed us into learning how to use Mana, and as beasts, we are innately more connected, allowing us to attune ourselves even better. So from there, we learnt how to use true magic," Fey said.
"True magic, is that what you call it?" she asked.
"Yes, because that’s what it is. You humans use mediums, spells and tools, and sure it helps. Many races do too, even mine, but before we use tools, we master true magic to the core.
"You on the other hand were handed crutches, and over the years humans got better and better crutches, until now only a few people actually can move without it, you being one," he said, and then stomped his feet. A large earth spike shot at her. She rolled out of the way and attacked with a flame blade.
He swatted it away and dashed forward. "The fact that you are capable of this much shows your diligence. After all, it’s only been a few months, has it not?" he said while throwing a punch. She pulled back, managing to dodge, and then blasted a fireball at close range. He tanked the hit, but it gave her enough time to put some distance between them.
"Thanks. I guess all my work is paying off, but I am nowhere near the level of Raze!" she roared as she slammed her fist into the ground, causing a massive wave of lightning. Fey leaped into the air and avoided it.
"You don’t need to be. You are your own person, and that’s what makes you good. You can look up to Raze, but not try to be him."
