CHAPTER 425: JUST WHAT IS SHE THINKING?

Though it was shocking that a young girl had suddenly appeared and claimed she was going to clear the dungeons that special forces couldn’t even clear, they decided to listen to the higher-ups.

They thought all this was for show, and Alice was walking into her death, but they soon shut their mouths as they watched with their own eyes what power looked like.

For several days, Alice was busy clearing the dungeons as well as killing monsters from the red zone.

Yes, she was powerful, but taking on Red Gate monsters and SS-class monsters consecutively was no joke.

She did not stop to rest for even a minute. And she was taking them all on her own. Leo did not interfere and watched her.

From the way she swung her axe and her hammer, and even sometimes changed to using a sword, a bow and arrow, and then a spear, he could feel her despair so vividly.

He didn’t even need to connect to her thoughts to know what she was thinking or how much she was drowning in her despair.

Well, thanks to this, she got full mastery of her weapons and had gotten a new skill. *Weapon mastery*

She could use any weapon in existence, and it didn’t even matter what grade of weapon it was, so long she equipped it, it would become a deadly weapon with a damage output similar to that of legendary weapons.

That was the result of Alice’s despairing hunting.

She did not stop at one red gate, which took her three days to complete, and went into other red gates around the area.

She killed all the monsters in the red zones. The hydras, the minotaurs, the crimson Griffins, the ogres, and even trolls were notorious for their regenerative ability.

She got a lot of skills picked up and most of them met the activation requirements excuse for the regenerative ability. It was still locked because she had not met the cruel requirement.

But it did advance from an S-class skill to an SS-class skill. If she killed several other powerful regenerating monsters then it would turn into a Legendary skill.

In other words, she would be similar to an immortal who couldn’t be killed.

He was looking forward to that day. The day she would become unbeatable.

Even if she came across an enemy she couldn’t kill in one go, an enemy that was capable of overpowering her, she would be fine.

So long they couldn’t kill her, she would have several chances of getting back at them and killing them.

"But before that, I have to get this to her." He thought out loud and then got up from the corpse he was sitting on.

Alice was currently battling the Kraken in the sea, and unlike the first time when she had to fight a Kraken and depend on the ledge that just so happened to be there, she was far more capable with her ability to fly and the hate in her eyes.

She was so focused that she had no idea she was nearly out of energy.

Leo had prepared a little monster meat for her to help refill her energy and aid her.

She had been at this for seven days without having a single bite or sleeping a wink and it made him worried. She was pushing herself too far.

If she continued like this, she would definitely faint from exhaustion.

’But it’s impressive.’ Leo thought. ’She can go several days without taking a single bite or sleeping and she still looks fine. Yet on a normal day, she would complain about how hungry she was just two hours after eating.’

It was as if she was punishing herself.

’Just what is she thinking?’ He wondered, watching her as water splashed over her face, the strong temper she had was stronger this time.

Well, at least she wasn’t using her demonic energy. With this, she was able to grow her stats even more.

No man on Earth was able to accomplish the feats she was accomplishing.

’Well, it’s what you expect from a constellation chosen.’ He thought. ’Oh, it’s over.’

With a final thrust of her spear, Alice was able to finish the Kraken.

She had a harder time taking on the Kraken because, not only was it several times bigger and stronger than the one she faced the first time in the calamity gate, but she was also exhausted.

Alice stood on top of the floating corpse of the Kraken, breathing heavily, her chest heaving in and out, and her eyes, which were filled with life, looked exhausted.

From above, there was a helicopter capturing the entire thing. It had been watching Alice’s subjugation for days and reporting it on the news.

Alice didn’t care about what they were doing. So long they did not get in her way then it was fine with her.

And with this, she was sure she would be able to draw the enemy towards this place.

They would try to exhaust her so much to the point where even a baby could finish her up.

’Yeah, this is fine.’ Alice thought and then looked up, closing her eyes as she felt power rushing over her. ’Keep bringing them towards me. I’ll get rid of you sick bastard’s that took everything for me.’ she clenched her spear tightly and then her ring glowed.

She looked at it and realized she needed to let Domus out today.

"Alright, I hope you like Kraken meat." She said and finally released him.

While she had hunted on her own, she let Domus feed as much as he wanted so he could evolve into a stronger species, and right now, he looked like a fully grown adult but more majestic with his golden head gear that had grown along with his maturity and then his golden wings.

After coming out, it rubbed its head against Alice, and Alice brushed its feathery head.

"I get it. I get it."

Thanks to them being linked, she could understand his concerns and what he was trying to say. And right now, it wanted her to rest.

She wanted to just ignore it and keep hunting but she caught sight of Leo at the shore, waiting for her with something tasty in his hands, and she realized he wouldn’t let her off without resting this time.

He might even force her to sleep if she didn’t decide to take a rest now.

"I’ll take a break." Alice said and hopped off the Kraken, a long blue line following her feet like an afterimage till she landed on the shore. "I’m back."

"Do you feel better now?" Leo asked her.

"Half better." Alice said, taking the plate for him and her mouth began to salivate. Ah, she hadn’t thought about food in these last few days.

The smell of it made her want to melt.

But it also made her realize that Leo was actually more caring than he portrayed. She had so many warm people around her that it touched her heart.

"Thank you, Leo." She said and Leo nodded. But before he realized it, she had kissed his cheek. "I’ll rest a little and then get back to hunting."

Leo stood there, transfixed.

What did she do that for?

He watched her as she sat on the floor and began to dig in with no care in the world. That was the Alice he knew but somehow, she felt different.

Or was he simply just looking at her like that because of what she was going through.

His heart was different as well. It was strange but he didn’t want to think of it.
