Capítulo 1076: Chapter 1076: I Can Swear to It
At dusk, when Yin Mo and He Chen left the mall, they had spent over twelve million. Besides various branded clothes, they had also purchased thirty sets of lingerie.
While all the branded clothing needed to be sent back to Purple Cloud Mansion by the brands themselves, Ah Yong was the one carrying back the thirty sets of underwear.
Back at the villa, Yin Mo used the excuse to take a shower, while He Chen sat in the living room smoking, his handsome face shrouded in a smoke-induced inscrutability.
In the bathroom, Yin Mo leaned against the door and called Yun Lih.
They exchanged a few concise words, and Yun Lih responded softly, “Alright, I’ll think of a way.”
“Try to keep him busy for me, no need for long, around an hour,” Yin Mo instructed with a flat tone, and added: “Don’t let him find out; after it’s over, I’ll message you.”
A few minutes later, Yin Mo hung up and came out of the bathroom.
Distracted by thoughts of tomorrow’s matters, she returned to the living room absent-mindedly and sat beside He Chen, lost in thought.
The slanting rays of the setting sun spilled through the window, casting a warm hue. He Chen tugged at his shirt collar, the hint of a smile on his lips, “Sweetheart, did you bathe your soul?”
Yin Mo lifted her head in confusion, meeting He Chen’s gaze, and lied casually, “Just a bit tired, don’t want to move…”
The man knowingly pressed his thin lips, “Such things… I can do for you.”
“Are you going to the He Family tomorrow afternoon? Take me with you, would you?” Yin Mo’s eyes flickered, naturally shifting the topic.
He Chen squinted his eyes, raising his right arm, “Come here and say.”
Yin Mo reluctantly moved closer to him, resting against his shoulder as his arm fell upon her, and once again tried to persuade, “If they bully you, at least I can help.”
He Chen’s eyelid twitched, amused by Yin Mo’s choice of words.
Bully him?
He Chen kneaded her shoulder, “How will you help?”
Yin Mo adjusted her posture, turning slightly to say, “I’ve thought about it. If Auntie is really imprisoned by Rong Manli, and hasn’t been found all these years, it’s either because she has help, or… it’s fake.
But since you are certain Auntie is still alive, someone must be secretly helping Rong Manli. Although I don’t know what you’re going to do at the He Family, being with you is better than you fighting alone.”
Moreover, her main purpose in coming to Parma was to help He Chen share the burden.
At this moment, He Chen tightened his grip on Yin Mo’s shoulder, leaned back lazily, curling his lips, “Sweetheart, your ability to sweet-talk has improved greatly.”
Yin Mo put on an innocent look, “It’s the truth, not sweet-talk.”
He Chen licked his lips, seemingly compromising, and asked, “Really want to go?”
“Yes, I want to go with you.”
The man’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he shamelessly made a condition, “Wear the lingerie from the blue packaging bag and show me.”
Yin Mo instantly blushed, and refused firmly, “No way.”
He Chen patted her cheek, smiling leisurely, “Then forget about going with me, just wait obediently at home.”
“Why are you like this?” Yin Mo frowned, glaring at him with dissatisfaction.
Maybe Yin Mo herself hadn’t noticed that she seemed increasingly relaxed in front of He Chen, emotions she used to hesitate to express now came easily.
He Chen puffed his cheeks, and stared directly into Yin Mo’s eyes, “Sweetheart, as long as you wear it, I’ll let you go. If not, don’t even think about it.”
He was obviously making things difficult for Yin Mo, privately hoping she would abandon the idea of fighting alongside him.
He Chen might appear carefree, but he is, in fact, very domineering and strong-willed.
Simply put, it’s macho pride and possessiveness at play.
He never wanted to expose Yin Mo to the public, especially not to those rubbish family members from the He Family.
No matter how capable or intelligent Yin Mo was, she might not be able to guard against their vile tactics.
He Chen was utterly convinced of this as he himself had survived the vile tactics of the He Family with great difficulty.
The atmosphere in the living room gradually grew tense.
Yin Mo said nothing, while He Chen remained at ease.
After a dozen seconds or so, Yin Mo shook off his hand and turned to walk upstairs.
He Chen sighed, leaned forward to wrap his arms around her waist, pulling her back into his embrace, and asked with his face close to hers, “Angry?”
Yin Mo dropped her eyelids, remaining silent, showing no intimacy whatsoever.
Seeing this, the man coaxed her helplessly, “It’s not that I won’t let you go, but I don’t want you to meet those people.”
Yin Mo still kept her lips tightly sealed, stubbornly refusing to speak.
He Chen reached out to pinch the soft flesh of her cheek, “Next time, I’ll take you, you can protect me, okay?”
Yin Mo turned her head slightly to avoid him, asking coolly, “Will you keep your word?”
“Of course I will.” He Chen raised his eyebrows and smiled, staring at her delicate lips, impatiently kissing her several times, “I swear, if I lie to you, I’ll never be able to get it up for life.”
Yin Mo raised the corners of her lips, returned his kiss once, “Okay.”
He Chen felt a bit light-headed, convinced this woman was being unusually considerate and obedient today.
Perhaps, when it came to Yin Mo, he always had his thinking influenced by his lower half, He Chen overlooked the slyness in Yin Mo’s eyes for the first time, holding her close, kissing and nibbling, “Sweetheart, when do you plan to try out that making love thing with me?”
Yin Mo: “…”
To try? Well, it’s not impossible.
But Yin Mo was reluctant to nod just yet, aside from retaining a shred of uncertainty within, more so she wanted to see He Chen’s concern and restraint.
She was unsure how long his affection would last, yet every time he seemed deeply moved, he forcibly restrained his desire, allowing Yin Mo to strongly feel that it was because he cared hence he suppressed.
A flutter of emotion surged inexplicably in Yin Mo’s heart. She swallowed hard, turned her face slightly, and asked in a low voice, “What if I say… after marriage?”
He Chen lifted his eyelids, his thin lips curling slowly upward, “Then stay away from me.”
Yin Mo’s gaze slightly paused, her expression also froze a little.
He Chen didn’t give her a chance to inquire, directly pulling her hand and slipping it into his waistband, “Captain Yin, if you don’t want to live as a widow at a young age, don’t touch me anymore, this thing I can’t control, just holding you can make it hard.”
This most primal reaction drawn out by Yin Mo, He Chen genuinely couldn’t control.
He might be extravagant and frivolous, but he was by no means a lecherous person.
Precisely because he had many women, this kind of thing no longer had the initial appeal to him.
Yet with Yin Mo, a mere hug could ignite his desires like wildfire.
Not only that, this woman could even directly influence his rational mind and thoughts.
He Chen felt that Yin Mo was probably the piece of his rib he had lost, finding her made life complete.
After a while, Yin Mo left his embrace, quietly heading upstairs.
He Chen did not forcibly keep her, instead, he sat in the living room, pondering when exactly Yin Mo’s influence on him began.
Minute by minute passed as the day waned, He Chen walked to the bar and poured himself a glass of whiskey.
Footsteps sounded at the staircase, he raised an eyebrow and glanced over, his gaze froze.
This woman, definitely plans to disarm him without a fight?
