Chapter 1078: Chapter 1078: His Baby Has a Secret
He Chen once loved someone who said she wanted to respect religious beliefs and leave all the beauty for the night of marriage.
He believed it wholeheartedly, guarded her closely without being too forward, and even embraced her with caution.
Yet, even someone like him, with deep-rooted feelings, was ultimately hurt beyond recognition.
Even though she looked down on his background, she couldn’t let go of his kindness.
In the end, she comfortably used religious beliefs as an excuse to enjoy everything He Chen gave her.
Later, on the day he went to propose, he witnessed two people together intimately, and he could see from her demeanor that she was clearly not inexperienced.
Since then, He Chen no longer believed women’s lies and played around far better than any man in the flowerbed.
Now, encountering Yin Mo, he suddenly wants to try again, to keep her until the wedding day, wondering if the outcome would be different.
…
The next day, at seven in the morning, Yin Mo woke up in He Chen’s embrace.
The quiet bedroom was dimly lit, the man beside her, even in sleep, held her tightly.
Yin Mo’s gaze was clear, staring steadfastly at He Chen, yet she could not quite understand him.
Last night, he was clearly very tempted, but in the end, he chose to let her use her hand to help him relieve.
Yin Mo turned her head to stare at the ceiling, unable to avoid a faint sense of relief and secret joy.
Feeling glad he didn’t act impulsively, and secretly joyful about his caring and indulgence.
Yin Mo gently turned over, carefully burrowing into his embrace.
He Chen wasn’t sleeping deeply, and upon sensing movement beside him, he naturally held her tighter.
He wasn’t fully awake, his handsome face showing a sleepy haze, keeping Yin Mo securely in his arms, soon falling back asleep.
At eight thirty, He Chen was awakened by the vibrating sound of his phone.
He instinctively reached for the pillow beside him, not feeling the soft woman, and immediately frowned.
The phone continued to buzz on the bedside table, He Chen pinched his brow, picked up the call, saying, “Interrupting my sleep early in the morning, do you want me to teach you a lesson?”
On the other end, Yun Lih paused for a few seconds, “It’s almost nine o’clock, do you still consider this morning?”
He Chen propped himself up against the bed head, taking a cigarette from the packet and placing it in his mouth, “Speak up, spit it out.”
“Come to the old house.”
He Chen squinted, “The old man is looking for me?”
Yun Lih replied vaguely, “You’ll know when you come, hurry up, time waits for no one.”
Damn!
He Chen cursed as he looked at the disconnected phone, wondering if this bastard was full of himself.
…
Downstairs, when He Chen walked into the dining room in his robe, he saw Yin Mo busy near the Glazed Pavilion.
The sunlight was bright, falling on her, filling the room with warmth and beauty.
He Chen lazily walked over, pressing his chest against her curvy figure, “What time did you wake up?”
“Seven thirty.” Yin Mo turned her head and smiled at him, then looked at his chest, “The Patriarch Shang prepared some herbal medicine for you, I’ve boiled it. I’ll apply some ointment later, it should help.”
Following her gaze, He Chen looked and playfully teased, “You’re more effective than the medicine.”
Yin Mo glared at him and gestured toward the dining table, urging him to eat quickly.
After breakfast, before nine o’clock, He Chen turned his head and exhaled a thin mist, “Go change clothes, I’ll take you out.”
Yin Mo’s breath hitched, showing a difficult expression, she furrowed her brow, “Now?”
“Why?” He Chen observed her with a faint smile, leaning close to the corner of the table, “Wearing lingerie to seduce me last night, wasn’t it just to go out with me today?”
Yin Mo pursed her lips, correcting him with a serious expression, “Don’t say that, it was just ordinary underwear.”
“Others wear it as ordinary, you wear it as a seduction.” He Chen pointed at her with a cigarette, then squinted, “Don’t want to go?”
Yin Mo sighed gently, “It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s that I have something to do. I have some subordinates who have arrived in Parma, I need to pick them up.”
He Chen’s mouth slowly turned downward, “Men?”
“Yes, former team members from the frontier’s second team.”
He Chen furrowed his brow in dissatisfaction, “Such big faces do they have. Since they’re subordinates, let Ah Yong pick them up.”
Yin Mo shook her head, her gaze was resolute, “I haven’t seen them in many years, it’s better if I go.”
He Chen responded with silence, but the displeasure was increasingly evident in his eyebrows.
Seeing this, Yin Mo got up and walked to his side, tugging on his arm, “How about this, you wait for me at the Shang Family Old House, and I’ll come to find you after picking them up.”
He Chen puffed out his cheeks, his eyes suddenly deep and inscrutable.
Yin Mo didn’t find anything amiss, seeing He Chen not speaking, she bent down to kiss his face lightly, “Okay?”
“Okay.” He Chen curled his thin lips meaningfully, “Then I’ll wait for you at the old house.”
In less than twenty minutes, the two went out in succession.
Yin Mo drove herself to Litang Bay in the north of the city, while He Chen stood on the steps at the door, his handsome face carrying a cryptic grin.
His darling has a secret!
Actually teamed up with Yun Lih to plot against him!
He Chen didn’t say he was going to the Shang Family Old House, but this woman confessed without being pressed.
Not long after, Ah Yong got out of the car and opened the rear door, responsibly reporting: “Brother Chen, last night we got news from the airport side, Miss Li’s close aide Ah Chang arrived in Parma with six people, and is currently staying in the east of the city.”
He Chen stepped one leg into the sedan, turned his head to look at Ah Yong, his eyes oddly gloomy, “Last night’s news, you’re reporting it now?”
Ah Yong drooped his head miserably, muttering in a small voice, “I wanted to report last night, but… I was afraid to disturb you and Miss Yin.”
“What did you say?”
Ah Yong, with nothing to lose, pointed at the villa’s floor-to-ceiling window, “Next time… remember to draw the curtains.”
Damn you.
He Chen lifted his leg and kicked him, saying grimly, “If you don’t want your eyes, you might as well donate them.”
Last night… Yin Mo’s attire…
He Chen’s temples throbbed twice, staring at Ah Yong’s eyes, wanting to gouge them out.
…
On the other side, a café in Litang Bay north of the city.
Yin Mo parked the car by the road, her expression indifferent, opened the door and got out, walked into the café, her gaze scanning around, quickly spotting a figure facing away from her at the wooden table by the window.
It was not yet ten in the morning, the café was sparsely populated, aside from a few chatting men and women, the woman by the window sat alone.
Yin Mo casually walked over, pulling out a chair and sitting in front of her.
Even after investigating Cheng Li’s background, but seeing her in person, Yin Mo still felt amazed.
Cheng Li was indeed beautiful, a pair of captivating fox eyes, paired with slightly raised brows, subtly exuding aloofness and allure.
Yin Mo was sizing her up, and Cheng Li was observing her in return.
Three seconds later, Cheng Li’s lips curled into a subtle smile, “Miss Yin, what would you like to drink?”
Yin Mo did not respond to her politeness, instead calling over the waiter to order a black coffee.
At this moment, Cheng Li picked up her coffee cup, took a sip, and sighed somewhat wistfully, “Turns out, he’s always liked women who drink black coffee…”
