CHAPTER 2005: CHAPTER 2005: EASY TO INVITE, HARD TO SEND AWAY

Richard Compton stared at Carson Flores, feeling that this young man came with ill intentions, his words laced with arrogance and deep malice.

"What happened?"

Carson Flores smiled and said, "I learned that the White Crane Immortal Sect was attacked and investigated it. I found out that the Heavenly Alliance members were hiding in the Infinite Sword Sect, so I went there to confront them, partly to seek justice for my White Crane Immortal Sect."

"Who knew that the first to attack me were a few Heavenly Immortals in green robes and masks. Upon inquiry, I found out they were assassins sent by your Green Cloudy Valley to assist the Heavenly Alliance, doing it for money..."

Richard Compton frowned, "What happened next?"

Carson Flores smiled faintly, his gaze growing colder: "They came for my life, but I don’t want to die. Since I survived, naturally, I had to kill them. But since you were paid for the job, it should be perfectly normal for people to die in such dealings, right? Surely, you wouldn’t blame me?"

Julius Randolph stood up abruptly, staring at Carson Flores in shock, "They’re all dead?"

Carson Flores nodded, "Yes, not only them but also the Heavenly Alliance’s Blue Clothed Blood Envoy, Cedric James, and Karter Hartman of the Infinite Sword Sect, along with all their strongmen are dead. After all, since they dared to strike against my White Crane Immortal Sect, they had to pay the price, right?"

Julius Randolph glared furiously at Carson Flores, "Did you kill them?"

"You could say that."

Carson Flores answered casually, "In business, there’s profit and loss; it should be quite normal, shouldn’t it? I assume you wouldn’t blame me."

Julius Randolph’s voice was filled with murderous intent, "You killed our people and still dared to come to Green Cloudy Valley. You indeed have great courage!"

Carson Flores laughed and said, "I even dared to scold the Heavenly Alliance Hierarch to his face. Why wouldn’t I dare to come to Green Cloudy Valley? What, are you planning to try and keep me here?"

Richard Compton held out a hand to stop Julius Randolph, speaking solemnly, "Did you come here to make a show of force?"

Carson Flores shook his head, "No, I said I came to discuss a deal with you. This deal concerns the life and death of the entire Green Cloudy Valley."

Richard Compton said coldly, "Feel free to say clearly."

Carson Flores smiled, "I heard that Green Cloudy Valley uses a Queen Gu Worm to control all the assassins. I’d like to see it, can Valley Master Richard fulfill this wish of mine?"

Richard Compton sneered, "The Queen Gu Worm is the core of our Green Cloudy Valley, I cannot give it to you."

Carson Flores smiled, "Valley Master Richard, are you sure you don’t want to reconsider? Hand over the Queen Gu Worm, and perhaps Green Cloudy Valley can continue to exist. If not, the whole valley might be destroyed..."

Richard Compton sneered, "Carson Flores, although you’re an Immortal Palace Envoy, you’re just an envoy. Aren’t you afraid of getting your tongue bitten by boasting so much?"

Carson Flores laughed, "So there’s no room for negotiation on this deal?"

Richard Compton sneered.

Julius Randolph sneered as well.

Their eyes were already filled with intense killing intent.

Carson Flores had killed their assassins and now openly provoked them, demanding the Queen Gu Worm. This was akin to trampling Green Cloudy Valley’s dignity underfoot repeatedly!

Such an insult is intolerable!

When had Green Cloudy Valley ever been humiliated like this?

Carson Flores clapped his hands, smiled, and said, "Since we can’t talk, I’ll take my leave."

Carson Flores stood and began walking gracefully out of the grand hall.

Richard Compton did not stop him, nor did Julius Randolph.

Green Cloudy Valley was filled with experts; it was easy to enter but difficult to leave. Unless given permission to leave, where could he possibly go?

If they were to kill someone, it would be outside, to avoid damaging the building and causing the need for repairs, which would be troublesome!

Carson Flores stepped out of the grand hall, stopping in the large stone plaza in front of it.

At that moment, numerous people in green robes appeared from all directions, sealing off every escape route.

These people were well-trained. Although their formation seemed disorganized, they effectively blocked all escape paths.

Richard Compton stood at the entrance of the grand hall, speaking solemnly, "Carson Flores, you arrogantly killed my people and walked in here openly. Did you ever consider that you might never leave again?"

Carson Flores smiled slightly, "I only worried that I couldn’t get inside. After all, this place is quite hidden, making it difficult to find you. But now I am here, do you know the saying that it’s easy to invite a deity but difficult to send them away? Now that I’m here, thinking of sending me away easily won’t be so simple."

Carson Flores’s gaze landed on Richard Compton, his smile growing even brighter, "Valley Master Richard, you had a path to life in front of you, yet you chose to refuse it yourself. Don’t blame me for what happens next. I’m going to give you a big gift, so enjoy it!"

Carson Flores gestured casually, and the Ethereal Pagoda appeared before him, rapidly enlarging and releasing a golden light, instantly enveloping both Carson and Spencer Steele into the pagoda.

Richard Compton’s pupils narrowed, his instincts telling him that this pagoda was not an ordinary item.

"Form the formation, don’t let that pagoda escape!"
