CHAPTER 873: YE LI VS LU JUE - 873

Both Zhou Fan and Lord Lu had comprehended both of these Rules. Zhou Fan had the Rule of Origin as one of his foundational Rules, while Lord Lu had the Rule of Beginnings as one of his foundational Rules.

Both had similar functions and similar power.

Ye Li was shocked to find that when their Immortal Domains clashed, they were equal. This was despite Lord Lu’s lower cultivation realm.

He exerted force and disappeared, appearing in front of Lu Jue. He chopped at Lu Jue’s neck with his hand, Karma covering it.

Lu Jue pushed out, and a golden scroll appeared, temporarily pausing the attack while Lu Jue formed a sword of stars and cut at Ye Li’s underarm.

This was Lu Jue’s innate gift. It recorded the lives of beings that allowed him to record them and stored a copy of their power within.

It didn’t take form, but existed as pure power that could be used to attack or defend, and not creatively.

Ye Li pushed his hand down, smacking the sword away as three Karma Spirals shot up from the ground and aimed at the center of Lu Jue’s chest. At the same time, another Karma Spiral shot from his fingertips.

Lu Jue’s foot stomped, and the power of a star shot upwards. He did not use this to attack, but to fly up.

Ye Li suddenly felt a sense of danger and foreboding. He burst out with all of his power, thousands of Karma Spirals, some big and some small, shot up at Lu Jue. His Immortal Domain shot forth with everything he had. In addition, the Power of Karma wrapped around him and sparked a transformation.

But even then, Ye Li didn’t feel the sense of danger lessen. Lu Jue continued upwards, reaching the top of the Multiverse. Countless stars swirled around him, taking up space even larger than a Universe.

He looked down at Ye Li, finally speaking.

"You’ve sat at the peak for too long, and disdained to look down. A foolish being above all."

He looked at Ye Li with disdain.

"Stepping on the Stars."

As Lord Lu stomped his foot down, the stars around warped and shot down. They all combined into one, Universe shattering blast.

Ye Li felt unimaginable pressure descend, and everything was shattered. He was sent flying down to the bottom of the Universe spitting out blood.

He landed in an astral river, one condensed from various liquid energies of the Multiverse. He floated on the river, nearly unconscious. His body was burned and in tatters, all of his clothes gone.

Lu Jue descended down, standing above him.

Ye Li looked up.

"What was that?" He struggled to say.

"My power. True power. Something you cannot understand. That was the power of the Multiverse crashing onto you. I have to thank Zhou Fan whenever I see him. Without its expansion, this would have been much harder."

"I understand." Ye Li said.

He stood up. A gray hue took over the Universe. Lu Jue’s mind was slowed as Ye Li walked forward and tapped out. A finger hit Lu Jue’s forehead. Lu Jue’s skull shattered, and everything fell silent.

Ye Li walked away calmly. No matter how talented, an Immortal Lord facing an Immortal Emperor and winning was simply impossible. Not to mention the fact that Ye Li was no untalented person himself.

After walking a bit, he paused and turned around. An orange light flickered as Lu Jue’s body reformed.

He looked at Ye Li in surprise.

"Incredible. As expected."

Ye Li was truly shocked this time. Even if someone had an incredible regenerative ability, that attack was not as simple as it seemed. It used the Power of Karma.

"How?" Ye Li asked.

"Faith."

Ye Li’s eyes narrowed. "Faith?"

"Yes. Taught to me by Yhwh."

Lu Jue suddenly lit up like a light within infinite darkness. All across the Multiverse, beings could see him clearly. It didn’t matter what blocked the way, unless it was the power of a powerful Path Creator.

As countless eyes fell on him, his body grew larger and more powerful. As beings believed in him, he grew even stronger.

Ye Li watched on in shock.

"My power is the power of the Universe. The Universe can hold all paths. I can hold all paths."

Lu Jue punched out as thin lines connected countless stars, galaxies, and even Universes. "Star Fist."

Ye Li blocked with Karma, but was sent flying back yet again. This time, a crack ran across his arm, spilling blood.

Lu Jue appeared behind him, and as Ye Li turned, he felt as if time changed.

A finger pierced Ye Li’s shoulder, sending him flying.

At this point, Lu Jue’s body was big enough to grab even stars, and that is what he did.

He grabbed a star, crushed it, and smacked at Ye Li.

Though the power of a single star was weak, in Lu Jue’s hands, its power was enough to send even an Immortal Emperor flying back.

A wheel of Karma appeared as a piercing attack shot at Lu Jue, sending him back.

Countless threads appeared, connecting every being in the Universe together.

"You think you’re the only one that can use other existences power to increase your strength."

It was as if the power of every being in the Universe pressed down on Lu Jue. He fought back with the power and faith of the Universe, but was sent flying back. Ye Li was, after all, in the Immortal Emperor realm.

Ye Li did not let up, shooting at Lu Jue with fury. He punched out, defying time and space.

Lu Jue tried to defend, but at this point, Ye Li was on an entirely different level. All of his Rules powered every single movement he made. All 10,000 displayed their full strength with every movement, every breath.

Lu Jue tried everything, but he was repeatedly beaten back.

Cracks appeared in time in space, causing multiple Universes to begin the process of being destroyed.
