The First Cultivator - Changing Existence
Chapter 874: Divine Power - 874
CHAPTER 874: DIVINE POWER - 874
The silhouette of a hand had appeared above Ye Li, nearly invisible strings moving along with him, or perhaps moving him.
A figure that had existed above him since birth, a formless being. This was the source of Ye Li’s Karma, and in a way, Ye Li.
It had always represented the true essence of Karma. Controlling, omni-present, all powerful. Karma was something that could alter the fundamental rules of reality. Not just the Rules as Zhou Fan had comprehended them, but the fundamental existence of everything, which had been the inspiration Zhou Fan had relied on to create the Rules.
Ye Li was no longer simply Ye Li, but the being above him, which had existed eternally.
In this state, Lu Jue had nothing that could defeat Ye Li.
Stepping on the Stars was already his strongest technique, but it took time to set up. Not a short amount of time. Nothing he could do while being relentlessly beaten back. He used the powers of hundreds of Paths.
Nothing could do it. Nothing could resist the overwhelming power that Ye Li was currently using.
Lu Jue sighed, though he spat out blood as a result.
He had not yet wanted to do this, but it was time to reveal his true trump card, one that he had only used a few times, and all that had seen it were no longer alive.
His true path was the Path of the Universe, but the power of the Universe was not technically his greatest power. It was the most useful, and the only reason he could comprehend his trump card. Only the Universe itself could hold this path.
"Divine Power." Lu Jue mumbled.
A red color exploded out of him.
It was pure, and explosive. Blood, rage, hatred, slaughter.
The color red represented all such things.
A red line appeared below the eye of Lu Jue, a few inches long.
His mind fuzzed, becoming more primal.
Despite this, he was still sent back, though he moved a shorter distance away.
Another color exploded out of him, blue. A blue line shot off to the side of Lu Jue’s eye, sparkling.
As the blue shot out, sadness, despair, sickness, and all such feelings exploded out of him.
Following it was another primal feeling.
More colors burst out of him. Some represented emotions, some actions, but all exploded with a feeling of primal insanity. With every color, Lu Jue’s mind fuzzed more and more.
As all 12 colors appeared, Red, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple, Pink, Brown, White, Black, Clear, and Grey, Lu Jue lost all sense of sanity.
This was divine power, the most primal power in the Universe. 12 lines were on Lu Jue’s face, and 12 colors forcefully shot out around him.
The only thing remaining within Lu Jue was the intense desire to kill.
For the first time since he started being forced back, Lu Jue shot at Ye Li. They met, Ye Li halfway conscious and controlled, Lu Jue filled with nothing but a sea of killing intent.
The clash shook the entire Multiverse, causing countless deaths and destroying countless items.
But neither of them cared at the moment.
Lu Jue swiped at Ye Li with his hands as if they were claws. Ye Li shot a thread of Karma out, condensed and overwhelmingly powerful.
Lu Jue’s arm was cut off, but he didn’t react.
Divine power, the combination of all twelve colors, punched at Ye Li despite Lu Jue’s lack of an arm.
Ye Li was sent back. Like Lu Jue, he did not react. He shot back and attacked. They exchanged hundreds of attacks, in hundreds of different forms.
Each clash sent cracks across the Multiverse.
On the 388th clash, a crack appeared that, like many before, traveled to the Main Universe. Each crack was bigger than a galaxy. But within the infinitely large Multiverse, this was nothing.
Yet one crack just so happened to travel towards a black sphere hovering in the void.
Within, Zhou Fan’s eyes were jolted open.
The seal was struggling to hold.
That crack had been caused by two beings with the power of Immortal Emperors. The seal, which had been made by far weaker beings, could not possibly hold on.
Even if the crack wasn’t nearly as powerful as the clash itself.
As light appeared, Zhou Fan stood up. He wasn’t exactly at the peak of the Immortal Emperor realm, but he was so close it didn’t matter. It wouldn’t be long until he did.
So Zhou Fan stepped out and took a look around. He had already made a mental image of how the Multiverse was structured, but hadn’t pictured anything within it.
He wanted to take it all in, but his attention was drawn by the clash going on.
It was powerful, even by his standards.
Seeing Ye Li, numerous connections clicked in his mind.
Everything made sense. Ye Li wasn’t a fool, so why would he believe that Zhou Fan could be sealed by beings so weak?
The answer was that Ye Li didn’t think it was possible. In fact, he knew it was impossible.
But that didn’t matter. He knew that the Buddha would seek Zhou Fan out, and perhaps even influenced him to do so.
Zhou Fan looked for the Buddha, and saw that a string was connected to him. Zhou Fan severed it, and clarity returned to the Buddha’s eyes.
He looked at Zhou Fan, and saw the shockwaves from the battle. He was completely unable to sense who was fighting, or even sense anything close to the fight.
Zhou Fan instantly explained everything. It took no more than a moment.
The Buddha understood. "The man fighting Ye Li. Is he Lord Lu?"
Zhou Fan nodded. "How did you know?"
The Buddha smiled with intense joy. "I knew everything. I knew about Ye Li’s influence, and his goals. I did it all because of him. Because only like this would Lord Lu be born. He is the chosen one, the one who will end the suffering of humanity, something even I couldn’t do. He is the only one who could do it."
