The First Cultivator - Changing Existence

CHAPTER 888: INVASION - 888
The first monster took the talisman and nodded. "Don’t worry. I’ll be able to clean up this mess without breaking a single rule."
The first monster began to walk away.
"Hey." The human ruler said.
The first monster turned to look at him as he spoke. "I’m watching you, so don’t do anything stupid."
The first monster held his hands up jokingly and nodded. The human ruler still felt as if something was off about the first monster, but that in and of itself was not a crime.
The first monster was able to gather information easily, and sent a few of the people he arrested to the courts to have their fate decided on.
Others he made disappear by devouring them. Nobody noticed his occasional devourings, and the human ruler was happy to see the results of his appointment as Enforcer.
Within just a few years, the courts were far different than before.
The first monster was appointed as a permanent Enforcer, and his reach extended to the entire human realm. He could essentially charge anyone with any crime, even if he didn’t have any evidence.
There were still methods to test their guilt, and the first monster was always right about these things.
A few hundred thousand years passed as the first monster settled down into his role, becoming an integral part of human society.
Yet the effects of the betrayal of the first human were still taking effect.
The first beast finally declared humanity an enemy that they would take care of at any cost.
And the first human appeared as well. Now, he led a group of 9 beings. All of them were extremely powerful and talented. With the first human’s teachings the nine of them were able to become a serious threat to humanity.
The sole purpose of this group seemed to be to defeat humanity. They were known as the nine demons. When the human ruler heard of this, he called a realm wide meeting.
Thousands of powerful beings gathered in the capital, and after a few days of talking, the human realm was shrunk to a tenth of its size. Almost all of the empty space between towns and cities were removed, bringing everything within reach of the strongest powerhouses at any single instant.
When the first wave of beasts arrived, the humans were ready. They had never been a weak force, and the human ruler could directly fight the first beast head on.
It was when the first human and the other 8 demons arrived that things got tricky.
But still, the human ruler was able to hold on, and the rest of the forces were fought off by humans. The battle lasted five days before the beasts and the nine demons left. They had received many injuries and many deaths had occurred, but compared to the humans, it was light.
Nearly half of the shrunken human realm had been destroyed, and the human ruler was severely injured.
The humans were upset and fearful.
The first monster was also upset. A lot of his prey had just been killed. He would need to speed up his eating, while also preventing any more attack from happening.
Over the next million years, humanity rebuilt and grew once more. Many powerful beings healed from their injuries. Even the first monster had advanced. He was now at the peak of the Loose Immortal realm. While the first human and the first beast were at the Earth Immortal realm, the first monster didn’t fear them all that much.
After accepting what he was, a monster, his strength had vastly changed.
Finally, the beasts and the nine demons attacked once again.
This time, they planned to wipe everything out.
The human ruler tried to fight against the first beast and the first human, but their combined strength was too much for him this time.
Just when he thought he would be killed, the two stopped.
They looked down towards the human capital. Beneath it, they could sense a familiar aura. The first beast and the first human looked at each other.
"You fight him." The first beast said, looking at the human ruler. "I’ll go talk."
The first human nodded as the first beast left, arriving in a hidden room beneath the capital. It was very well hidden, to the point that they would not have noticed it if the first monster hadn’t revealed himself.
The dark room was like a cave, with only a throne placed at one of its edges.
On that throne sat the first monster in the form of Nie Shanzi.
"So you’ve changed your appearance."
"Of course. How else could I fit in?"
The first beast looked at him with a nostalgic gaze. "So what are you doing here?"
"This is my farming ground. I should ask what you’re doing here." The first monster said.
The first beast was surprised. "A farming ground? I see. I have just one question. Are you going to interfere today?"
"That depends on whether or not you leave now." The first monster said.
The first beast hesitated before speaking. "Don’t make yourself an enemy of the Universe. Even you won’t be able to survive. Today, we will leave, but don’t expect us to stay away forever. When we are confident enough to deal with you, we will attack again. Don’t expect mercy when the time comes."
The first beast left.
The first monster did not take him seriously. If he wasn’t so cautious, he would have already waged a war to take over the Universe. He was that confident in his strength, and it only grew faster and faster as he devoured more and more beings.
When the first beast arrived atop the human capital, he gave the order to retreat. The first human looked hesitant, but left with him. They would have to talk about what happened later.
The human ruler was confused, but could only consider it a blessing from the heavens.
He assured himself that he would grow stronger, and the next time they met, he would not be so helpless.
