The First Demon of the Chan Sect
Chapter 559 - 102: Crazy Slaughter
CHAPTER 559: CHAPTER 102: CRAZY SLAUGHTER
"Hmph, the beast sure runs fast!"
The long-bearded old monk’s expression changed slightly as he put away his contemptuous face.
"Old bald donkey, could you die if you weren’t so stubborn? Clearly, you sensed the wrong direction and you’re insisting it was because your Grandpa Xiong ran fast!" Xiong Da sneered disdainfully, fluttering his tiny wings as his massive body vanished once again.
"The same trick won’t work twice, it’s old!" The long-bearded monk’s eyes flickered, as he had not recalled his Primordial Spirit. He thought, if I can’t catch you by following behind, then I’ll block you before you attack.
"This time I definitely won’t be wrong, it’s here!"
Suddenly, the long-bearded monk shouted in surprise, his figure bursting upwards, and at the same time, the Demon-Subduing Pestle radiated Infinite Light as he ruthlessly struck downward.
"Roar!"
A rage-filled roar that shook heaven and earth echoed through the sky, and a murky gray bear paw appeared out of nowhere, covering the entire Cangqiong. A surge of endless murderous aura flooded out, drowning the region and causing many plants to wither on the spot, turning to ash.
"Pfft!"
The bear paw directly stomped on the golden Demon-Subduing Pestle. The pestle barely held on before it shattered with a bang, followed by a terrifying pressure that descended overwhelmingly.
The poor long-bearded old monk didn’t even have the chance to scream before he and his relic golden core were crushed under Xiong Da’s palm, turning into a mist of blood, completely obliterated.
"You guessed the direction right, but you underestimated your Grandpa Xiong’s strength!" Xiong Da swaggered out of the Void, still wearing that simple yet deadly expression on his face.
"Elder Long-beard!"
A short-bearded old monk watched in horror as the long-bearded old monk died before his eyes and wailed. He gripped the shattered Demon-Subduing Pestle tightly, his face filled with sorrow.
"Tsk tsk! Old bald donkey, death is like a lamp being extinguished, don’t grieve too much. Amitabha Buddha!"
Xiong Da mockingly stood upright and carefully saluted the short-bearded old monk before scampering back to Li Qingming’s side.
Li Qingming looked menacingly at the remaining thousands of Vajras, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, and said, "Those of you willing to surrender, I can spare your lives. If you choose to resist stubbornly, then this old bald donkey will be your example!"
"Beast, I’ll fight you to the end!" The short-bearded monk’s eyes were bloodshot, his mind overwhelmed by hatred. He held the broken Demon-Subduing Pestle of Elder Long-beard and charged forward.
"Poof!"
Blood splattered everywhere. With one palm, Xiong Da annihilated this astonishing Sub-Saint Great Power, ending his life.
"No, no! Escape, quickly flee to the Venerable Temple and the Buddha Master Transformation Hall. The Great Elder and the Buddha Master will never let them go!"
Finally, someone collapsed, screaming as they desperately channeled their Buddha Power and rushed towards the distance.
"Running away? Can you escape?" Li Qingming sneered coldly, waving his hand and commanding, "Go, kill at will!"
"Ah..."
And so, an even more brutal massacre began.
In the Endless Buddha Realm, the disciples of the Buddhist Sect enjoyed the highest privileges.
They stood above all others, constantly speaking of the Buddhist Sect’s mission of compassion for the world, yet behind closed doors, for their own Faith Power and Spiritual Treasures, refining materials, they ruthlessly exploited the common folk.
Furthermore, with the deep-seated hatred between the Great Thousand World and the Central Heaven World, by killing these monks, Li Qingming would not feel the slightest mercy, nor would he have any psychological burden.
"Ah!"
"I don’t want to die!"
A group of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Vajras, all in frenzy, let out a chorus of wails as they fled. How could monks at the Daluo Golden Immortal Realm possibly withstand the slaughtering steps of over a hundred Quasi-Saints?
Over a hundred Quasi-Saints, slashing through thousands of Buddha’s sons as though in an uninhabited land, painted the Western Extreme Land with rivers of blood and scattered bones everywhere!
As time went by, the moon reached the zenith, and all disciples of the Buddhist Sect in the Western Extreme Land were decapitated.
When everything finally fell silent, all that remained was the stench of blood.
"Change of plans, we’ll split into five groups to eradicate the Buddhist Sect’s secret locations separately, aiming for a quick and decisive battle. Let’s not keep them waiting in anxiety!" Li Qingming gazed at the Western Extreme Land, which looked like a slaughterhouse, and let out a chilling laugh. He led twenty Quasi-Saints alone, flying towards the East Pole of the Endless Buddha Realm.
Li Qingquan took twenty Quasi-Saints and flew towards the South Pole; Long Xuhu led twenty Quasi-Saints to the North Pole; Yin Xi led twenty Quasi-Saints towards the Four Seas within the Endless Buddha Realm.
"The remaining benefactors, please follow this humble monk!" Shakyamuni called out to the remaining Quasi-Saints, heading straight for the Buddha Master Transformation Hall.
East Pole, South Pole, North Pole, Four Seas—the four secret locations of the Buddhist Sect nearly simultaneously erupted with Divine Light, and different Locking Void Arrays were cast down, enveloping each of these areas.
Screams of roars, pleas for mercy, and the already lifeless bodies intertwined together, composing a requiem.
Just as the Buddhist Sect once plundered other Central Heaven Worlds for more resources and faith, the disaster now befell upon the head of the Endless Buddha Realm. This could only be described as an irony.
"Kill!"
The entire Ten Thousand Buddha Ancient Star erupted with earth-shaking cries of battle, as the planet seemed to come to life all at once. War raged, and blood drenched the ground.
...
At the center of the Holy Buddha Star, within the Buddha Master Transformation Hall.
A Buddha Master clad in saffron monk robes sat on a cushion, frowning as he addressed a red-robed monk below, "Po Suo, what do you think?"
The monk below, draped in a loose red monk’s robe that looked oddly like the robes of Lamas on Earth, stood eight feet tall with a handsome face; between his brows was a tiny, ruby-like crimson mark.
After a long moment of contemplation, Po Suo said, "Amitabha Buddha! If it were an invasion from other Central Heaven Worlds, there could be a slim chance for maneuvering. But if these are individuals from Pangu’s Great Thousand World? I’m more inclined toward the latter."
"However, from what I’ve learned, their numbers aren’t many—at most six or seven!" The Buddha Master expressed his astonishment.
"Alas, we must prepare for the worst," sighed Po Suo, the vermillion mark on his brow shining brighter.
"You mean..." The Buddha Master’s eyes widened in shock.
"If it’s really those individuals from the Great Thousand World, our Endless Buddha Realm will face an existential catastrophe. Rather than letting the foundation built by our Master be destroyed in our hands, it would be better to take a gamble, to draw upon the power behind the Demon Night and eradicate them completely!" Po Suo’s voice was filled with immense hatred, conveying an extreme unwillingness.
...
The bright moon hung high, leaving the Holy Buddha Star desolate. All secret hiding places of the Buddhist Sect had been thoroughly eradicated by Li Qingming and his comrades.
Now, they were all hastening towards the centric Buddha Master Transformation Hall, with each one’s morale soaring sky-high.
The quiet Buddha Master Transformation Hall was adjacent to the Venerable Temple, with Shakyamuni and the twenty Quasi-Saints concealed within the Cangqiong.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Suddenly, the Void trembled, as hundreds of tunneling lights, from all directions, shot towards the Buddha Master Transformation Hall.
Watching those dazzling tunneling lights, Shakyamuni’s mouth curled up with a cold smile: "Here they come!" (To be continued.
