The Fortunate Demoniac Little Village Doctor
Chapter 1245 - 848: Crisis
CHAPTER 1245: CHAPTER 848: CRISIS
Zhang Han was naturally aware of Liu Hun’s identity. After all, as a journalist herself, though not an entertainment reporter, she had heard many stories in the industry, which was quite normal.
From Zhang Han’s understanding, Liu Hun was merely a wealthy first-generation rich, but now it seems things are not so simple. First, Liu Hun and his group managed to survive the poison gas bomb, and now, after killing one of the opponents, their expressions showed no change whatsoever.
From this point, it was evident that Liu Hun and his group had killed before, and possibly many people, otherwise, their expressions wouldn’t be so relaxed after killing someone, and they could even casually chat.
"Who we are, you don’t need to worry too much about now. I’m curious why they would capture you? Since your father is the director of the Security Bureau, this should be related to him." Liu Hun said softly, looking at Zhang Han in front of him, while walking slowly towards the young man Wang Xiaofei had just taken down.
When Liu Hun got in front of the man, he directly tore open the outermost clothing. While the others were still puzzled about why Liu Hun did this, the next moment, everyone clearly saw that underneath the young man’s clothing was a military uniform.
"Military personnel?" Seeing the military uniform, the group froze for a moment. After a while, Liu Hu slowly spoke, his expression becoming serious.
"Liu Hu, from your look, you seem to know something. Why don’t you share?" Liu Hun glanced at Liu Hu’s expression and asked calmly.
"I don’t know much about this matter, but it should help your upcoming journey. I planned to tell you about it later, but since we encountered it now, I’ll tell you in advance." Liu Hu smiled wryly, paused for a moment, and then continued speaking seriously to Liu Hun.
"The director of the Security Bureau is Zhang Han’s father, Zhang Zhiwen. As for the previous storm, I don’t know why, but it seemed ineffective on the Zhang Family. After Zhang Zhiwen learned of it, he neither agreed nor disagreed, staying neutral. They probably captured Zhang Han due to Zhang Zhiwen; their family is pretty much a fuse; who knows what might happen in the future."
Liu Hun understood Liu Hu’s meaning clearly, and he found the matter odd as he was quite clear about it. Hence he was curious why the Zhang Family seemed unaffected by puppet control.
"But due to that matter, Zhang Zhiwen was severely injured physically. After being in that position for so many years, if Zhang Zhiwen couldn’t be managed, then the Security Bureau couldn’t be either. Changing people wouldn’t make a difference, so they didn’t rush to trouble Zhang Zhiwen; a cornered dog will jump over a wall." Liu Hu continued explaining to Liu Hun.
After hearing Liu Hu’s words, Liu Hun’s brow furrowed deeply.
"You know the reason behind my father’s injury? Was he framed?" Zhang Han felt utterly puzzled by Liu Hu’s statement, not understanding it clearly.
However, as Zhang Zhiwen’s daughter, having grown up in such a circle, she was somewhat aware of these matters.
"I personally suggest you know less about it. Of course, if you really want to know, you can ask your father." Liu Hu glanced at Zhang Han and stated calmly.
After pondering for a moment, Liu Hun then asked Liu Hu: "From your perspective, is there hope in this matter?"
"Previously, there might have been no hope, but now, since we’ve encountered Zhang Zhiwen’s daughter, if we can rescue her, perhaps Zhang Zhiwen will join us." Liu Hu knew Liu Hun’s intentions from the start, so he wasn’t surprised.
"It seems our luck heading to Beijing was good, encountering such a situation." Liu Hun smiled slightly and said to Liu Hu.
"Liu Hun, it’s not as simple as you think. If Zhang Zhiwen was easily swayed, he wouldn’t have stayed neutral for so long. No one wants to die in a war without smoke. If it weren’t for utmost necessity, I wouldn’t have sought you either!" Liu Hu shook his head, seriously responding to Liu Hun.
"If we knew all outcomes from the start, what meaning would the world have? I believe in human effort, and with such matters, Zhang Zhiwen wouldn’t want it to continue as is. He needs us, and we need him; it’s a good choice." Liu Hun commented casually with a smile.
In his view, if Zhang Zhiwen intended to join, he wouldn’t have waited this long. Zhang Han’s matter was merely a trigger.
"Miss Zhang, we’ll need your cooperation next." Liu Hun turned calmly to Zhang Han.
Upon hearing this, Zhang Han’s innocent features flushed with anger, clenching her teeth and loudly confronting Liu Hun: "I don’t care about your motives or identity. Could you consider the lives of ordinary people a bit? This incident caused so many deaths; don’t you feel any guilt?"
"Miss Zhang, as a journalist, you must have seen a lot. What I do largely protects others, not just ends lives. I couldn’t help the deaths just now; what more could we do? I remind you, if you don’t help us, more innocents will die in this smoke-free conflict. I’m not a good person, but I’ve done many good deeds, which you should know well." Liu Hun looked at Zhang Han’s angry expression; he didn’t blame her.
Anyone undergoing such an ordeal would inevitably have emotional turmoil; it’s quite normal.
"Liu Hu, keep an eye on him next. Xiaofei, go handle the control room. Make sure it’s cleanly resolved. Old Ghost, you’ll join me to take out the soldiers outside. Do we all understand our tasks?" With that, Liu Hun ignored Zhang Han, considering her irrelevant without her father; he wouldn’t have saved her otherwise.
"Yes, boss!" Old Ghost and Wang Xiaofei nodded and proceeded with their tasks.
At the cabin door, Liu Hun and Old Ghost looked through the glass at the dozen soldiers outside. Liu Hun took a deep breath, frowning slightly.
They all carried guns. If they accidentally shot the plane, it could mean trouble. Liu Hun and Old Ghost needed to be prepared to take them down instantly.
"With my cover, what’s your success rate?" Liu Hun asked Old Ghost beside him, eyeing the dozen soldiers.
"If you could instantly take out half, I might succeed!" Old Ghost knew the difficulty and, without a smile, seriously responded to Liu Hun.
Upon Old Ghost’s words, Liu Hun nodded, turned, and retrieved two handguns from the deceased soldier, then returned to Old Ghost’s side.
"1, 2, 3..." As Liu Hun counted to three, Old Ghost opened the door, and while the soldiers checked the other bodies, Liu Hun fired frantically at them.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Bullet after bullet flew towards the opponents, and as Liu Hun fired, Old Ghost charged forward.
Liu Hun’s marksmanship was renowned, so firing was foolproof.
When Old Ghost reached one soldier, he swung an arm, punching the opponent’s chest violently. Instantly, the chest caved violently, sending him flying backwards into several comrades.
With two handguns carrying a combined twelve bullets, once Liu Hun’s shots were depleted, Old Ghost stopped, wielding unknown sourced pistols at two soldiers quietly groaning in the cabin.
