Chapter 60: The Oriole Behind
CHAPTER 60: CHAPTER 60: THE ORIOLE BEHIND
When Kana and Lurik were watching Rita Enke assigning tasks from the watchtower during the day, they had already thought of a plan.
Getai and Eric, holding the Sage’s token, went separately to gather the Dwarf Warriors who were specifically sent away by Rita Enke.
Have them ambush behind the mountain in the distance, ready to charge if the enemy comes, or wait for the signal if they don’t.
As a large number of Goblins gathered outside the walls, the Dwarves rode War Sheep charging down from the slopes on both sides.
In an instant, many Goblins were knocked flying and scattered by the Dwarves.
Screams echoed.
"For Gray Mountain!"
The battle cries of the Dwarves resounded outside.
Listening to the endless war cries, Rita Enke, trapped by lightning, looked extremely unpleasant.
Meanwhile, inside the walls, those Dwarves cursed with plague began to feel the urge to vomit again.
Already weakened by the plague curse, even the dwarven plague followers are struggling.
Atop the tower, Lurik, who was controlling the lightning, watched this scene and decisively let go of Rita Enke.
A massive burst of lightning rained down again, paralyzing all the remaining Goblins inside the walls.
"Rita Enke, you traitor of the mountains!" Lurik shouted angrily from the tower.
After being released, Rita Enke didn’t directly attack others but looked towards the tower top.
Gripping his sword, he powerfully stomped on the stone beneath his feet and leaped towards the tower.
"Lurik! You cowards who only dare to linger under doomsday!"
Taking advantage as the two strong fighters clashed.
Kana began to swing his weapon swiftly, harvesting the Goblins swiftly.

Watching the experience gain rapidly, Kana’s face broke into a wide smile like a farmer harvesting crops.
The nearby Dwarves watched Kana’s cheerful smile as he continued to slay Goblins relentlessly, shivering and quietly distancing themselves from Kana.
With the backup of the Dwarf Warriors, even a tide of Goblins couldn’t hold their ground.
These Goblins were just too weak, only capable of showing some advantage through small raids, ambushes, and traps.
In such frontal combat, regardless of their numbers or even wielding the Rotting Monarch’s power, they were still no match for these dozens of Dwarves.
The Goblins were disorganized and could only cluster together, randomly swinging their weapons.
The Dwarves’ War Sheep alone could brutally crush many Goblins to death.
Not to mention, the Dwarves were clad in full armor and wielded extraordinary weapons.
The Goblins’ attacks could only leave a few scratches on the Dwarves’ armor at most.
An absolute, crushing conflict without suspense.
When Kana paused, the air was filled solely with stench and a mass of Goblin corpses.
Outside, some Goblins were still fighting the Dwarves, perhaps the only commendable trait. Their faith in the Rotting Monarch negated their fear-induced retreat.
"Boom!"
Several bolts of lightning struck the tower top again during nightfall.
A silhouette was struck down, crashing below.
Through the dark smog, everyone saw.
The fallen figure was none other than Rita Enke.
A silhouette shrouded in electric light also leaped straight down, crashing fiercely.
Lurik wielding his long-handled warhammer wrapped in lightning, his eyes sparking with electric light, gazed at Rita Enke.
"Is this the power you sought by betraying the mountains?"
Upon these words, surrounded in the center, Rita Enke laughed angrily.
Kana too noticed that though the dwarf had faith in the Rotting Monarch, he didn’t truly want to fully embrace the rotten form.
He merely used some plague magic without intending to entirely change his body’s appearance.
Thus, besides mastering some plague spells, he hadn’t gained much enhancement.
"Then witness, my master’s power!"
He roared, standing up, breaking free and shedding the crooked armor on the ground.
Several tentacles emerged directly from his torso, chest, belly, back.
Five tentacles in total swung nonstop, each larger than his own physique.
The tentacles oozed with nauseating green pus, with mouths full of sharp teeth.
The revolting appearance made the surrounding Dwarves retreat several steps in disgust.
Such desecration.
"I don’t want to turn into such a monster," a plague-cursed individual said nauseated.
"If I were like this, Nalia would kick me off the cliff."
"How would anyone drink with him? He’s foul, who’d be willing to drink with him?"
The nearby Dwarves began to grumble.
Rita Enke glanced sideways at them, standing crookedly, raised his left hand abruptly and grasped.
"Ugh!"
"Oh heavens, ugh..."
The plague-cursed Dwarves instantly collapsed, vomiting nonstop, pustules burgeoning across their faces.
Suddenly they became overwhelmingly weak.
The plague within them erupted.
"Get them out, quickly!"
Under Lurik’s command, those able stood to drag the plague-cursed outside, pulling them through the gates.
The Dwarves clearing Goblins outside rushed in surrounding, aiming their weapons at the indistinguishable Rita Enke in the center.
"Come, Lurik! Judge me, let me show you my master’s power."
Lurik waved his hand to disperse the stench, took a deep breath, and raised his long-handled warhammer, stepping forward.
Lightning amassed upon him, illuminating the night from his form.
All Dwarves refrained from intervening, stepping backward collectively, encircling the scene.
"In moments like these, aren’t they still dueling?" George questioned beside, holding his bow.
He couldn’t fathom it; when facing such a monster, shouldn’t they converge to kill it right there?
Bobo, suppressing the stench, watched intently, intending to document the scene in her travelogue.
Casually said, "That’s how Dwarves are, particularly internally. Such fights carry certain honor, though in essence, for those already aligned with Evil Gods, honor is meaningless."
Unnoticed, Getai arrived and interjected upon hearing their soft words, "We Dwarves aren’t this rigid; it’s just the relationship between those two... Hmm, Yata is that traitor’s mentor."
Upon hearing this, everyone instantly understood.
Turns out it’s about clearing out one’s own kin.
