—“Unlike that valiant swordsmanship, mine is dazzling and elegant!”

—“My swordsmanship is designed to mesmerize and confuse enemies!”

—“My… my swordsmanship is endlessly adaptable!”

Suddenly, they all began speaking in polite tones, begging Seong to absorb their memories. Their desperation was evident.

It was easy to understand why. They all longed for their long-lost swordsmanship to be brought back into the world. For them, it was a lingering regret, a sort of unfulfilled wish.

If possible, Seong wanted to absorb all their memories at once.

But…

“It’s not that simple,” he thought.

He could feel his limits, as he had before. Absorbing memories wasn’t without its constraints. If too many memories flooded in at once, it became overwhelming.

He had experienced this when he absorbed the memories of an entire mercenary group.

Now, having already absorbed Leonic’s memories and those of the burly elven ghost, he could tell he only had one attempt left for the day.

“Roughly one more,” he estimated.

Tomorrow, he might be able to absorb up to five memories again, but for today, this would have to be the last.

Since he would be spending considerable time in this place and intended to absorb all the memories eventually, the order didn’t particularly matter.

Still, there were certain types of swordsmanship he was more interested in acquiring first.

“So far, I’ve gained valiant swordsmanship, domineering swordsmanship, and elegant swordsmanship.”
