CHAPTER 198: IT’S MO YUAN

Just as Bai Yunxian was turning impatient and frowned, a smile formed in Yun Shu’s face.

’Looks like he encountered something problematic? Should I step in?’

Yun Shu was trolling for time to see if Bai Yunxian could make it by himself, but before he could, a coy male voice interrupted them, as a pair of hands wrapped around his neck from behind.

"This brother here, this person is my companion. If he doesn’t like it, then don’t force him to join you lots~"

Mo Ling Yuan gave a hearty smile as he winked at Bai Yunxian, whose face seemed to be surprised to see him. At once, Bai Yunxian’s expression turned sour as he wrinkled his eyebrows, frowning in disgust as he threw Mo Ling Yuan’s hands away from him, pacing to a safe distance.

"What are you doing here?" Bai Yunxian asked as he guarded from that cunning bastard, who was pretending to be wronged by the cold shoulder being given.

"What do you mean why? I also came to participate of course. I can’t leave my ’friends’ apprentice to fend for themselves, can I?" Mo Ling Yuan pretended to be hurt while he was actually liking this situation of acting.

He was pretty sure that Bai Yunxian was troubled, and he wouldn’t be able to get away from this predicament all by himself. It doesn’t matter if his image to Bai Yunxian improved or not, as long as he could intervene in things like this that troubled him, he believed that Bai Yunxian would eventually submit to him.

"I don’t need your help, Chance—" Bai Yunxian wanted to deny this guy, but he got interrupted by a big palm obstructing his mouth from speaking as he immediately distanced himself from Mo Ling Yuan.

Just a reminder for Bai Yunxian to not reveal his identity, of course Bai Yunxian understood. But even so, the thought of skin contact with those men still disgusted him as Bai Yunxian wiped his mouth vehemently.

Mo Ling Yuan was ticked off as he felt offended by the way Bai Yunxian refused his contact, but still forced a smile on his face as he retracted his hand awkwardly.

Yun Shu also saw the advance Mo Ling Yuan made towards Bai Yunxian, her hands were clenched into fists until her fingernails dug into her flesh. And this made her blood boil in rage and her body tremble in anger.

But Bai Yunxian didn’t take it as something like a threat as he walked along with the guy, when Mo Ling Yuan, grit his teeth and swallowed up his pride as he followed along.

"Are they leaving? But I can’t join them, what if I got exposed unintentionally?" Yun Shu felt sad about being left behind by Bai Yunxian, but she couldn’t follow them however she wanted. It was a situation where she can’t give out herself, and at the same time, she can’t bear to get separated from him again either.

However, when Yun Shu looked up to see their disappearing back once more, something sparked coming uninvited when Bai Yunxian turned around his head and locked eyes with her.

Yun Shu froze in her spot, unable to look away. Her heart skipped as she stared back, in that moment, nothing else around them seemed to exist in that moment.

Just as she was about to get entirely swooned into his gaze, Bai Yunxian retracted his eyes away from her as she came back to her senses.

She was stunned as she stared at his disappearing back in awe, as a random thought crossed her mind.

’Oh man. I’m fucked.’

Before leaving, Bai Yunxian didn’t know why his eyes were drawn to that random spot, towards that woman he didn’t even know. Just one thought that crossed his mind was...

’That red piece of clothing was charming. It would suit Yun Shu more if he wore it...’

A smile formed in his lips the more Bai Yunxian thought, and soon they were close to the gathering place. A total of five more people were gathered together already, including three women and two men, now they were eight, and in need of two more people.

"So, brother Li, where will you get two more members? Or should we leave with just us altogether?" Bai Yunxian tried to be casual as he called out the guy, while avoiding the others who were trying to strike up a conversation with him.

Especially the women who were being too noisy as they were checking him up from top to bottom like female perverts, their dressing sense and rude behavior made him frown and avoid them strongly.

"Oh, yes! Yes! I’ll gather two more of them right away! Give me a few more minutes!" The man wiped his sweat from his forehead as he was about to run off, the guy slipped on the peel of a banana that was thrown on his way.
