The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers
Chapter 204: We Agree
CHAPTER 204: WE AGREE
"We’ve been formally invited to have a meeting with the MoonChild, as she wishes to propose an alliance.
Ash slammed his hands on the table and stood up so suddenly the chair he was sitting in fell backwards, "You mean Odette? I get my daughter back?"
"Not, quite. We are meeting with the MoonChild, she will not be returning with us. But you will get to see and speak to her."
Ash’s heart was racing, even if she wasn’t returning, at this point, with all he’s lost, even the littlest of gain was something he would jump at.
"Why can’t she return with us? She’s our princess." Oliver pouted. He so missed his spicy niece.
"Because she is meant to stay with her protector, and I’m sure she has her own reasons and stories to share with you." Leviathan smiled the whole time he spoke. But it wasn’t the endearing kind, but the knowing kind.
He was a little excited to see how the whole ’fated mate’ thing will go over with the family.
"We agree." Vlad spoke surprising everyone. "Whatever the terms, whatever she needs. Unconditional."
"That’s not your decision to make." Ash growled. Though he agreed with what his father said, he wasn’t one to just overlook the fact he made a decision that carried so much weight and power. He wasn’t king anymore.
Vlad shot his son a threatening girl. Ash returned it. Their pride pitting them against eachother.
"Would you too knock it out?" Lilith walked through the door like she’d been here the whole time. Like she didn’t leave for days and just disappear.
"Mother."
"Grandmother." The room echoed. Leviathan stood frozen in place. She was just as beautiful, if not more beautiful the last time he saw her.
Her long pink hair shined brightly in the well lit room. Her pink eyes as vibrant as ever. Her body still curved and swayed like trees in the wind.
She was still every bit the woman that left, just like he knew she would be. He knew she would come back fine once her memories were sorted out.
"You’re still wearing his face." She growled.
"I’m wearing one similar, it’s my own face." He reaffirmed. He won’t deny their similarities, and that he wore it for Lilith specifically. But he liked this face in the mirror, his almond eyes were a nice added change, giving him a more eastern look, less European. Leviathan’s hair was also very straight and very long, different from Ezelreth. We share the same eyebrows and face shape. Same lips and chin, everything else was different, similar, but different.
"Well, I don’t hate it. You can keep it." She smirked. In reality, she did like his face, that much was true, but the real reason is because she knew it would bother Ezelreth, and she knew when the battle came again, this would help, the distraction would be Leviathan instead of her this time.
While Lilith was away reorganizing her memories and coming to terms with this new truth and reality, shew was also thinking of strategizes to help beat Ezelreth again. She wasn’t going to lose this time, just like she didn’t lose last time.
"I didn’t expect that." Leviathan looked shocked.
"I have a theory I think will play out nicely." Her grin was wicked and the look in her eyes a tell to her sinister thoughts.
"A meeting has been requested by the MoonChild, one that suggests an alliance." Leviathan informed her.
"Well, the answer is yes, when do we get to see her?"
"Why does everyone keep making my decisions for me." Ash growled, releasing a threatening aura. "I am King, and as such it is decision. Not yours, grandmother. And not yours, father. Nor anyone else’s. It’s my decision."
Ash let his authority fill the room. He was much stronger now, training every day, putting in his all with each session. He was much stronger than before, much faster. His abilities and reflexes where sharper. And when he let his aura out, the whole room could feel it’s change.
"Then what would you have us do, my king." Vlad sneered through gritted teeth. He found annoying and amusing.
"We accept her invitation, and we will discuss terms." Ash carried himself like a powerful king in that moment. More so than usual. "We will meet by the next full moon."
Leviathan’s grinned widened.
’A full moon.’ He thought. How quaint.
"We will have terms?" Lilith frowned.
"Yes, this is an alliance, for the foundation to be strong an exchange of terms will need to be the building blocks." Ash explained.
"Very smart of you. What are your terms?" Lilith was curious to what was going on in his mind, she was proud of how Ash had handled that. He was right.
"I don’t know them yet, but I have time to think." Ash responded.
"When will we receive the letter of corresponds? Did your source say?" Jeremy, the ever serious and to the point.
"My source, that’s a funny way to refer to a fox spirit." Leviathan shook his head and laughed.
"I don’t know, I only said I would make it happen. I thought it would be harder to convince you vampires to visit a den of wolves and other shifters." Leviathan confessed his doubts.
"That’s my daughter. My princess. I’ll make anything happen for her without question." Ash answered.
"Makes sense."
"This is exciting." Oliver clapped his hands being more sarcastic than serious.
Rosa wished her friend was here. Wished Violet had only waited. But Rosa understood this was fate. Violet was meant to do this. So was Odette.
"So has anyone heard from Arya?" Rosa asked.
"Oh, yes, she’s working with the coven and has isolated herself with trying to manipulate a stone’s properties. She’s been unavailable for weeks." Lilith answered. "During my time away, I tracked her down. You should have seen how the coven shit themselves when they saw a dragon my in." She laughed hard.
"What stone?" Jeremy asked.
"The stone that will trap Ezelreth. Hopefully for good this time." Lilith answered.
