The Grand Duke's Son Is A Heretic
Chapter 414
CHAPTER 414: 414
They looked up and saw a glowing figure floating in the air of High Priest Elf, surrounded by a halo of holy light. His presence filled the battlefield with warmth, pushing back the crimson haze.
Swoosh!
A second figure appeared beside them. A man with sharp eyes and a long spear caught it from the air and spun it once before planting it firmly into the ground. His aura burned with power.
"You all did well," Hobbins said in a cold, steady voice. His gaze shifted toward Dominic with a calmness that hid deadly intent.
Another light flashed beside him, and Fred appeared, his expression grim and focused.
"Leave the rest to us," Fred said as he drew his sword, his voice heavy with determination.
Dominic’s face darkened. The playful arrogance vanished from his features, replaced by cold hostility. His aura flickered dangerously, and the air itself began to shiver.
"It seems I was mistaken," Dominic said slowly, his voice low and hoarse, echoing across the field like a growl.
The wind around him began to twist. The snow melted beneath his feet.
"It seems the previous welcome was just for show," he continued, his crimson eyes glowing brighter. "Three SS ranks have appeared to welcome me."
"What an honor."
He tilted his head back and began to laugh.
"Kekekekeke... Hahahahaha!"
The eerie laughter along with his aura filled the sky, bouncing off the shattered cliffs and broken bridges. It sounded less like laughter and more like something alive—something that clawed at the soul.
The sound made every soldier tremble, their hearts pounding in dread.
Then, his voice turned twisted and cold.
"But do you think the three of you are enough to handle me?"
The moment he finished, the ground cracked again, and his aura burst forth like a storm.
The sky darkened instantly, and crimson energy began to spiral upward.
"DOMAIN OF WRATH!"
RUMBLE!
SWOOOSH!
Domain of Wrath.
The world turned blood red. The sky screamed with a sharp, squeaking sound as if the heavens themselves were being torn apart. A massive wave of power exploded outward, swallowing the land and pressing down on everyone.
The air grew heavy. The earth cracked open as a wave of raw energy surged through the ground. Every soldier, demon, and beast felt their body tighten, their lungs struggling to breathe under the crushing pressure.
It was as if the entire battlefield had been pulled into another world—one ruled by anger, violence, and endless destruction. The clouds above burned with crimson light, and the ground bled molten energy. In this space, everything screamed wrath.
"Do you think we’re here for a show?" Fred shouted, his eyes glowing fiercely.
"Not a chance!" Hobbins roared beside him, his face hard with determination.
Both released their full aura, and their combined power burst forth, meeting the raging Domain head-on. The collision was deafening.
BOOOOOOM!
Waves of energy slammed into each other, sending shockwaves across the battlefield. Fred’s blade glowed with a blinding light while Hobbins’ spear blazed with golden flames. The two forces clashed against the red storm, lighting up the entire sky.
However, it was clear that they were being overwhelmed. The crimson waves kept pushing forward, slowly swallowing their power.
They were being subdued.
The reason was simple, they didn’t have Domains.
A Domain was the ultimate manifestation of power. It was when a person’s will became strong enough to shape reality itself. To form a Domain was to create a world within the world,a place where your will ruled supreme and your laws replaced the natural ones.
But such a feat was nearly impossible. Even at SSS rank, some never managed to create a Domain. Others, with monstrous willpower, awakened it as early as S rank. It depended not on strength alone, but also on conviction.
A will strong enough to overpower the very laws of existence.
However only a handful in history had truly created Domains through their own will. Most others inherited them—humans through divine blessings and demons through the power of sin.
That was why Fred and Hobbins struggled. They had no inherited domain to call upon.
But then, a burst of warm light cut through the crimson storm.
[Domain of Light.]
Crebs, who had been focused on healing the wounded, stood tall, his body glowing with holy brilliance. A circle of radiant energy spread out from beneath his feet, pushing back the suffocating red haze. The air felt lighter, cleaner, and sacred warmth filled the battlefield.
Where Wrath’s Domain screamed chaos and fury, the Domain of Light radiated peace and purification. The crimson flames burned, yet the golden light refused to bow.
The two worlds collided.
BOOM!
The ground split apart. Red lightning tore through the air while golden beams shone from above. Each impact sent waves of destruction across the land, melting snow and stone alike. Fred and Hobbins joined the assault, pouring their energy into Crebs’ light.
"Hold it steady!" Fred yelled, his teeth clenched.
Hobbins thrust his spear forward, roaring, "Break, damn it!"
The light and wrath clashed violently, swirling into a storm that engulfed the entire field.
And then—
CRACK!
The two Domains shattered like glass. Fragments of red and gold light scattered into the sky before fading away into silence.
Fred almost dropped to one knee, while breathing heavily. His gaze darkened as he looked toward the red smoke ahead.
"Damn," he muttered. "It took three of us just to break his Domain. Now this is going to be troublesome."
Dominic stepped back looking around for a bit and shouted,"All of you can come out now."
"Time to engage for real."
Rays of light burst across the battlefield, one after another that shot from the fort behind.
The shots of light landed on the ground behind amidst the sea of demons emitting a terrifying pressure, strong enough to shock everyone.
From that blinding glow, four figures appeared around Domnic with their auras flaring violently. The pressure they released made the ground tremble and the air twist.
"Haa...finally,I can have some fun..Hehehe!"
