The Grants: Choosing One Between The Two
Chapter 146: Ethan Grant Makes Summers Call Him Daddy in Public
CHAPTER 146: CHAPTER 146: ETHAN GRANT MAKES SUMMERS CALL HIM DADDY IN PUBLIC
"Summers, call Grandpa." Ethan Grant gently rubbed Summers’ head, his voice deep.
"..." In the treatment room, everyone was stunned.
Ethan Grant was not only asserting his authority but also informing the Bells of Summers’ position in his heart.
Especially Arthur Grant, who was very aware of the real ’marriage’ relationship between Yvette Aston and Ethan Grant.
His face turned from dark to darker, and Arthur Grant spoke coldly, "Come out!"
"Grandpa..." Summers timidly called out, only to receive a cold warning gaze from Arthur Grant.
Feeling a bit wronged, Summers turned to lie on Ethan Grant’s shoulder and whispered, "Uncle... Grandpa seems to not like Summers."
"Call me Dad." Ethan Grant spoke again.
Summers looked at Ethan Grant in surprise. Was he agreeing to let him call him Dad?
Staring at Ethan Grant with intensity for a while, Summers hugged Ethan Grant tightly and timidly called out, "Dad..."
He was so happy.
He liked Dad.
Ethan Grant only felt a strong ache in his heart, instinctively tightening his grip on Summers.
Unexpectedly... he would come to like this child so much.
Wendy Bell’s eyes reddened, and she stepped forward to question Ethan Grant. "Do you have to humiliate me like this?"
Recognizing a wild child as his son? And letting that wild child call him Dad in front of the Bells!
For Wendy Bell, this was an immense humiliation.
"Humiliation? Where does that idea come from?" Ethan Grant asked calmly.
"Ethan Grant, the Grant Family has already agreed to the marriage alliance with the Bells, and now you let an outsider child call you Dad in front of Wendy, what does this mean?" Mr. Bell asked coldly, unable to maintain his composure. "Arthur, what is Ethan planning?"
Arthur Grant also couldn’t maintain his composure, warningly looking at Ethan Grant, hoping he would recognize the situation.
"Dad..." Claudia was still sitting on the ground, Mrs. Bell holding her and crying.
"Bell, look at our daughter, look at how they’ve bullied her. This time, no matter what, the Bells won’t let Yvette Aston off!" Mrs. Bell cried out. "Yvette, you’ve gone too far."
Yvette Aston hung her head, her fingers clenched tightly.
"What does this have to do with Yvette? I was the one who taught your daughter a lesson." Michelle Lockwood called out to Arthur Grant. "Uncle Grant, long time no see."
Arthur Grant only then noticed, the Lockwood Family was also there.
"Michelle? It’s been a long time indeed." Arthur Grant nodded in acknowledgment.
To some extent, he had to give face to the Lockwood Family.
After all, Michelle Lockwood currently held all the real power over the Lockwood Family’s import-export trade.
"This Auntie, teaching starts with parents at home. Your daughter lacks upbringing, if you don’t educate her properly at home, someone has to do it outside. No need to thank me too much, I tried my best; she’s still a mud that can’t hold a wall, a rotten wood that can’t be carved." Michelle Lockwood said with a face that suggested they should not thank her too much.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell’s expressions had darkened to the extreme. "Is this..."
"The Lockwood Family’s daughter, Michelle Lockwood." Arthur Grant introduced quietly.
"The Lockwood Family?" The Bells’ faces darkened further. "Treating my daughter like this, isn’t the Lockwood Family going too far?"
"Why don’t you first ask what your daughter did?" Michelle Lockwood was shocked. "Before I came, I thought maybe the Bells just had one person lacking manners, but it turns out you are all of a kind? Your daughter brought over a dozen bodyguards to smash up my boyfriend’s place and injured our child. I haven’t even settled accounts with you yet."
Caden Summers suddenly looked up, Michelle Lockwood never lied without thinking, and her face never blushed or heart skipped.
Since when did he become her boyfriend?
Yvette Aston looked at Michelle Lockwood in shock, then looked at her brother, wondering if finally, the iron tree was blooming?
Feeling a bit thrilled, Yvette’s eyes reddened deeply.
All these years... because of her and Charlotte Summers, Caden Summers had always been under controversy, and he received as much slander and defamation as she did.
Yvette Aston felt for her brother and hoped he had a woman who could genuinely love him, willing to spend the rest of her life with him.
"Mom... Dad, it hurts, it hurts so much." Claudia cried out in pain. "Dad, I don’t care who she is, today you have to teach her a lesson for me."
Mr. Bell kept a somber face, snorted, "You all ganged up to bully my daughter."
Michelle Lockwood rolled her eyes, thinking it was like a thief crying, "Stop thief."
"Indeed, reasoning with unreasonable people is like playing the lute to a cow," Michelle Lockwood charged forward boldly, kicking Claudia in front of Mrs. Bell. "Come on, I’m waiting for you to teach me a lesson, let’s see what your Bell Family can do to me today."
With that, Michelle Lockwood pulled over a chair and sat beside Claudia. "Hurry up, I’m pressed for time."
Claudia was terrified, crying and hiding behind Mrs. Bell.
"Oh my, what kind of upbringing does the Lockwood Family have, raising a bandit daughter like you; who would dare marry you, simply a delinquent girl." Mrs. Bell embraced Claudia protectively, shaking with anger.
"Oh, a young girl? Thank you Auntie for the compliment. I’m an unlucky star who brings misfortune to whoever crosses me," Michelle Lockwood said nonchalantly.
These words were lies from the internet about her, and the scathing talk and slander spread behind her back in Meridia.
Yet she could easily use them as weapons to fight back against others.
Yvette Aston looked at Michelle Lockwood with admiration, thinking this might be the way she envied and could never live.
"Utterly unreasonable!" Mrs. Bell said angrily, holding Claudia and stepping aside. "Doctor! Quickly treat my daughter’s wounds, call the police if necessary."
"I will also call the police. Your daughter illegally detained people, incited a disturbance, obstructed medical treatment, injured a child, and vandalized public property. Isn’t she still on bail?" Lucas Lockwood said lightly, carrying a medical box over to Claudia.
Threats aside, as a doctor, he still had to do his job.
"Mom! I don’t want him, I don’t want him to treat my wounds. He’s with them," Claudia screamed in terror, yelling.
Lucas Lockwood shrugged, "If she doesn’t cooperate, there’s nothing I can do."
Mrs. Bell’s face turned pale; her daughter really couldn’t afford to cause trouble now.
"You said... you could have stayed home properly, what are you doing running around," Mrs. Bell softly reproached Claudia, knowing the Lockwood Family was not to be trifled with.
But Claudia was spoiled, crying and demanding her mother to stand up for her.
"Ethan..." On the other side, Wendy Bell’s eyes reddened, her voice choked. "Claudia is my sister, if she’s done something wrong, I apologize on her behalf... I really like Summers, I feel heartbroken for Summers’ injury, but... please don’t punish me with this, it’s unfair to me... We are about to get engaged, you promised you would take good care of me, you know I can’t handle this..."
Wendy Bell always portrayed a severe depressive disorder to the outside world, and Ethan Grant provoking her like this was something she certainly couldn’t accept.
Evidently, Wendy Bell was much smarter than Claudia.
Her words seemed powerless but each one told everyone that she couldn’t handle stimulation. If you stimulated her, she would commit suicide, and then everyone would be guilty.
Especially Ethan Grant.
