CHAPTER 35: CHAPTER 35: JAYDEN GRANT GIVES YVETTE ASTON AWAY AGAIN

Grant Family.

Yvette couldn’t afford a taxi, so she ran back to the Grant Family from the hospital, arriving at 8:35.

Five minutes late.

Jayden seemed to deliberately wait for her in the yard, his expression sour.

"You’re late." Jayden glanced at the time, his voice low.

Yvette lowered her head and walked toward the house. She only needed to take care of Charlotte Summers, not look at Jayden’s face.

"Stop." Jayden reached out to block Yvette. "I’ll ask you one last time, who is that man?"

He was obsessed with finding out who the man was that Yvette chose to betray him with.

If it wasn’t Chase, who could it be?

Tom?

He investigated; it wasn’t Tom.

There were too many people at the hotel that night; Jayden couldn’t guess who it was.

Among the people Yvette knew, there weren’t many bold enough to have an affair with her.

"I want to know too..." Yvette looked at Jayden, pushing his hand away.

"What do you mean! You still won’t tell me." Jayden looked at Yvette with anger.

Yvette also had curses in her heart, harsh words she couldn’t bring out, but she really wanted to call him an idiot...

She never used to think Jayden was such a brainless person.

No matter what she said, he didn’t believe it, just stubbornly thought she was protecting that person, refusing to reveal him.

Swears in her heart, but Yvette dared not actually curse out loud.

She could only lower her head in silence.

She couldn’t afford to provoke him.

"After all these years, you truly haven’t learned your lesson at all." Jayden laughed sarcastically. "I’ve been giving you a chance."

Yvette lowered her head, silent for a long time, then looked up at Jayden. "What chance are you giving me?"

"I’m waiting for you to confess to me, tell me who that man is!" Jayden’s voice was filled with anger.

Yvette now was like a soft punching bag, no matter how angry you got, how much you hit her, she stayed silent like hitting cotton, driving people crazy.

"Why are you so obsessed with knowing who that man is? Are you really angry that I betrayed you, or are you just unwilling, wanting to know who is better than you, who could make me irresistibly be with him and betray you?" Yvette usually spoke very little; she was afraid that by saying more, any word might bring disaster.

In prison, she was almost withdrawn, capable of not speaking for months on end, unless deliberately engaged in conversation during psychological counseling, she could go an entire year without saying a word.

"Does it make a difference?" Jayden looked at Yvette with disgust. "Tell me who he is, maybe I could let you go."

"Your so-called giving me a chance is to question me over and over. I answered, you didn’t believe me. What answer could I possibly give to satisfy you?" Yvette felt lost.

She no longer knew what to do.

Six years... Before going to prison, she kept explaining, kept crying out, shouting.

Did he ever believe her? No.

He just kept hurting her, pushing her into the abyss again and again.

Jayden was enraged by Yvette; he hated her demeanor, her eyes devoid of light, cowardly and timid, yet not placing him in her eyes.

Yvette used to love to laugh; she was so proud, like a white swan, her eyes bright when she looked at him, as if her eyes contained only him.

But now, the way Yvette looked at him was indifferent, with no light and no emotion.

Besides fear and timidity, there was nothing else.

This made Jayden even more furious.

"Yvette, why are you so late?" Jayden still wanted to force Yvette to reveal who that man was, but Charlotte Summers came over and wrapped her arms around his.

Yvette lowered her head again, still saying nothing.

"Go to the shed in the backyard and get me a shovel; I want to plant flowers myself." Charlotte Summers instructed Yvette to go to the shed.

Jayden’s fingers tightened, and his Adam’s apple bobbed, but ultimately he said nothing.

He just watched Yvette head to the backyard.

"She wants her son to get into school soon, doesn’t she? We’re helping her." Charlotte Summers spoke lightly, her eyes venomous but her mouth kind.

Jayden said nothing, feeling inexplicably restless, pulled his arm back, and entered the living room.

Charlotte Summers shot a venomous glance at the shed’s location; once Yvette entered that door, she would no longer worry about Jayden being taken away by Yvette.

Because Jayden was perfectly aware of how disgusting the housekeeper’s son was; a woman he had touched, Jayden would never touch again.

Jayden’s resolve to send Yvette to the housekeeper’s son made Charlotte very satisfied.

"Hmph." She snorted coldly and also entered the living room.

Whether Yvette could survive depended on her own destiny.

As long as she resisted, she would trigger that person’s violent psyche. That person was mentally unstable... if he truly attacked Yvette, how could he let her survive?
