The Grants: Choosing One Between The Two
Chapter 45: Yvette Aston Is Leaving Meridia
CHAPTER 45: CHAPTER 45: YVETTE ASTON IS LEAVING MERIDIA
Caden lost control and struggled. "Stellan, you bastard, if you’ve got guts, come at me."
Yvette’s bandaged ear got injured again, now her left ear might really go deaf.
Lying on the ground, Yvette weakly tried to crawl towards Summers.
He was terrified, still constantly wiping his nosebleed.
"Caden, my sister almost got killed by this bitch yesterday, and she even managed to involve Ethan Grant, she’s quite impressive." Stellan kicked Yvette hard in the stomach, seemingly angry that she found support.
"Yvette, you’re really getting more capable, what tricks did you use to seduce Ethan Grant?" Stellan yanked Yvette’s hair again, forcing her to look. "Take a good look."
After saying this, Stellan signaled the bodyguards to go after Caden. "Which hand did you use to molest my sister, huh? Let your sister watch closely how I’ll cripple you."
Caden struggled, his right hand was pressed to the ground.
When he was in the army, he learned maintenance from his comrades, and after retiring, he specialized in car repair, his skills were great, relying entirely on those hands.
If they crippled Caden’s hands, it would truly... take Caden’s life.
"No..." Yvette panicked, kneeling on the ground, pleading with Stellan. "No... I beg you, you want my hand, mine, mine... Don’t hurt my brother, please..."
Yvette’s voice was hoarse, pleading with Stellan to spare Caden.
But Stellan just trapped her coldly, forcing her to keep her eyes open, watching.
A bodyguard picked up a car repair hammer nearby and slammed it down on Caden’s hand, blow after blow, blood and flesh blurred...
Yvette knelt stiffly on the ground, her body gradually becoming numb and cold.
Summers was still crying, crying and rushing to hug her uncle’s hand.
Yet the hammer was still about to smash down.
She was just a child...
How could they do it.
In a frenzy, Caden struggled, gripping a bloody fist, punching the bodyguard’s face, nobody could pull him away, as if he wanted to kill.
These people forced him, all of it was forced.
Yvette just knelt there, surrounded by silence.
She looked up at Stellan with a hoarse voice. "What I owe the Aston Family... I’ve already paid back, yet you still force me..."
She wasn’t afraid of death, so what was there to fear?
"Yvette, what you owe the Aston Family, what you owe Charlotte, do you think you can repay? My sister was severely depressed from abuse since childhood, tormented by nightmares all her life, she lost a kidney in a car accident suicide, was provoked by you into a critical condition coma, do you think the Aston Family and Grant Family will let you go? I’m telling you, this is just the beginning."
Stellan told Yvette the truth, Charlotte was comatose from the shock, and May and George had already lost control, they had the intent to take Yvette’s life.
He came personally, at least could ensure Yvette wouldn’t die...
"Leave." Possibly satisfied, Stellan threw Yvette aside and left with the others.
Caden held Summers, continuously comforting her.
Summers was shaken and trembling all over.
They all knew it couldn’t go on like this, continuing this way... the child would become ill.
Yvette sat on the ground, silently for a long time.
Perhaps her return was a mistake.
She should stay away from Summers to allow him to pass his childhood safely.
...
"Brother, I have to go." Yvette initially thought donating a kidney could settle the debt, but now it seemed the Aston Family was no longer worth it.
What the Aston Family wanted had already taken too much from her side.
She had repaid enough for these twenty years of upbringing.
"Where will you go..." Caden’s voice was hoarse, leaning against the wall, smoking incessantly.
Summers had fallen asleep, deeply shocked.
Her condition hadn’t received effective treatment and relief, Yvette needed money, a lot of money.
"Go out and find work..." Yvette glanced at Caden. "Brother, I’ll send living expenses home every month, don’t hold back on eating, if the child’s schooling... really isn’t solvable, then don’t go to kindergarten, there’s always compulsory education."
Caden nodded, it was a helpless situation.
"If I stay, the Aston Family and Grant Family won’t let me go, the child will always be stressed, he has autism tendencies, he can’t take more stress." Yvette wiped her tears, tears soaking into the cigarette scar on her face, it hurt so much.
"Going out to hide, maybe it’s for the best." Caden agreed. "Take this money, I found a job, not as tiring as car repair, working 24 hours, resting 24 hours, still quite leisurely, I can take care of the child."
Yvette only took five one hundred bills from the money Caden gave as travel expenses, the rest was pushed back to Caden. "Need money for child care..."
Choking back, she turned and walked away.
"Yvette..." Caden called out. "No matter where you go, call your brother."
Yvette’s left ear couldn’t hear anymore, she didn’t pause.
She was leaving.
Escape.
Go to earn money.
If she didn’t donate a kidney to Charlotte, the Aston Family would search for her more crazily.
Maybe one day she’d disappear into the wilderness, having all her organs taken.
With a sarcastic laugh, Yvette limped away,
After a few steps, she turned to look back.
What she was most unwilling to part with was her son...
