The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World
Chapter 187 - 184- I Almost Nutted
CHAPTER 187: CHAPTER 184- I ALMOST NUTTED
Screeech!!
The Mother Spider released a cry of agony as Yoon-Jae’s beam of energy pierced one of its eyes and destroyed its insides.
It dramatically fell from its web and crashed onto the ground next to the corpse of the Father Spider. The hall trembled as it landed.
In the sky, Yoon-Jae’s blue armor scattered into blue specs of light, before he coughed out a mouthful of blood and started falling from the sky.
Bang!
Sol’s figure destroyed the edge of the balcony as he leaped into the air. The momentum was enough to carry him several tens of meters to reach Yoon-Jae.
Sol caught him with both hands before they continued their descent towards the massive pillar that had fallen in the middle of the hall.
Sol’s hair flapped about uncontrollably, but his eyes remained focused on keeping their bodies stable in the air. Just before landing on the massive pillar destroyed by the Mother Spider, Sol controlled his anklets to slow their momentum.
However, the landing was still pretty hard, and a large shockwave burst out as he crashed into the pillar.
A small crater was created on the pillar, but looking inside, Sol had successfully landed with Yoon-Jae, who was also holding onto Little Zeel.
Mar-Dule was right behind them, and he leaped several times to reach the top of the massive pillar before rushing towards Sol and Yoon-Jae.
Ji-Hoon and the others arrived a bit later.
"I can’t believe it! I got to see Devil Devil Yoon’s Divine Beast Transformation!"
Mar-Dule said excitedly as he reached Sol and Yoon-Jae’s position.
Yoon-Jae’s face was pale, but he still managed to glare at Mar-Dule, who was wearing a happy expression as Sol healed him.
"Is Brother Yoon-Jae okay?"
Byeong-Ho asked in place of everyone as they approached.
Sol nodded but added.
"His injuries are something I can heal given time, but all the Aether Energy in his body is frozen."
"I-It’s fine, this always happens when I over-exert my Ice Phoenix Innate Dharma. It’ll unfreeze if I circulate my Fire Aether Energy a few times. But is that thing dead?"
Ji-Hoon looked over at the Mother Spider’s corpse and nodded.
"Yeah, your attack completely killed it. Also, it seems the smaller spiders were somehow connected to their mother since they died as well."
Yoon-Jae released a sigh.
"Good, because I can’t use that ability again."
"Brother Yoon-Jae, how were you able to do that?"
Sol asked out of curiosity.
"Brother Sol, don’t you know? Divine Beast Innate Dharma users can fuse with their Innate Dharmas to boost their power. However, there is an additional level that they strive to achieve, and that’s to call upon the abilities of the Divine Beast themselves!"
Little Abdu suddenly perked up and asked.
"Is that really the case?"
Mar-Dule nodded, and Little Abdu suddenly went into his thoughts. Meanwhile, Sol said.
"So that ability was from your Ice Phoenix? That’s awesome, Brother Yoon-Jae. I wish I had an ability like that!"
Yoon-Jae looked at Sol and then rolled his eyes.
"You mean you wished it were a Martial Skill so you could copy it."
Sol immediately scratched his cheek and smiled embarrassingly.
"Ah, was it that obvious, Brother Yoon-Jae?"
"Of course..."
Yoon-Jae turned away from Sol and closed his eyes, but continued to say.
"...Also, I prefer if you dropped the formalities and called me by my name as you did before. It’s been bugging me this entire time."
"Okay!"
"Brother Sol, you can do the same for me as well, and I’ll speak normally with Brother Sol."
Mar-Dule suddenly said, and Byeong-Ho and the others chimed in.
The group had just gotten closer after going through so much.
"Wait! Bastard Yoon-Jae, I have to ask how you’re alive after using that ability? Only those whose Innate Dharmas have gone through their first evolution can use it. But from the battle styles I’ve studied from you Arkadians, this was supposed to be a sacrificial trump card for Mortal Realm cultivators if used. But you’re relatively fine after using it. Is it because you have two Innate Dharmas?"
Yoon-Jae opened his eyes and glared at Mar-Dule for a second time.
"Bastard Mar-Dule, do I look fine to yo-*bleh!*"
A fountain of blood suddenly spurted out of Yoon-Jae’s mouth, cutting him off. He then started choking on his blood, as he had been lying on his back.
Sol panicked and hurriedly raised him into a sitting position. He then went behind Yoon-Jae and placed both of his palms on his back while calling out his Innate Dharma.
Yoon-Jae’s injuries were worse than he thought. If Sol had to, he would compare it to the injuries he suffered when he took off his bracelets.
’Actually, it’s the same. Bro-I mean, Yoon-Jae’s body isn’t able to handle the power of his Innate Dharmas. I knew his case was very similar to mine when I heard it from Uncle Master, but not to this extent.’
"Let’s rest before we move on."
Byeong-Ho suggested, and everyone agreed before sitting around together. They didn’t dare separate. Who knows what else was hidden away in this ominously dark palace?
As they chatted, some time into their rest, Heon-Tae turned and looked at Byeong-Ho, who was still missing an arm.
"Youngest Brother, why aren’t you healing your arm?"
Byeong-Ho looked at his missing left hand and replied.
"I don’t know how injured I’ll be after this mission. I might as well endure it until we leave the dimension."
Everyone looked at Byeong-Ho strangely. His mental fortitude was astounding, but at the same time, he sounded like a masochist.
They then saw Sol suddenly give Byeong-Ho a thumbs up and compliment him for his decision. Immediately, everyone concluded that both of them were secretly masochists.
After nearly an hour of nonstop healing, Sol was finally able to return Yoon-Jae’s body to a somewhat normal state.
Yoon-Jae was circulating his Fire Aether Energy all this while, so his cultivation was getting back to normal as well.
"Bro-I mean, Yoon-Jae, try not to use that ability again."
"I know, Master warned me not to use it until I enter the Spiritual Realm, but that bug just pissed me off so much. Do you know I hate spiders? A normal one snuck into my bath when I was little, and it scarred me ever since. I was so relieved when it died that I almost nutted."
"Ah! Was that a dirty joke?"
Sol asked as he helped Yoon-Jae stand up.
"Yes, yes it was."
Yoon-Jea brushed off his clothes with one hand while holding Little Zeel in the other. He then turned to look at the Mother Spider with Cheong-San’s ability.
"Let’s go look at it. Don’t Beasts in the Spiritual Realm have a core? Even if this thing hasn’t entered the Spiritual Realm fully, it should have developed most of it already."
As the group walked along the massive pillar towards the front of the hall, Sol recalled his Master’s teachings on Spirit Beasts.
Their cultivation progress wasn’t much different from the Barbarian Race, except that they didn’t use runes.
But like with everything his Master taught him, he never told him more than what he deemed necessary. It was the same with the higher levels of cultivation as well as the concept of linking and overlapping runes to create formations. Information on Spirit Beasts was the same too.
Sol supposed it was like that, so he would seek out the information himself, rather than have his Master hold his hand during his entire cultivation journey.
Right now, even though he was a bit away from the Spiritual Realm, he was at a stage where he should be researching more in-depth about it.
"Wait, Little Abdu, do you have a dantian-I mean, a beast core?"
Sol suddenly asked as he looked up at Little Abdu.
Little Abdu opened his eyes and responded.
"Of course, where else would I store my Aether Energy?"
