The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World
Chapter 197 - 194- Leaving
CHAPTER 197: CHAPTER 194- LEAVING
Mar-Dule looked away from the door and glared at Ji-Hoon.
"So you’re taking the Inheritance and kicking us out?"
However, just as he said that, storage rings suddenly appeared in front of everyone’s faces.
"These storage rings contain plenty of cultivation resources. But in the future, you can return and take as many more from the dimension as you want."
Mar-Dule snorted and grabbed the ring out of the air.
He was putting on an angry front, but as he looked inside the storage ring, his angry face twisted. It looked like he was trying to stay angry, but at the same time, wanted to grin.
"Ehem... Whatever."
Mar-Dule said before he turned and headed for the door.
Byeong-Ho glanced at the storage ring in front of him before he turned and headed for the door, not taking the ring.
"You still haven’t apologized for trying to kill Eldest Brother."
Heon-Tae said, and Byeong-Ho paused.
Without turning around, he replied.
"The Huashan Sect is all I know. I’m sympathetic to the Forgotten Sect, but that is as far as my feelings go. If someone threatens my Huashan Sect, I will retaliate. I won’t apologize to Eldest Brother because he’s someone who will go against my Huashan Sect in the future."
After saying that, Byeong-Ho continued walking towards the door.
"Third Brother."
Cheong-San called for Heon-Tae. However, Cheong-Su dragged his little brother towards the door.
"Let’s go, Third brother has already made his decision."
They both chose to take their storage rings.
"Sol, are you coming?"
Yoon-Jae stopped when he saw that Sol didn’t move towards the door.
"Leave without me, Brother Yoon-Jae. I need to speak with Ji-Hoon first."
Yoon-Jae paused, but seeing Sol’s expression, he nodded.
He also took his storage ring before leaving.
The only ones left in the hall were Sol, Heon-Tae, Ji-Hoon, and Jinji. Little Abdu and Little Zeel were also with Sol.
Looking at Ji-Hoon, Sol suddenly smiled.
"You weren’t planning on killing the disciples. Were you?"
Ji-Hoon forced a smile.
"I can’t hide anything from you, can I, Brother Sol?"
"It’s obvious you’re trying too hard to look like a villain. Why are you going so far? Is seeking revenge for the Forgotten Sect the only reason?"
Ji-Hoon paused before saying.
"Brother Sol, my father told me that in the past, the Forgotten Sect was well respected. They looked after and cared for disciples that no one else would care for; disciples that the Six Holy Sects and the Five Great Clans cast aside. But that all changed when the Six Holy Sects and the Five Great Clans felt threatened by the Forgotten Sect, which was growing in power. Turns out the disciples with Irregular Innate Dharmas, whom they deemed as defective goods and cast aside, became more powerful than their precious geniuses. I don’t need to retell what happened next."
"So, your goal is to get rid of the Six Holy Sects and the Five Great Clans?"
"If the Sect Leader isn’t going to do it, and no one else doesn’t want to, then I will. Those people are like a disease that’s plaguing Jianghu and the entire Eastern Region for an innumerable number of years. But now that the barrier to the Western Region is opened, that disease is about to spread to cover the entire world. Before that happens, I’m going to eradicate them from the face of the earth and create a world where people don’t have to suffer because of them."
"Even if that leads to you becoming a mass murderer?"
Ji-Hoon looked at Sol and said with conviction.
"I’ve already decided to take this path, I’m fully prepared to be treated as a monster."
Sol had a complicated expression appear on his face. He turned to glance at Heon-Tae, who was silently clutching his blade in his hands.
Turning back to Ji-Hoon, Sol asked.
"Brother Ji-Hoon, what did you see in that illusion?"
Ji-Hoon smiled.
"I really can’t hide anything from you, Brother Sol. What I saw in that illusion was the source of my innate talent."
"And what is it?"
Ji-Hoon’s smile grew wider.
"How about I show you?"
Ji-Hoon formed a single hand seal, and immediately, the space behind him began to distort.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The sound of metal rattling could be heard as numerous small chains appeared out of the distorted space. These chains slowly elongated as if it was pulling on something.
Soon, ripples started to appear in the distorted space, and the hall shook intensely.
The object being pulled was revealed, and Sol, along with Heon-Tae, stared at it with wide eyes.
Little Abdu narrowed his eyes as he looked at it, while Jinji had a face full of realization.
The object was a ball made of large and small fiery metal chains. Judging by its size, it was around eighty to ninety meters in width.
When these ball metal chains appeared in the distorted space, they released a scorching heat in the surroundings.
Ji-Hoon looked up at it and said softly.
"This is my true Innate Dharma. However, someone had placed a seal on it."
The pressure that was coming from Ji-Hoon’s Innate Dharma was terrifying. Also, what’s even more, it was radiating the aura of a Tier 8 Innate Dharma.
But if Ji-Hoon’s words about it being sealed were correct, then how strong was it actually?
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The fiery chains rattle constantly.
Something was inside that ball of chains.
One of Sol’s eyes suddenly gained a dark glow.
He glanced at the ball of chains and his vision seeped inside.
Two pairs of eyes with vertical pupils in them opened and peered back at him.
’Who is it?’
A voice entered Sol’s ears, and he was shocked.
’It has sentience?’
Sol was about to deactivate his Heavenly Eyes, but the voice suddenly released a groan. Golden runes then appeared and forced it back into slumber.
’That’s-!!’
Sol’s eyes widened as he looked at the golden runes. Of course, he would recognize those runes; they were his Master’s runes!
Suddenly, a thought struck Sol.
’Master was the one who gathered Ji-Hoon and the others. Did he plan all of this? I should have known, it wasn’t a coincidence that all of them met the requirements to obtain the Inheritances in the Subsidiary Palaces.’
"Did you see it, Brother Sol?"
Sol paused.
He glanced at the beast inside the ball of chains before deactivating his Heavenly Eyes and nodding at Ji-Hoon’s question.
"Your Innate Dharma is a dragon! No wonder the Grand Formation chose you!"
Jinji couldn’t hold back anymore and blurted this out.
"Brother Sol, since I chose this path, I will see it through to the end. Since no one is willing to make this sacrifice, I will. However..."
Ji-Hoon looked at Sol and smiled.
"I am going to seal this dimension and cultivate to the peak of Jianghu. When I come out, Brother Sol will have only one chance to change my mind. If you can’t, I’ll slaughter everyone from the Six Holy Sects and the Five Great Clans. I’ll create a river out of their blood that spans the entirety of Jianghu."
"The destruction that will unfold is going to be unimaginable if you wage a war on that scale. Normal people who aren’t a part of the Holy Sects and Great Clans are going to get dragged in. It will be chaos."
"And from that chaos, my ideal world will be born."
Sol frowned, but at the same time, he thought to himself that this could have been him. If his Master hadn’t been there, he would have likely made a similar decision to Ji-Hoon.
’Is this what Master wants me to see?’
"Brother Sol, don’t worry, I’ll stay with Eldest Brother and beat some sense into him."
Sol glanced at Heon-Tae before he released a sigh. He then grabbed the storage ring floating next to him before turning to leave through the door. But just as he was about to leave, he turned back to look at Heon-Tae and Ji-Hoon. He also glanced at the ball of chains.
"Brat, are you sure you want to leave like this? That kid is going to be an annoying enemy in the future. If you act now, you might be able to kill him with my help."
Sol went silent for a moment, then said.
"He’s not my enemy, Little Abdu, at least not yet. I just have to convince him to give up on going down this path, just like Master did for me. After that, we’ll go back to being friends. But if I’m not even strong enough to do something as simple as saving a friend, then what qualifications do I have to bother seeking revenge on the Church or go searching for my true origins?"
After saying this, Sol smiled and waved at Heon-Tae and Ji-Hoon. They both waved back, along with Jinji, who was next to them.
Sol then turned and exited through the door, leaving Immortal Dai Shen’s Palace and the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension altogether.
However, this wasn’t an eternal farewell. They were going to meet again in the future, and Sol promised himself they were going to be friends.
He just had to be strong enough when the time came.
