The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World
Chapter 203 - 200- What a Coincidence
CHAPTER 203: CHAPTER 200- WHAT A COINCIDENCE
After wiping his lips, Park Yong said.
"Brother Sol, aren’t you too ambitious with such prices? Normally, Tier 6 medicinal herbs and plants go for a few hundred high-grade Aether Stones. Even in auctions, they barely go over one or two million. But you’re selling one for three million?"
"The Tier 6 ones are for three million, but the prices double for Tier 8 and triple for Tier 9."
Park Yong’s face turned slightly serious.
"You have mature Tier 9 medicinal plants and herbs?"
Sol nodded.
"I found a handful inside the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension."
Park Yong was startled.
"Brother Sol, did you find some kind of Inheritance inside the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension for you to have this many medicinal plants and herbs?"
Sol laughed.
"That’s not the case, Clan Leader Park. This isn’t known by many people currently since I don’t show off my Innate Dharma, but I don’t mind telling you."
Sol leaned over the table as if he were about to tell Park Yong a massive secret.
"Turns out my Innate Dharma has a strong affinity for the Wood Element, so it can locate medicinal plants!"
Park Yong’s heart was moved for the umpteenth time. He looked at Sol’s grinning expression, and he felt the desire to kidnap him.
That sort of ability alone would warrant the Academy flinging everything his way to please him. But if the rumors of his talent were true, this brat was set for life.
How many young kids embarking on their cultivation journey at this moment would kill to be in this brat’s shoes?
Park Yong sighed internally, while Sol added.
"But Clan Leader Park, these medicinal plants and herbs are not only mine. After all, there’s no way I could collect so many by myself. A few of my fellow disciples are trusting me to sell theirs while I take a cut of the profits. You understand, right, Clan Leader Park?"
Sol wiggled his brows, and Park Yong couldn’t help but be amused at his actions. He was starting to like this boy.
He had his shortcomings, but his eye for profits wasn’t too bad. A person his age wouldn’t think to gather medicinal herbs and plants from their peers and sell them for a cut of the profits.
With his reputation, he might be able to get a higher price for the medicinal plants and herbs if they themselves sold them, so it was a good deal for his peers but more so for himself.
"No wonder Brother Sol is so renowned. I can see why that is the case. I apologize once again for my actions previously."
Park Yong suddenly said as he poured Sol and himself a cup of wine.
"I hope Brother Sol will accept this cup of wine as my apology. Let’s clear all the grudges from before and wipe the slate clean."
Sol smiled and nodded.
He picked up his cup of wine and then downed it at the same time as Park Yong.
After drinking his cup of wine, Park Yong looked at Sol and said.
"Brother Sol, I’m interested in purchasing those medicinal plants and herbs, but I’ve wasted so many Aether Stones on those shabby ones I saw in those auctions. I wish Brother Sol had come to me sooner."
"I apologize, Clan Leader Park. I was busy being treated like a child by the other Clan Leaders. I wish I had come to Clan Leader Park sooner as well."
Sol had a disappointed expression. It was obvious he was thinking about the profits he would have obtained if he had come here when Park Yong had enough Aether Stones.
Park Yong sipped on his cup of wine, and a thought suddenly came to him. Though he hesitated.
Sol, seeing this asked.
"Clan Leader Park, what is it?"
After hesitating, Park Yong looked at Sol and asked.
"I don’t want to seem shameless, so I was about to cast aside the idea."
"What is it?"
Sol urged.
Park Yong paused for a bit before saying.
"I was thinking of taking out a Loan from the Alchemy Pavilion to pay Brother Sol."
It was Sol’s turn now to show a hesitant expression.
Even though Park Yong said it was shameless, he seemed not to want to give up on the idea.
"Is this possible for Brother Sol?"
Sol thought for a moment, then said.
"I suppose it’s possible. From what I heard, Brother Yoon-Jae doesn’t just Loan to the Mortals."
"Is Brother Sol friends with the Alchemy Genius and one of the Rising Stars, Disciple Yoon-Jae?"
Sol nodded, and Park Yong was surprised.
"I suppose I could be the mediator to persuade him to allow Clan Leader Park to take out a loan. However, I wonder if it would be a problem for Clan Leader Park to pay it back, considering..."
Sol didn’t finish his sentence, but Park Yong knew what he was hinting at.
Waving his hands, Park Yong said.
"I have no problem paying back the Alchemy Pavilion. I am not so shameless as to take advantage of Juniors trying to do good."
Sol nodded before flipping over his palm and taking out a communication jade slip.
After a few seconds, Sol looked up and said.
"Looks like he agrees, however, he said the interest rates would be high as a deterrent if you back out of paying. The contract would also have to be a Blood Oath."
Park Yong thought for a moment. The old man next to him looked like he wanted to say something, but he stopped himself.
After a moment, Park Yong nodded.
"As long as the interest rates aren’t too outrageous. As for the Blood Oath, it is only natural in situations like these."
Sol nodded and then looked back down at his communication jade slip.
After a while, he placed it back into one of his many storage rings and said.
"Brother Yoon-Jae said he’ll personally come to write up the contract with Clan Leader Park. As for the medicinal plants and herbs, how much is Clan Leader Park willing to buy?"
"Would Brother Sol be able to provide fifty Tier 7 and Tier 8 medicinal herbs and plants? As for Tier 9 medicinal plants and herbs, I dare not ask for more than one of each."
Sol nodded before fiddling with two of his storage rings. He was transferring the amount into one ring.
After finishing, Sol stood up and took off another one of his storage rings.
"Clan Leader Park, I’ll gift them now and take my leave. After Brother Yoon-Jae draws up the contract, I’ll receive the payment direction from him."
Seeing how trusting Sol was, Park Yong’s impression of him grew. He might be hungry for profits, but he knew when to show it and when not to.
Park Yong stood up and cupped his fist towards Sol.
"Brother Sol, though my Park Clan will be leaving Pearl City due to the issue with the sealed Dimension. I hope we’ll be able to welcome you to our Clan in the future."
"Of course, Clan Leader Park."
Sol said while bowing.
Afterward, Park Yong led Sol out of the Pavilion.
Outside, Yoon-Jae was seen walking towards them. He reached quite quickly.
Stepping forward, Sol greeted him warmly.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, were you nearby? You reached rather quickly!"
Snort!
"Who is your brother?"
Yoon-Jae said as he walked past Sol without greeting him.
Sol scratched his cheek embarrassingly.
Park Yong, seeing their interaction, realized Sol’s relationship with Yoon-Jae might not be as close as Sol claimed.
’Well, this isn’t a surprise, that child might have few friends due to his personality.’
Park Yong thought as he cupped his fist towards Yoon-Jae before leading him into the Pavilion.
An hour later, Park Yong was sending Yoon-Jae off.
"Clan Leader, don’t you think it’s risky to be taking out a loan at this juncture?"
"Isn’t the risk worth it? Now we’ll be able to secure the Clan’s prosperity in the future with these medicinal plants and herbs."
"But how will we pay back such a huge sum? Also, the interest rates are quite high. What if we don’t manage to pay it off immediately?"
Park Yong smiled.
"Don’t you think I’ve thought of all this already? I’ll sell some of the lower-tier medicinal plants and herbs for a higher price than I bought them from that child. That old fart Sang-Hun will probably be desperate to purchase some from me. We should be able to pay off a portion of the loan with profits from the sale. As for the rest of the debt, we can slowly pay it off after we’ve left and quickly take a foothold in another City. Rumors are also going around that the Martial Alliance Academy will be opening the city soon."
The old man thought for a moment, and he realized his Clan Leader had really thought everything out.
At that moment, a loud whistle was heard coming from over the horizon.
Park Yong and the old man turned to see a streak of silver light quickly approaching their Clan. Soon, the streak stopped above their Pavilion, and a loud voice boomed out.
"Brother Yong, I came to visit!"
Park Yong looked up at the middle-aged man and smiled.
What a coincidence.
"Old fart Sang-Hun, why are you making such a big show of visiting?"
