The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World
Chapter 211 - 208- Taking Back the Yin and Yang Celestial Stones
CHAPTER 211: CHAPTER 208- TAKING BACK THE YIN AND YANG CELESTIAL STONES
"Transforming your thoughts and intent to harm someone into a feeling strong enough to make it have a tangible effect on the outside world, can you imagine the difficulty in learning something like that? It’s slightly different in nature from Sword, Saber, or Blade Intent, as it can only attack one mentally and not physically. But it’s of a similar degree of difficulty to learn. Tell me, did you learn how to use Saber Intent from just seeing it once?"
Mar-Dule shook his head.
"See!"
Dae Han yelled, then jabbed his finger at Sol and said accusingly.
"Imagine if someone saw you use your Saber Intent once and then casually learned it right after. How would you feel? But not only that, imagine if this person’s Saber Intent is even more developed than yours!"
Dae Han seemed as if he were having an existential crisis.
Cheong-Su forced a smile before reaching over to comfort Dae Han.
"Second Brother, it’s okay, don’t feel so upset."
Dae Han clutched Cheong-Su’s robes, and tears welled up in his eyes as he whined.
"Fifth Brother, you don’t understand what it’s like. How can something be so unfair! Seeing something like this, you’ll start thinking to yourself things like ’What’s the point if he’s just going to take everything from me?’ ’Is there even meaning in continuing living?"
Witnessing someone having a mental breakdown was quite hard to watch. The one at fault for this could only watch this scene unfold with a forced smile on his lips.
Sol wanted to apologize, but it might just make things worse.
Yoon-Jae nodded, feeling this was a normal reaction when someone was confronted with an anomaly like Sol. Everyone else had gotten too used to it.
"Well, if it’s like this, then you seem to have the resolve to go through with this."
Byeong-Ho said, and Sol nodded.
Yoon-Jae sighed and said.
"It’s decided how we’re going to get back the Yin and Yang Celestial Stones, but exactly how
are we going to carry out the assassination?"
"I still think this is impossible. If a Spiritual Realm cultivator was easy to assassinate, then they wouldn’t be held in such high regard."
Mar-Dule said worriedly.
While patting Dae Han’s back, Cheong-Su thought for a moment, then said.
"I have a way."
Cheong-Su comforted Dae Han a bit more before he walked toward a table and flipped over his palm. A two-inch clear white bottle with a black top appeared in his hand, which he placed on the table.
Inside this small bottle was a clear liquid. It resembled water, but surely it wasn’t.
After placing the bottle down, Cheong-Su went to say something, but Little Abdu beat him to it.
"Abyssal Poison."
"Poison?"
Yoon-Jae said.
Little Abdu shook his head.
"Not just any Poison, but Abyssal Poison, though it’s quite diluted."
"Little Abdu, what kind of Poison is it?"
"It’s a deadly poison. If it wasn’t so diluted, then this amount would be enough to incapacitate a Transcendent and kill anyone below that Realm."
Sol wasn’t sure how strong a Transcendent was; anything above the Spiritual Realm just blended into two words: Unimaginably Powerful. Even the strength of Spiritual Realm cultivators was quite hard to estimate, which was why he thought of an assassination attempt instead of a direct confrontation with Elder Hyun-Joo. Well, that didn’t mean he wasn’t curious about a direct confrontation.
"Despite it being diluted, it might be able to kill that Elder in three drops."
There were about five drops in the bottle, so it was enough.
"So terrifying."
Mar-Dule was shocked, and so was everyone else.
Yoon-Jae turned to Cheong-Su and asked.
"How did you get something like this? I’ve never heard of a poison being able to kill a Spiritual Realm cultivator so easily. Do you have more?"
"I got it from my Inheritance. Unfortunately, I don’t have any more than this. Like the other Inheritances, most of the resources left behind have been destroyed by time."
It was now that Sol realized he didn’t know what kind of Inheritance Cheong-Su obtained.
It wasn’t mentioned, and he didn’t ask. But because he saw him with a Guqin Innate Dharma later, he thought it was related to music.
"What kind of Inheritance gives out a poison like this?"
Mar-Dule asked, and Little Abdu answered.
"He obtained the Music Immortal’s Inheritance. However, the Music Immortal went by the name Poison Immortal earlier in his life."
Yoon-Jae perked up.
In alchemy, medicine and poison went hand in hand. He couldn’t say he wasn’t curious about this Poison Immortal’s Inheritance.
He walked over to take up the bottle, but as he was about to remove the cover, Little Abdu’s voice warned.
"If you want to kill everyone here, go ahead and open that bottle."
"Fuck! Put it down!!"
Mar-Dule immediately freaked out.
"It’s an airborne poison?"
"No, it’s a liquid form, but even in its diluted liquid state, it’s potent enough to kill you weaklings if you smell it."
"Then how are we supposed to use it?"
Byeong-Ho asked.
"The only one who can use it is Sol. He’s immune to this type of poison."
"He is?"
"I am?"
Yoon-Jae and Sol asked as they looked at Little Abdu.
’Brat, have you ever gotten sick before? Don’t underestimate your constitution. Given your origins, most poisons don’t affect you. Not unless they’re designed specifically to kill your kind.’
Abdu sent Sol a message via Divine Sense.
"Ah, that’s right, I have an immunity to most Poisons."
"Oh, I thought it was a waste at the time, but is that why you didn’t take the Tang Clan’s medicinal pill that gives you immunity to a thousand poisons?"
"Huh? Ah, yes."
Sol nodded like a chicken pecking the ground, but in truth, he was just learning about this himself.
Yoon-Jae gave Sol a skeptical look when he heard his meek response.
To change the topic, Sol said.
"We would need to find a location to carry out the assassination."
"*Sniffle*... I have a place in mind."
Dae Han said as he walked over to the table. Cheong-Su carefully picked up the Abyssal Poison while Dae Han took out a map.
"That greedy City Lord was eager to expand the city, so he destroyed the Mortals’ homes in the outer area and increased the width of the wall. It’s unfortunate, but because of this, there is now an undeveloped area covered in a large forest that has a few mountains within the city borders, we can get to without leaving the walls."
After spreading open the map, Dae Han pointed at a certain location west of the city and continued.
"Here, there’s a secluded valley between two mountains. It’s the perfect distance from the wall and the city itself. There won’t be any Elders patrolling the area either since the Academy has faith in the Grand Formation they’ve placed around the city to keep people from leaving."
Dae Han looked at everyone who gathered around.
"But now the issue is how we will get her there."
"I have a plan."
Sol said as he looked down at the location on the map.
"Little Abdu, compared to the strength of that person’s Divine Sense that was released during the auction and yours, who’s stronger?"
"My Divine Sense might be weak because of my injuries, but it has gone through more transformations than any cultivator on this continent. I doubt someone who obtained theirs in this Spiritual Realm thingy would be able to sense my Divine Sense."
Sol smiled.
Abdu knew where he was getting at without him specifically saying it. Sol raised his hand and rubbed Abdu’s head a bit.
"Then it’s decided, let’s go take back what was stolen from Brother Dae Han."
