The Heartbreak Prescription
My Dad Please Come 1022
Shaun was genuinely happy. He wished he could throw Halsey both a church wedding and a garden ceremony to make Halsey the happiest bride in the world.
Of course, he also wanted to be the happiest groom.
Halsey had actually wanted a church wedding, but now that she was more than five months pregnant, she didn’t want to strain herself with the wedding nning. For now, the baby came first.
She smiled and said, “Let’s just do a small garden ceremony.”
Shaun nodded. “Perfect. I’ll have my people prep for the wedding and order the dress. You’ll be the most beautiful bride ever!”
Halsey hugged Shaun tightly. After such a long love story, they were finally approaching a perfect ending. She rested her head against his chest and whispered, “I love spending every single second with you. You make me so happy.”
Shaun held her close, feeling the same.
The next morning…
Halsey went to Anteoch University. Shaun had already started preparing for the wedding, but her studies couldn’t just stop. Her education had to continue.
When she arrived in ss, Zada Barrett, her close friend, immediately came over. “Morning!”
Halsey smiled. “Morning.”
Zada’s face lit up. “I wanna introduce you to someone.”
Halsey raised an eyebrow. “Who?”
Zada waved. “Sierra,e on out.”
Sierra stepped forward.
Zada linked arms with her. “Halsey, this is my good friend, Sierra Fletcher. I wanted you to meet her, so we can all hang out. Sierra’s studying here, too!”
Sierra looked at Halsey and smiled warmly. “Hi, Halsey. I’m Sierra. I hope we can be good friends.”
She held out her hand for a handshake.
Halsey stared at her. This face waspletely unfamiliar, but something about Sierra felt…strangely familiar.
“Have we met somewhere before? You look really familiar,” Halsey asked.
Zada frowned and turned to Sierra. “Do you know Halseyb?/bb” /b

Sierraughed lightly. b“/bNo. Halsey, bI /bthink you’re mistaken. We’ve never met before! And honestly, with a face as pretty as yours, I’d definitely remember meeting you.”
Halsey tilted her head, still suspicious. “Reallyb?/bb” /b
Sierra withdrew her hand and lowered her head, pretending to be sad. “Are you rejecting me? You don’t wanna be friends?b” /b
Halsey blinked. “Why would you say that?”
Sierra sniffled. “I came from a poor family. My dad gambles and owes a lot of money. Many ssmatesugh at me for my background–they don’t wanna be friends with me. I know they look down on me. Zada is my only friend.”
Then she added, “I heard your family is really rich, that you’re some kind of heiress. bIf /byou look down on me, that’s fine. I’ll stay far away from you… I’ll leave right now!”
Sierra turned and was about to walk away when Zada grabbed her arm. “No, Halsey wouldn’t reject you. She’s really nice! Right, Halseyb?/b”
Halsey still felt that Sierra looked very familiar, but she really couldn’t ce her. The face waspletely new.
Not wanting to hurt Sierra’s feelings, Halsey stepped forward. “You’ve misunderstood. I’m not rejecting you. We’ll be friends from now on.‘
She reached out her hand.
