The Heavens System Subsidiary (I Was Chosen By The Word)
Chapter 46
"Welcome to [Yggdrasil Proto [A]"
////
''[Yggdrasil Proto [A]!'' Vincent thought in excitement.
The created space thrilled Vincent a lot.
He hypothesized that this created space was made to replicate the original Yggdrasil, Or maybe this Yggdrasil was a piece of the original.
As if sensing Vincent''s questions, Instructor Pryde spoke out, " [Yggdrasil Proto [A] was made by our Migas research team, it was based on the study of our ancestors when they tried to replicate the effect of Yggdrasil on a smaller scale."
"Although they had failed, they did succeed in passing their knowledge to future generations."
"After many years, We eventually managed to make [Yggdrasil Proto [A], Technically, [Yggdrasil Proto [A] is more of a magic spell program more than that of a device" he spoke proudly.
It could be seen that Instructor Pryde was like his name proud of this achievement to a great extent.
It was like the pride of something you had done, so Vincent used the small window of chance to further check his [Status] details and found the cause.
Vincent had found out that the last key to cracking [Yggdrasil Proto [A] was done by a Lion Migas scientist, more specifically his grandmother.
Most probably Instructor Pryde''s Pride was that of respect for his ancestor.
"Yggdrasil Proto [A] not only serves as a gateway space to the Blacksmith/Alchemist Room and the Library. It can also serve as a training space for [S-Ranks]"
Instructor Pryde continued to talk about [Yggdrasil Proto[A] until suddenly when Instructor Pryde was speaking he held his tongue.
"Buttttt" he drawled
Vincent eagerly waited for Instructor Pryde to proceed with explaining the workings of [Yggdrasil Proto [A]
"I should stop there, going any further and I''ll be telling you the secret of the space."
Vincent couldn''t help but be disappointed when heard that Instructor Pryde won''t be explaining more.
After that Instructor Pryde began to move towards one of the doors and Vincent was not too far behind.
As Vincent walked through the lands of [Yggdrasil Proto[A] he couldn''t help but just halt his steps, take a deep breath of that clean purified air and look around.
It soothed him when he gazed at the serene land, Looking into the horizon he asked Instructor Pryde a question.
"Instructor"
Instructor Pryde looked at him in confusion on why he called him but either way answered, "Yes, Student Vincent"
"How far does [Yggdrasil Proto [A] reach"
Instructor Pryde took a moment to think before answering, "Around 150-250 miles, I think"
Vincent marveled at the discovery, after staring at the horizon for a while he began to follow instructor Pryde to the two doors standing beside each other.
Instructor Pryde led Vincent to the second door, The one on his right, and explained, "This is the door that leads to the Blacksmith/Alchemist Room", he then pointed to the door on his left, " This door leads to the [S-Rank] section of the library, well the [S-C Rank] section"
"I''m sure that Miss Mai has explained the division of the [S-Rank] section"
''Who''s that.'', he thought in confusion but still replied like he did know "Yes she did"
Instructor Pryde smiled in response and said, "Good, I thought you wouldn''t know that Miss Mai is the Librarian. She doesn''t too much of a presence, hence most students tend to ignore her" he chuckled fondly as he said that.
''So that''s her name.'' Vincent thought in surprise, he then glanced at Instructor Pryde that smiled fondly as he got lost in his thoughts ''but what''s this feeling of fondness I''m getting from instructor Pryde.''
''It can''t be!'' Vincent felt surprised at the thought.
''Well, it''s not my problem either way. But I do need him to lead me.''
So Vincent walked up to Instructor Prude and shouted out to him, "Instructor!, Instructor!, MISTER PRYDE!"
It was until the third time Vincent had called for him before Instructor Pryde had finally answered him
He coughed into his hand as he tried to act as if nothing took place.
He then led Vincent to the Blacksmith/Alchemist Door, opened it, and gestured for Vincent to walk in
Vincent glanced at the smiling instructor pride and the pitch blackness the door had unwrapped too, he suddenly felt that he shouldn''t enter the door anymore
Slightly annoyed with Vincent''s indecisiveness, Instructor Pryde flashed behind Vincent and kicked him into the pitch blackness before he could even react.
As Vincent came into the darkness.
He instantly felt the absence of footing and found himself free-falling into the unknown.
At first, Vincent screamed for a few seconds, then his instincts kicked in.
He turned around from his free-falling position into that of a face-up back down position.
He also noticed the absence of walls to hold onto, erasing most of his plans with it.
But he got an idea.
He hoped that his high proficiency of 8 out of 15 in his Ether control would be enough for his plan.
Summoning Ether from within him and projecting it out of his hands in the form of a green orb.
He controlled the orb to fall with him at a pace faster than his.
When it reached a considerable distance that wasn''t out of his range, with his (8/15) in [Ether Control] his range was quite large.
He wielded his link to the ether orb and molded the orb to spread to mimic the shape of a blanket.
After molding, he stopped the blanket from falling and waited for the hard part.
He hoped the blanket would hold.
He also wished that the ether blanket was as soft as an original one.
Vincent saw as he approached the ether blanket and noticed that he was falling too fast, "Damn it, At this rate, I''ll hit the blanket too hard."
''What can I use to lower my speed'' he began to think
Then another idea came, ''Wait!... Yes this could work''
Flipping to an Ir@nM@n position, he led his [Fire Affinity Ether] to gush out his hands.
Flames burst out and provided the propulsion he needed to slow himself down.
But he noticed that his ether dropping and decided that his current speed was enough so he cut off his [Fire Thrusters] and let himself freefall in his former position and prayed for it to work
Vincent''s plan…..was a success.
Though he did land a little bit harshly on the hovering either blanket at least didn''t fall off or even through.
Noticing the feeling of solidness below him, Vincent opened his clenched eyes and noticed he landed on the ether blanket.
He then let out a breath of relief and made himself comfortable on the blanket then molded it into a carpet instead to save either.
When he was about to lead the ether carpet upwards. Unexpectedly, the pitch darkness cleared revealing the smiling faces of Instructor Pryde and a group of other people.
At first, Vincent was confused then it hit him, "This was all a test wasn''t it" he said with annoyance evident.
Instructor Pryde gave a broader smile and replied, "Come, Let me introduce you to the chiefs of the Blacksmith and Alchemist rooms respectively"
Vincent didn''t comment on the obvious evasion of the subject but just mumbled to himself, "Note to self, Instructor Pryde should not be trusted"
Instructor Pryde''s smile just twitched in response and became slightly more…..threatening.
Catching sight of the wavering emotions of Instructor Pryde, Vincent hastily sped past him and shouted out, "Come on let''s not keep them waiting"
"Tch, Bratty students" Instructor pride grumbled to himself and then strode after Vincent
