CHAPTER 144: REGISTRATION

"What the fuck?! Is that a castle?!" Kai’s neck was nearly strained from how high he had to look up. The Hero Academy wasn’t your typical school; it was a full-on, massive castle. The place dwarfed the Royal Academy, and that school was large in its own right.

It wasn’t just the school that was massive, but the land it was on as well. The main building was the castle, but the entire school campus was larger than any college campus back on Earth. It was as if an entire city was made for a school.

"Are you sure we’re in the right place? Cause this looks more like the Royal Castle than the Hero Academy."

Janna chuckled with a cute smile. "Of course, we’re in the right place. I go here after all. Come, let’s get you inside."

The inside was even more impressive than Kai had imagined. Tons of students were walking around dressed in their uniforms. Papers were flying around the school, clearly controlled by magic that slipped into students’ textbooks, binders, or into their hands.

A group of students was patrolling the area in case of any conflict arising. Stairs shifted, going from one area to the next. It was a full-on magical fantasy school.

"What in the Harris Porter is this?" Kai muttered to himself.

"Harris Porter? The founder of the Hero Academy?" Janna asked

"What?"

"The founder." She said again. "You were talking about him, right?"

"Yeah, sure. I bet he also went on a journey to find fantastic beasts, huh?" He joked.

"Actually, that was his mentor."

"And we’re done talking about that."

Janna led Kai to the front office, passing many students who looked their way multiple times. Some even stopped to talk with Kai to know who he was, while others tried to get him to join their clubs.

It wasn’t just girls, either. Some of the boys saw him walking, and after spotting a muscular 6’5 man, they knew he would be an amazing addition to their martial arts club or whatever club they wanted him to join.

"Sorry about that, everyone gets excited when new students arrive."

He smiled. "It’s alright. I can understand their excitement."

After reaching the front desk, Janna rang a bell to call one of the administrators.

"Coming!" A beautiful woman walked out of a room holding a few books to her chest and set them down on the desk as she looked up to see who rang the bell.

"How may I help you today? Oh, Janna? What brings you...here?" The moment she looked at Kai, her heart started thumping hard.

’Holy mother of Gracia! What brings this hottie here?’ She thought to herself, adjusting her hair, clothing, and demeanor to appear more attractive.

"Hello there, handsome, are you here for something?" She asked, leaning forward to show off her cleavage.

Kai, on the other hand, didn’t pay her any mind. She was definitely attractive, but he wasn’t going to play her games.

"I’d like to register for the Hero Academy, ma’am." He said respectfully.

’Ma’am? He didn’t even look at me! Am I that unattractive? Dammit! What am I doing? Trying to seduce a boy half my age. Sigh, get it together, you wont get married at this point.’ She reorganized herself and handed Kai a sheet of paper.

"Please fill this form out. After that, I’ll escort you to the area where the practical exams take place."

Kai was handed a pen and started to fill out the information. A lot of it was basic information like his name, age, hometown, and if he had any other references for work/education or a sponsor.

He filled out all of the information with ease and listed his work as a Primal Hunter and an S-Rank Adventurer, both of them being the highest ranks of the occupation. After that, he was asked if he knew his mana level, and he wrote Tier-10. Once he finished, he handed the paper to the lady.

She looked at it, then looked back at Kai. She continued this action for a bit before speaking up.

"Are you sure this information is correct?" She asked.

"Yes, why?"

"Because we have a lot of scammers who try to get into the academy. Trust me when I say that it’s not as easy as it sounds. You have to be a certain age, have a certain power level, and have a certain amount of knowledge and experience to even be CONSIDERED an applicant."

"I can vouch for him." Janna stepped up. "Bandits were attacking my mother and me, and he saved us. We also tested his power, and it was what he wrote down. I swear on my family’s name and honor that he isn’t lying about that."

Kai also pulled out his license for further proof.

’What the hell?! An 18-year-old with this kind of power?! Was he sent here by the goddess or something?!’

She wasn’t entirely wrong.

"O-Okay. Let me put this into our system real quick, and I’ll be back to guide you to the practical area. May I have your license to confirm that it is indeed yours?"

"Sure." Kai nodded.

"And this is where we part ways. I’ll see you around." Janna hugged Kai and turned to leave.

Before she did, he gave her one good slap on the ass. She yelped, froze, then turned around with an embarrassed expression. After pouting, she ran away.

’Heh, fine ass.’

"Alright, I’m back. Here you go, and please follow me." The lady led Kai to the academy’s practical exam area, where tons of people were trying out to make it into the school.

While they were walking, Kai watched her hips sway from side to side, her ass jiggling with each step, and tried his best to resist the urge to slap it.

The lady, on the other hand, happened to spot Kai looking at her in one of the passing mirrors on the wall and blushed slightly.

’He’s looking at my ass! Does he find me attractive? He has to, right? Should I stop him? What? No! Why would I do that?! Yes, keep watching me. Keep watching my fat ass sway before your eyes. What the hell am I saying?’

After a minute of walking, they arrived at the testing area.
