CHAPTER 149: KAI VERSUS ALLEN...KIND OF

All of Kai’s girls got extremely annoyed at this random ass guy challenging him. Sure, they knew Kai would absolutely mop the floor with him, but they were still protective of their man.

"Listen here, you twig arm bastard! How dare you challenge Kai, especially when we’re on a date! Do you have no shame?"

"Right! Like, go somewhere else with that shit! We’re eating and enjoying ourselves. We don’t want that to be ruined by you."

"Vanessa doesn’t want you, lil bro, move on.’

Kai looked at Sasha like a deer in headlights. ’When the fuck did Sasha start talking like that? Is she reincarnated, too?’

"I-I have to win back Vanessa!" Allen stood his ground, but was clearly second-guessing himself.

"Ugh, Allen, just leave. I don’t want to hang out with you." Vanessa waved Allen off, not even caring to look at him.

"Alright." Kai finally spoke up. "You wanna duel? We can duel. When and where?"

"R-Right now. There is an open field not too far from here."

"Okay."

"Kai."

"Really, babe?"

His girls started to complain, but he reassured them. "Don’t worry, girls, I’ll be back soon."

"I wanna watch." Amaya followed them.

"Same." Kyana joined.

Then, all six of them got up to follow Kai and Allen.

---

Once they made it to the open field, Allen drew his sword, channeling his mana into his blade and calming his mind. He focused on Kai and came up with many scenarios to beat him.

’Once I beat him, I’ll earn Vanessa back!’ He beamed on the inside and couldn’t wait to get his girl back.

"You liked that guy?" Gwen asked Vanessa, who was clearly uninterested in the guy.

"Sort of, but not really. We’ve been friends for a while, and he had a crush on me. I’m more into taller and stronger guys, but Allen was always there, so I gave him a shot. He’s definitely not a bad boyfriend, but he’s not my type either. I planned on breaking up with him, but then I met Kai, and well, the rest is history. As for why he’s still trying to earn my affection, we technically didn’t break up, but I’m definitely doing it after this."

"Good for you, girl. Kai is the best." Gwen nodded.

Kai had his hands in his pockets, not taking the matter seriously.

"Draw your weapon," Allen demanded

"You’re looking at it. This 6’5 piece of greatness standing before you is my weapon."

"F-Fine. Vanessa, can you tell us when to go?"

"Whatever. Warriors, ready your weapons. 3...2...1...Let the battle begin. Kai, beat his ass!"

Allen charged at Kai, his sword beaming with mana and his mind focused on one goal. He was the best swordsman in his class and was swiftly moving up the ranks. He was confident that he could beat Kai.

"Haaa! Take this!" He swung his sword down, and it broke against Kai’s head.

"W-What the-"

Kai flicked Allen’s chest, breaking his bones, and sent him flying so far that he lost track of him.

"Damn. I didn’t think he would be knocked away that far." He shrugged. "Whatever. Let’s go back now."

---

"Okay, everyone! Huddle up!"

Kai, Gwen, Amaya, Sasha, Kyana, Nadya, and Vanessa all huddled together in a circle, holding each other’s arms, and their heads bounced off one another.

"Today is the day we enter the academy! We need to look like badasses. Any suggestions?" Kai asked. "Gwen, you go first, and we’ll circle around."

"Okay, hear me out. How about we all arrive late and descend from the sky like badasses!"

Kai nodded. "That sounds cool, but if we arrive late on our first day, we could be kicked out."

"Shit, I didn’t think of that."

"It’s okay. What about you, Amaya?"

"I think we should show off our carriage and how it functions without a coachman! Then, we’ll jump off like badasses and strike poses!"

"Hmm. But a lot of people have flying carriages. I don’t think we’d stand out too much." Kai responded.

"Hmph, whatever."

Sasha spoke up next. "What if we just arrive at the school normally. We’ll already stand out because of our performance and our looks; people will go crazy just by looking at us."

"You know, that’s not a bad Idea. That’s being added to the list. Okay, Kyana, you’re next."

"I say we arrive with a bang! You can use teleportation magic, right? How about you put on a little light show with your magic, teleport us to the school, and when everyone is wondering what’s going on, we appear from the chaos like gods in the sky and descend to the ground."

"Quick! Write that down! That was fucking epic! Good work! This is why you get paid the big bucks!" Kai leaned over to kiss her while the others grumbled.

"Hehe, thanks."

"U-Um, I think Kyana’s entrance is cool. But to add on to it, maybe add a lot of magic circles in the air?" Nadya suggested.

"That’s actually really awesome! Good idea! Vanessa, what about you?"

"Okay, so let’s do what Kyana and Nadya suggested, but instead of flying down to the ground, make stairs of mana for us to walk on leading to the ground."

"Holy shit! That’s what I’m talking about! Good shit, Vanessa! Alright, you guys, get ready, it’s time to show off how cool we are!"

"Yeahhh!"

---

The Hero Academy was a place for only the best of the best, and the number of students reflected that, still, with few students compared to the Royal Academy, the Hero Academy still had thousands of people attending it.

People aged 18 and up were seen passing through the gates, showing their identification, and meeting up with friends. Some went straight to their classes, while others stayed behind to chat before classes started.

"Hey, did you hear about the new student who’s joining the academy?"

"Yeah. I heard he’s a hottie as well. Maybe we’re in the same class."

"I might break up with my boyfriend just to be with him."

"Bro, did you see those girls two days ago? They were the most beautiful women I’d ever seen before!"

"I know! I plan on asking the Elf out."

"That’s why you have flowers and chocolate?"

"Y-Yes."

"My man! She’s definitely going to say yes to a good-looking guy like you."

Many students were talking about Kai and his girls, all of them excited to see them again. But as they were chatting away, the ground started to rumble and the sky turned dark.

"W-What’s going on?"

"Are we under attack?!"

Then, the instructors came outside along with the Headmaster.

"Students! Be careful. We do not know the cause of these tremors, so we advise you all to head inside."

Right as he finished his sentence, hundreds of magic circles appeared in the air, some lighting, others fire, and many others were different elements and magical spells.

The Academy staff prepared themselves for an attack, but instead of shooting downward at them, the magic circles shot upward, creating the most beautiful fireworks anyone had ever seen in their life.

The sky split open, and seven beings, one man and six women, teleported into the sky, the energy coming off them unmatched. Misty white mana rolled from the air all the way to the ground, morphing into white misty stairs.

"We have arrived!" Kai announced with his voice being amplified by magic.

The seven of them walked down the stairs, Gwen and Amaya in the front, Kai, Sasha, and Kyana in the middle, both girls holding Kai’s arms, and Nadya and Vanessa in the back.

They looked like gods descending from the heavens as they walked toward the earth. Everyone was too shocked to say anything. By this point, they knew who was walking down the stairs, but they were taken aback by their entrance and looks.

Once they reached the final step, the silence finally broke.

"Kyaaa! He’s so hot!"

"He’s looking at me! I think he’s looking at me!"

"T-That’s her, man. I gotta ask her out!"

"B-Bro, she’s holding his arm. Maybe don’t do that."

As everyone began to chatter and pile around them, Kai and his girls continued to walk inside the building with a crowd of people chasing after them.
