CHAPTER 424: ABSOLUTE DOMINANCE

The hours passed, word got around, and it was time to duel Brimous. One thing that Kai learned while speaking with others is that this institute goes on until a student is twenty-five. While they can graduate early, the majority of people don’t.

Everyone was excited to see the idiot who challenged Brimous to a duel. Students who have been at this institute for a while knew how he was and know what happened to the people he got into a duel with.

All of them left with something broken, whether it be their mind, body, or pride.

By chance, Kai heard that after beating up one of his challengers to a bloody pulp, Brimous fucked the guy’s girlfriend in the guy’s room on his bed. Then, he got the girl pregnant and forced the guy to take care of the child.

Every now and then, the girlfriend and Brimous meet up to have sex in the guy’s house, even when he’s there.

Kai would have wanted to become best friends with a guy like that, but since he challenged him to a duel, he wasn’t interested in being Brimous’s friend anymore.

"Kai, do you know where you’re going?" Karumi asked

"No, I do not." Kai was lost. No one told him where the dueling area was.

"It’s only his first day! Why is he getting in dules already? Ughhh!" Charlotte was attending the duel to see Kai in action. She was confident that he would win, but she didn’t know how to handle the discourse around it.

Also, she wondered if Kai knew that Brimous was the attendant of the prince. If he did, then she expected Kai to forfeit because it would be tough dealing with the royal family. Still, this could be a blow to the second prince’s faction, and she wanted to see that in action.

"Start the duel already!"

"Where is he?"

"Is he scared?"

"Hahahahaha! Chicken!"

"Waste of my time."

Brimous smirked. "I knew that bastard was all talk."

"What was his name again?" A man with white hair and blue eyes asked. He was the second prince of the kingdom.

"Kai. No last name. Jace told me that he is the attendant of Lady Charlotte, Prince Philip."

"Hmm. Well, if this, Kai, fellow shows up, make sure to crush him."

"You don’t need to tell me that, your highness."

In the stands, Charlotte was starting to get worried. It had already been thirty minutes since Kai was supposed to be here, and his face hadn’t been seen since he left the attendant’s room.

"Kai! Where are you?" She asked, biting your nails.

"Worried about your attendant?" Yulia sat next to her, not as friends, but to be spiteful and annoying.

"Leave me alone."

"Your attendant is very handsome, but it seems that he’s a coward. How can a coward protect you if you’re in danger? Or is it that the Nord family is too broke to hire anyone who wouldn’t bail on them at a moment’s notice?"

Charlotte wanted to rip Yulia’s mouth apart, but she endured the harassment.

"I’m here! I’m here! Sorry, I’m late. It’s my first day, and no one told me where this place is. I had to look all around just to find this area." Kai said as he walked into the dueling grounds.

"About damn time you showed up. I was starting to think that you were—"

"Shut the hell up and let’s get this over with. You talk a lot. I’m surprised you can get bitches."

Brimous nearly lost it, but he calmed himself down.

"So you’re Kai." Philip said with a smile.

Kai looked the man up and down, not knowing who he was or why the guy was approaching him.

"Who the fuck are you?"

Gasps were heard all throughout the crowd

Philip’s eyebrow twitched from anger, but he didn’t let it bother him. "I’m Philip Veston Vanaheim."

"Oh. You’re the prince, huh? That’s cool. Anyway, Brimous, I’m going to make you with you had never messed with me." Kai said, ignoring the prince.

There was a circular stone slab with carvings on it that acted as the platform where the duel would take place. Once both contestants stood on it, a barrier would be created around them to prevent any harm from coming toward the onlookers.

Philip was extremely angry and felt humiliated by Kai’s actions, wanting to kill the guy himself. As a prince, he had never been treated this way by someone who didn’t have the status to ignore him.

"Brimous, kill that bastard," Philip ordered him.

"With pleasure, your highness." Brimous stepped onto the platform.

"I commend you for not backing out at the last moment, but that wont change anything. In fact, you’re going to wish that—OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!"

Kai clobbered the guy in the face, watching as he bounced around the barrier like a pinball.

"I thought this was a battle of strength, not words. What the fuck are you doing talking to me right now?" Kai asked with a maniacal smile on his face.

"Y-You bastard! You hit me with I was off guard!"

"The moment you stepped onto the platform, the duel began. Besides, if this were a real fight, you would have been dead by now!"

"I’ll make you swallow your arrogance! DRAGON FIST!" Brimous charged at Kai, condensing his mana into his arm, which created a silhouette of a dragon as he punched at him.

It was an extremely powerful attack for someone of his skill level. Kai understood how he would be able to beat anyone of his peers. But to him, this was nothing.

Brimous’s hand was caught by Kai’s own with ease, no damage being done to his hand at all

"Wow! Was that all? Very...unimpressive!" Kai twisted Brimous’s arm, cracking his bones, causing him to scream, then palmed his chest, blasting the guy into the barrier while ripping off his arm.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

"Didn’t you say that you would beat my ass? Show me why you’re the top dog? Well, let me tell you something. The top dog doesn’t need to tell others why he’s the top dog."

Brimous didn’t respond and continued to cry in pain.

"Oh, right, that must hurt. Here, let me give you a hand." Kai wacked Brimous across the face with his own arm.

"Haha! How does it feel to get slapped by your own hand? Weird, isn’t it?" Kai slapped him with his own arm again, again, and again."
