CHAPTER 135: DANIEL’S ANGER AND HATRED

This is insane! Is this really the power of the Singularity of Chaos? How can this be possible? Can a mere being truly wield such power?

Floating in the sky, Malverna stared at the distant scene, her face twisted in horror and fear.

Even from a kilometer away, she could see everything with startling clarity.

A massive black hole was devouring everything within a fifty-kilometer radius—houses, buildings, trees, even the earth itself was being torn from the ground and pulled into the void.

And yet, Nolan remained kind and considerate—he hadn’t harmed a single innocent.

They lay safely within the protection of a magic circle. Still... the sight was terrifying.

Beside her, Arnold watched the destruction unfold, his eyes filled with awe and madness.

To him, his Lord was the most powerful being in the world. Yet, because that power was rarely revealed, witnessing a scene like this was nearly a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Fifteen minutes passed in a blur. And in that short span, the once-bustling and beautiful capital city of Halveran had been reduced to ruins.

Entire districts—homes, hotels, inns, and more—had vanished. The ground had caved in, leaving behind a massive crater two meters deep.

It might not seem very deep, but when a two-meter-deep crater spans the size of an entire capital city... it’s terrifying.

Atop the massive crater, countless humans lay unconscious—tens of millions of them.

And yet, not a single one of them bore even a scratch. Despite the black hole’s terrifying pull, they remained completely unharmed.

Even now, Nolan knew his limits—he would never harm the innocent.

Although the capital had been reduced to a massive crater, the Empire’s golden palace still stood—just barely. It was nothing more than a faded echo of its former glory.

In the courtyard of the shattered palace, Daniel, Carmilla, Rebecca, Erald, and a few lucky surviving soldiers lay unconscious.

But then, Daniel stirred. His head throbbed violently as he slowly pushed himself upright—only to freeze at the sight before him: destruction stretching as far as the eye could see.

The capital city of Halveran had once spanned more than three thousand square kilometers, filled with thousands of buildings—houses, hotels, churches, and more.

It had been home to over seventy million people. But now... nothing remained.

There were no buildings, no towering walls guarding the capital—everything had vanished.

A fresh wave of dizziness hit him, and he collapsed once more, helpless.

"How is this possible? Why... why is it like this?!" he roared, like a man driven to madness.

The Holy Empire of Valtanir had stood strong for centuries, reigning as the dominant power on the continent. Naturally, Daniel had grown up proud—and arrogant.

To him, no threat could ever touch his family—let alone bring down the Empire.

They had the Sky Wings Knights, the most powerful army in the world. And more importantly, they had his father—the Singularity of Light.

With such strength behind it, Daniel believed the Holy Empire of Valtanir would stand eternal—destined to become the continent’s only true superpower.

Yet the sight before him shattered that illusion in an instant.

The capital, once the final stronghold of the Holy Empire, had crumbled into nothingness.

It was undeniable proof that the empire he once took pride in was fragile—and weak.

Subconsciously, he looked up at the sky—and froze. His eyes widened in horror.

Hovering above was a man clad in a black cloak. His tall, well-built frame radiated power, but his face was hidden behind a mask, concealing his identity.

"Is that... the Singularity of Chaos?" Daniel’s heart pounded.

If there was one figure he feared above all, it was him.

Even his father had always warned him never to provoke such a being. And now, that very figure had appeared in the heart of Halveran.

There was no doubt—this destruction was his doing.

Fear surged through him—but just as quickly, it was swallowed by a wave of anger. Gritting his teeth, Daniel forced himself to his feet and raised a trembling hand toward the figure above.

"Singularity of Chaos! What is the meaning of this? Why are you doing this!?" He shouted, his voice echoing across the ruins.

From that distance, Daniel couldn’t be sure if his voice had reached him.

But it didn’t matter—the Singularity of Chaos turned to him and responded in a voice only he could hear.

"Do you think... I need a reason to destroy what I desire?"

The arrogant words caught Daniel off guard. His anger flared once more—his breathing grew ragged, and his body trembled with rage.

He hadn’t expected such a damnable response. It was utterly unacceptable.

Through clenched teeth, he shouted back, "There’s an agreement among the Singularities—not to interfere in the affairs of Empires or Kingdoms on this continent! Anyone who breaks it will be punished by the others!"

"And now, you’ve broken that agreement! Prepare to face the consequences!"

To preserve stability across the continent, the Singularities were strictly forbidden from meddling in the political or military affairs of any nation.

It made sense—considering their power could level an empire in seconds or even rip the continent apart.

But despite the threat, the Singularity of Chaos remained unfazed. Instead, he let out a mocking laugh.

"I didn’t expect such hypocritical words from you, Daniel Everlain. You’ve always hidden behind your father’s title—the Singularity of Light—to suppress other nations, including the Great Velmora Empire."

"Do you remember your threat to Velmora over the city of Tashuk? No? Then let me remind you... Shall I?"

A cold chill shot down Daniel’s spine. His face turned pale.

As humiliating as it was, he knew the Singularity of Chaos was right.

In every matter he couldn’t handle alone, Daniel had invoked his father’s name. That status had always given him an unfair advantage.

That was why he—and the Holy Empire of Valtanir—had always acted with impunity on this continent, even going so far as to suppress the mighty Velmora Empire.

But now, Daniel took a sharp breath and forced himself to calm down.

It was a bitter truth, but one he couldn’t deny: his capital lay in ruins.

And he wasn’t about to stand by and let the Singularity of Chaos walk away without taking responsibility.

He pointed at the masked figure and snapped, "I don’t care about any of that! What matters now is how you plan to take responsibility! If you refuse, I’ll report this to my father—and the other Singularities will make you pay!"

"Pfft..." The Singularity of Chaos chuckled softly and shook his head. "Do you think I’m afraid? Among all the Singularities, I am the strongest. None of them would dare lift a hand against me."

Daniel’s throat tightened at the answer. But before he could respond, the masked figure spoke again—this time in a voice cold enough to freeze blood.

"And for the record... I had a reason for doing all this. It’s all because of your foolish father."
