CHAPTER 74: CHAPTER 70: I HAVE A NAME

Top floor of No. 9 Club.

When Qiao Yuxian arrived, many people were standing outside the compartment.

She walked closer, and the people outside made way for her.

The person closest to the door said, "The doorknob is blocked from the inside. It won’t open."

Qiao Yuxian didn’t say anything, and went straight to the door and knocked, saying, "Qiao Lechu, it’s me. Qiao Yuxian."

There was no response from inside.

Qiao Yuxian glanced at Liu Zhou.

Liu Zhou nodded and had everyone on the top floor leave.

He also instructed them to clear out the entire No. 9 Club.

All information was sealed, not a word could get out.

Only Gu Yanjing and Qiao Yuxian were left on the top floor.

Qiao Yuxian knocked lightly on the door again, saying, "Lechu, open the door, it’s me. There’s no one else outside."

Still no sound from inside.

Qiao Yuxian took a deep breath, placing her hand on the doorknob: "Lechu, come out, we’re going home, they’re waiting for us at home."

There was no movement at all.

Qiao Yuxian clenched her fingers, took two steps back, and suddenly kicked the door with great force.

She moved so quickly that Gu Yanjing didn’t have time to stop her.

The entire door shook, making the sound of cracking wood, and something blocking it from behind made a noise.

Qiao Yuxian was about to kick a second time.

But as she raised her foot, Gu Yanjing pulled her to the side.

She stumbled two steps sideways, and in her daze, Gu Yanjing lifted his foot and kicked the door.

So aloof and dignified, yet when he kicked, it was with immense strength.

A loud noise ensued, and the entire door fell down.

Because something was propping it up at the entrance, the door didn’t collapse but leaned askew on it.

Qiao Yuxian was taken aback for a moment, glanced at Gu Yanjing, and immediately entered the room.

Seeing her enter, Gu Yanjing waited outside the door for a while.

Not until he heard another girl’s voice inside, confirming everyone was okay, did he walk a bit farther away, refraining from listening to their conversation.

Qiao Yuxian entered the room, spotting Qiao Lechu curled up in a corner against the wall.

Her gaze fell on her, and she stood frozen for a moment.

Qiao Lechu sat on the ground hugging her knees. Perhaps the door-kicking noise was too loud, she looked up at the doorway with frightened panic.

Her hair was messy, a slap mark puffed high on her left cheek. Her mouth was split, the dried blood surrounding it, and the wound swollen.

Her eyes were swollen, with tears still clinging to her eyelashes.

On her right side, lower down her hips, was a tear on her pants where she kept pressing with her hand.

Her upper body was clad only in underwear.

Her shoulders were bruised, with rope marks on her arms.

Seeing it was Qiao Yuxian, Qiao Lechu shrank in the corner in a daze, and suddenly tears began to fall: "Sis."

Qiao Yuxian immediately went forward, squatted down, and hugged her tightly: "It’s okay, it’s okay. We’re going home."

"Sis." Qiao Lechu buried her face in her shoulder, clutching her clothing tightly, and her suppressed sobs soon filled the entire room.

She couldn’t say anything, crying until she trembled, repeating only the word "Sis."

Qiao Yuxian gently patted her back, responding softly each time.

After nearly half an hour, Qiao Lechu sobbed beyond exhaustion and gradually grew silent.

Liu Zhou had clothes ready outside.

Qiao Yuxian fetched the clothes and helped Qiao Lechu change. She also put a mask on her to cover her facial injuries.

Qiao Lechu seemed in a daze, occasionally sniffling. Qiao Yuxian wiped her tears, smoothed her hair, and gently said, "Shall we go home? Dad and Auntie are waiting for us."

Qiao Lechu nodded slightly with her head down.

Qiao Yuxian helped her up: "Can you walk?"

"Yes."

"The people outside are on my side." Qiao Yuxian reminded her, "Want to see them?"

Qiao Lechu whispered, "I’m fine."

Leaving the compartment, Qiao Lechu kept her head down.

Besides encountering Gu Yanjing and Liu Zhou outside, she saw no one else until getting into the car.

Qiao Yuxian instinctively got into Gu Yanjing’s car. It wasn’t until Gu Yanjing opened the driver’s door that she realized and said, "Mr. Gu, let Liu Zhou drive you back. I’ll drive us home."

Gu Yanjing glanced back at her, then directly sat in the driver’s seat, closed the door, fastened his seatbelt, and said coldly, "I don’t want a traffic ticket."

Qiao Yuxian: "....... I can have someone else drive."

She tried arguing back.

Gu Yanjing ignored her and started the car.

Qiao Yuxian stopped talking. Feeling Qiao Lechu hold onto her hand, she immediately returned the grip, moving closer to her side.

And once held, Qiao Lechu didn’t let go the entire journey.

Arriving at the Qiao Family’s home, Chen Hui heard the gate and ran out directly.

Seeing Qiao Lechu, she burst into tears: "Lechu."

"Auntie," Qiao Yuxian said, "let’s go inside first."

"Alright, alright." Chen Hui supported Qiao Lechu. Although masked, she immediately spotted the injuries on her face. She choked back a sob and forced herself to swallow it, saying to Qiao Yuxian, "Thank you, Yu Xian."

"It’s okay."

Inside the villa, they supported Qiao Lechu straight to her room.

In the room, seeing Qiao Lechu’s injuries, Chen Hui was speechless through her tears.

But she kept holding Qiao Lechu, patting her head, silently comforting her.

Qiao Yuxian, seeing the mother and daughter embracing, didn’t stay long in the room and quietly closed the door.

Once outside the room, glancing downstairs.

She saw Gu Yanjing seated on the living room sofa, across from him... was Qiao Zhiang with reddened eyes, looking awkward and helpless.

Gu Yanjing was as calm and cold as always, even his phoenix eyes reflected a touch of indifference.

His presence always carried the aura of someone in power.

Just sitting there, he exuded an air of owning the entire world.

Causing little Qiao Zhiang across from him, though in his own home, to shrink into a feeling of being in someone else’s house.

Neither spoke, just staring at each other.

Qiao Yuxian stood observing for a while.

Not until she felt if she didn’t intervene soon, Qiao Zhiang might cry until fainting, did she come downstairs and say, "Zhiang, go call Dad and tell him Lechu is home."

Upon hearing her voice, Qiao Zhiang immediately stood, ran to Qiao Yuxian, and clutched her pants, blocking Gu Yanjing’s view of him.

Qiao Yuxian bent down, wiping the moisture from the corner of his eyes, saying, "Your sister is fine, don’t worry. Go call Dad."

Qiao Zhiang looked up at her.

Qiao Yuxian patted his head again: "Go on."

Qiao Zhiang went to the side hall to make the call.

Qiao Yuxian walked toward Gu Yanjing, stood in front of him, looking down, and said, "Mr. Gu, can you find a discreet and trustworthy doctor to come?"

Gu Yanjing looked up at her, not speaking, but immediately took out his phone and made a call.

He said only two phrases.

The Qiao family’s address and...

"Come immediately."

Then he hung up.

Qiao Yuxian smiled, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Gu."

Gu Yanjing looked at her, at her seemingly insincere smile, and after a pause said, "I do have a name."

Qiao Yuxian was stunned, then smiled again. She knelt down, crossing her hands and resting her head on them on Gu Yanjing’s knee, closing her eyes, "Thank you, Gu Yanjing."
