CHAPTER 79: CHAPTER 79: THE OLD LADY (PART 1)

The number of people getting off at this station was quite large, plus those girls were standing there not moving, making the ones getting off a bit impatient.

People getting on also wanted to squeeze in, as Lin Xiaoyan saw the crowd thinning a bit, she hastily supported an elderly lady nearby and led her out.

"Let me help you out."

The elderly lady said joyfully, "Thank you."

However, the moment Lin Xiaoyan held the elderly lady’s arm, a familiar vision appeared...

Lin Xiaoyan, supporting the elderly lady, was stiffly pushed out of the subway by the stream of people.

This elderly lady seemed to be about sixty or seventy years old, and her body appeared quite strong.

At the police station

Yi Bian excitedly grabbed his notebook and rushed to the office.

Everybody in the office turned to look at Yi Bian at the door upon hearing this.

He Qi’an wasn’t at the police station, he was still wrapping things up in Yun Province.

Ma Yi waved at Yi Bian, "Come over here, what did Xiao Lin say?"

Yi Bian walked over and repeated what Lin Xiaoyan had just said.

After hearing it, Ma Yi’s brows furrowed, he stood up first, "You two, come with me."

"Zhang Ming, contact the traffic team, looking for the whereabouts of the elderly lady."

"Yes!"

Ma Yi picked up his gear, thought for a moment, "You all gear up fully to prevent getting bitten, Ning Xuan go get the big net, Xiao Ding take the stun baton..."

"Yes!"

The auxiliary police on the side shook their head, "I’ve said it countless times, walk your dog with a leash to prevent accidents, sigh~"

"Exactly, once an accident happens, it affects so many innocent dogs, as well as innocent dog owners..."

Huanghai Road was just two traffic lights away from their police station.

When Captain Ma and his team drove out in the police car, they happened to see Lin Xiaoyan opening the store door.

Upon hearing the siren, Lin Xiaoyan turned to look and saw Captain Ma sitting inside the police car.

She waved to them with a smile and pointed in the direction of Huanghai Road.

Captain Ma nodded, indicating he understood.

The police car sped towards Huanghai Road.

Lin Xiaoyan suddenly remembered something, she hurriedly sent the photo she had just snapped to Captain Ma, telling him that this was the elderly lady.

Captain Ma saw the photo Lin Xiaoyan sent, recognizing her clothes and hairstyle even though it was just a back view.

He replied with an "ok" to Lin Xiaoyan and then showed the photo to Ning Xuan at the back, asking him to keep an eye out for the elderly lady.

Watching the disappearing police car, Lin Xiaoyan turned, continued to open the door, swiftly entered her workspace to change into her work uniform, and began today’s tasks.

The elderly lady was humming a tune as she walked towards the riverside park.

She had arranged to meet her friends at half-past eight, it was still early, she couldn’t sleep at home, so she decided to come early.

Upon entering the small park, since it was still early, there were only one or two people jogging scattered around.

The elderly lady leisurely strolled, breathing in the fresh morning air, contemplating whether to come early in the future for some Tai Chi exercise...

Behind her, a man’s loud shout broke the silence of the little park.

"Woof woof... Woof woof..."

Several people in the park turned to the source of the sound and saw two large and mighty dogs galloping rapidly in the park.

The two large dogs stood about the height of half an adult, with a massive build, one of which looked very fierce.

Seeing these dogs, the elderly lady glanced at the young man chasing them with a phone recording, holding tightly. She frowned.

"These dogs are so big, why aren’t they on leashes? What if something happens?"

The elderly lady’s voice was neither too loud nor too soft, but in the empty park, everyone heard it.

The joggers stopped, frowning as they criticized the dog-walking man.

"Large dogs must be leashed, don’t you know? Do you have a dog license? Keeping such large dogs, and two!"

The elderly lady was quite angered, but seeing the man ignoring her, running to chase the dogs, she held back her anger and walked to other areas.
