?Chapter 1487:

Corrine sighed, a bit resigned. “It sounds like you’ve already set everything up. Why ask me now?”

“Because you’re the face of the studio and the one who brings in the money,” Karina said with augh. “I’m just following protocol.”

    “Fine. Do what you want.”

    “Got it.”

After ending the call, Corrine focused on the road ahead.

As she overtook another vehicle, Moses spotted her car and quickly rolled down his window to greet her.

But Corrine, focused and unfazed, drove past without so much as a sideways nce.

“Such a temper,” Moses muttered to himself, a bit taken aback.

“Didn’t you provoke her?” Zack, riding with him, quipped, lifting an eyebrow. “I still don’t understand why you brought up that topic out of the blue.”

Nate wasn’t ying around when it came to Corrine. Their marriage was all but sealed. Even the Hopkins family kept quiet. And if anyone dared to speak up, Nate would find a way to silence them.

The thought left Moses irritated. “I was only trying to keep Nate from rushing into something he might regret.”

His well-meaning caution had only managed to alienate both Nate and Corrine, who hadn’t spoken to him since.

Clearly, they were united. The two of them stood firmly on the same side.

“Let’s catch up with her,” Zack said, giving Moses a determined look.

    ??? ??????? ?? ?????????.???

Moses pressed down on the elerator.

He kept a steady hand on the wheel as they watched Corrine’s car weaving through traffic in an erratic pattern.

“Where is she heading?” Moses asked, puzzled. It wasn’t toward the Ford Group office, nor was it the way to Nate’s ce.

His instincts tingled—something felt off. Zack adjusted his sses and narrowed his eyes. “Keep following her. Let’s see if we can intercept.”

After Corrine ended her call with Karina, a strange sensation crept over her as she listened to the engine’s hum.

At first, she attributed it to unfamiliarity. It had been a while since she’d driven this particr car.

However, when she reached a crossing and pressed the brake, the pedal resisted. The car surged forward without slowing.

It seemed someone had deliberately sabotaged the vehicle—probably the brakes.

The car jolted as the speed increased, but Corrine remained calm, gripping the wheel steadily.
