"Oh, I see. Then we still can’t walk together after evening study." Yang Tao said regretfully. The student dormitory building was near the school gate, while the teachers’ assigned housing was behind the teaching building, in completely opposite directions.

"It’s okay, after class you can come to our class with my brother and hang out." Jiaojiao comforted.

Yang Tao nodded upon hearing this and smiled again.

After the five of them had their fill and got up to head back to school, it was already close to noon, about 12 o’clock. It was still summer, and it was especially hot outside.

Jiaojiao was getting dizzy from the sun. Ruan Lei and the others still had to go back to the dormitory to tidy up their beds. Since Jiaojiao and Xiu Xi didn’t live on campus, but it was still too early to return to the classroom, they planned to go to the dormitory with Ruan Lei and the others to take a look.

The boys’ and girls’ dorms were separate.

Jiaojiao was extremely sleepy, so Yang Tao suggested taking Jiaojiao to her dorm for a nap.

"Don’t worry, class president, I’ll definitely take good care of her." Seeing Xiu Xi frown, Yang Tao immediately assured.

Xiu Xi glanced at Jiaojiao. Jiaojiao was genuinely tired, her lashes were drooping, she seemed particularly listless. Knowing she indeed needed a nap, Xiu Xi could only nod.

Their group parted ways on the shaded path between the male and female dormitories.

She almost tripped several times, even though Yang Tao was holding onto her the whole way.

Having already promised to take care of her, Yang Tao could only stop in front of the dormitory building, and gently pinched her cheek: "Jiaojiao, hang in there, we have to climb the stairs now. If you fall, you’ll knock your teeth out."

As she spoke, she marveled at the smoothness of her skin. Jiaojiao’s skin always looked tender, but squeezing it felt just like dough, incredibly soft.

"Jiaojiao!" Yang Tao exclaimed in shock. Seeing the thermos bottle that had suddenly fallen behind her, her face turned pale. Instinctively she pulled Jiaojiao, but it was too late to stop the hot water bottle from hitting her heel directly.

Although the exterior of the fallen thermos was not damaged, its shattered glass liner cut a gash into Jiaojiao’s calf, and blood was now gushing out.

After a burst of sharp pain, Jiaojiao’s leg trembled, and Yang Tao hurried to hold her.

"Oh my god... what should we do, what should we do..." Yang Tao looked at the wound on Jiaojiao, her eyes red with helplessness.

Jiaojiao hadn’t expected she would really be this unlucky!

Yang Tao quickly helped her to the flower bed in front of the dormitory. They didn’t dare stay under the dormitory anymore. If another thermos fell and hit her on the head, it would be deadly.

With that thought, she angrily looked up and shouted to the floors above, "Whose thermos is this? It hit someone, come out quickly!"
