“It’s fine. I’m strong enough. Carrying you isn’t hard.” Yang Xiaona laughed. After she said this, she couldn’t help but blush slightly, though she was too dark for others to notice. She asked, “Jiaojiao, what did you mean just now by calling me ‘our Xiaona’?”

Yang Xiaona had never heard such an intimate term before. Even her parents just called her dead girl or brat, never anything so endearing as ‘our Xiaona.’

She knew it was because she wasn’t good-looking and her family was poor. A lot of people actually looked down on her for that, and the fact she was sturdy, tall, and dark. Many people secretly called her ‘Nigger,’ a really insulting term in their local dialect.
