The Last King Of Darkness
Chapter 1030 - 533: I Am Yanosadag
CHAPTER 1030: CHAPTER 533: I AM YANOSADAG
It was suddenly flipped open, and the pages flowed by with a rustling sound, divine light shining on each page, gradually converging into a mass, connecting with the aurora outside through Rod’s soul.
Rod was completely stunned, staring at the light merging together, a strange feeling rising from the bottom of his heart, a long and deep voice echoing in the depths of his mind.
But no matter how hard he tried to concentrate and listen, he couldn’t make out a word.
The aurora above became intense and frenzied, gradually linking up with the light above the mysterious shadow.
In the next moment, a long sword shining with multicolored light appeared from the mysterious shadow’s body, and the formless mysterious shadow instantly shattered, collapsing into fragments of black smoke that dispersed into countless black dust particles in the air.
A huge black line, invisible to all, plunged into Rod’s chest.
[Soul of the Incomplete Mysterious Shadow]
[King’s Soul]
[Possesses a Strong Source]
[Holds 500 Nightmare Fuel]
[It is a shadow within the black fog, the most bizarre terror in the darkness, a product of the "Outsider," the distortion and transformation of the "Unknown," a special existence indescribable within the black fog symbiont, bringing unimaginable nightmares to all living beings through countless ages.]
Rod was completely stunned.
He actually obtained the soul of the mysterious shadow.
During the battle in Starry Sky City, due to the presence of many big shots, he only managed to get a bit of the spoils.
And now, he did nothing, and the mysterious shadow was somehow killed.
He even obtained a complete soul.
Although this mysterious shadow was not yet fully formed, it was still unimaginable.
Rod helplessly watched the scene before him, his pupils even lacking focus.
Not only him, but everyone was stunned, and what was more astonishing was yet to come.
After the mysterious shadow burst apart, the gathering of black fog ceased, and the distorted Destiny God’s Envoys were no longer born, but the ones that had already appeared did not disappear.
However, in the next moment, the long sword shining with multicolored light vanished.
Olivia turned her head in shock and saw all the distorted Destiny God’s Envoys cut into two pieces.
Apart from Olivia, no one even saw the sword’s movement clearly.
This strange long sword pierced through all the monsters with unimaginable speed.
With a plop, the monsters’ corpses nearly collapsed to the ground simultaneously.
Countless black dust rose, obfuscating the view.
Yet it couldn’t hide the countless rising black lines that Rod could see.
[Soul of the Twisted]
[Very Great Soul]
[This is a twisted monster born within the remnants of the Ancient God of Destiny, not only possessing weird twisted destiny powers but also holding a part of the reanimation powers of the Ancient God of Flesh Rebirth, a rare twisted dual Divine Envoy.]
Could this be?
Rod was in disbelief.
The voice in his heart grew louder and clearer, almost audible.
In front of him, the long sword that slew all the monsters in an instant shone even brighter and slowly flew into Rod’s hand under everyone’s gaze.
In that moment, the roaring voice surged into his mind.
Rod’s vision instantly plunged into darkness, a world of pure black where a thundering voice sounded by his ear.
"It’s all over, Heragotos."
The scene gradually brightened.
Rod saw the sky, covered with Yin clouds, heavy rain pouring down.
It was a typical rainy day, so common that Rod didn’t know why he felt surprised and strange.
The view broadened.
Rod saw two shadows at the top of a tall tower and another city under the storm.
Its layout was unusually familiar, yet countless people were running below.
Upon closer inspection, they were holding torches, wearing armor, armed with weapons at their waists, with two enormous symbols on their backs — the Scale of Destiny and the Flesh Body.
"Yes, we are finished, Yanosadag."
Another booming voice sounded.
It cracked open the mist in Rod’s memory like lightning; he suddenly remembered.
Wasn’t that Heragotos’s voice? The ancient god of flesh rebirth who traveled through countless years to deliver the Giant God Core to him.
This familiar city, wasn’t it Sagus Ancient City?
Those symbols, weren’t they the divine symbols of the Ancient God of Destiny and the Ancient God of Flesh Rebirth?
This sky, this world, wasn’t it the sky and world unobscured by black fog?
Even if Yin clouds filled the sky, it was still far brighter than a world shrouded in black fog.
"Am I in a memory?"
A thought flashed through Rod’s mind as he tried to move, only able to turn his perspective but not move.
So it was in a memory after all.
The two black shadows atop the tower didn’t see him, conversing again.
"Heragotos, do you believe in Victory?"
"No, the master’s downfall proves it insoluble; it’s the universe’s aberration, the creation contradiction."
"But you know, the possibility of a low-entropy body is infinite."
A long silence ensued.
That shadow said, "Not enough, the master cannot triumph, nor can humanity. I know they’ve created many miracles, but it doesn’t affect the whole upper war situation. We will soon be doomed, and you and I will both perish."
Another shadow said softly, "There’s yet a possibility."
Another long silence.
Rod could only see the pouring rain and the human army mobilizing under the storm.
They marched in unison, repeatedly raising their long swords, seemingly calling out the names of the two gods.
In the far distance, it was all a gray mist.
After a long time, the shadow asked, "Yanosadag, what did you see?"
"I saw the master."
The scene became blurry for a moment; the shadow became very agitated, and only when it calmed down did the scene resume normality.
"Are you saying, you saw the master’s reincarnation millions of years later?"
"Yes."
"But by then, we will have perished, the world blanketed in black fog, filled with terrifying monsters — what can the master do alone?"
"No, not alone; destiny tells me that civilization’s inheritance hasn’t been severed, and we still have a glimmer of hope."
The shadow remained silent for a long time and simply asked, "What do you need me to do?"
"Aid the master’s revival. I will dismember you on the Divine Blood Altar, use the purest Star Source to preserve your body, and exile your remnants to the Spirit Realm. This way, even if they are eroded after countless years, the monsters formed won’t be too strong, unable to birth terrifying beings."
"This is what you’ll preserve in the spirit."
The shadow held a mass of something, scrutinizing it.
"A very powerful Source Material, but what’s its use?"
"I don’t know, but I know it will greatly help the master."
"And you?"
"I will dismember myself to become the material for a powerful weapon."
"I understand, may the flames of civilization never extinguish."
The shadow leaped from the tower, disappearing into the curtain of rain.
Only one shadow remained on the Divine Tower, that strange light flickering on it.
Rod’s vision darkened again, quickly becoming bright, but before him, no longer the tower top, stood a huge altar.
The very one before him.
The altar was awash in fresh blood, chunks of flesh and bits of blood scattered everywhere.
A shadow stood on the altar.
"Destiny."
It issued a booming voice, seeming to shake the world.
"I finally sensed the strings of destiny."
"I will set the predetermined melody for the master’s revival and rise, finding the sole hope for the dwindling living beings!"
"I am Yanosadag, the God ruling Destiny!"
A strong spiritual light rose on it, phantoms rapidly streaking past between the light bands outside space.
Destiny was being quietly composed.
But suddenly, the shadow shouted in panic.
"No, no no, what’s happening?"
"Destiny, destiny is twisting!"
"What is interfering with me? Ahhhh, my strings, all messed up, no no no no... stop, don’t write..."
"It’s over..."
Boom!
The body of the God of Destiny exploded into fragments, pulled by an invisible force, and coalesced into a pile of debris.
Just like what Rod saw before.
