CHAPTER 800: CHAPTER 444: WHO IS THE KING OF FECES

When Asa figured out he had to dive into a millennium dung heap to find monsters, he outright refused.

"I am the great Evil Soul, the witness to the extinguishing of fire, the spokesperson of darkness, the supreme ruler of the coming Deep Dark Age, and I will never dive into a dung heap!"

Rod was surprised, "Weren’t you desperately craving the power of the King of Dung before? Why would you be afraid of excrement?"

If Asa still had flesh on his face, it would definitely be redder than his butt right now.

"You’re not the King of Dung Swallowers! What’s the point of eating dung?"

The Book of the Future poked a corner out from the door crack of the House of God and spat.

"Who was it in the sewers, constantly talking about excrement? Who collected ancient dung and carried it like a treasure?"

Asa’s whole soul swelled up, but he pretended not to hear the words from the Book of the Future and said to Rod, "I just accidentally fell into your trap, I admit your wisdom among humans over tens of thousands of years is exceptional, but tricking me only worked because of that Book of Betrayal!"

The Book of the Future let out a sharp mocking laugh, but Asa ignored it.

Rod suppressed a laugh and said, "Asa, aren’t you the so-called Evil Soul? In the dark side of humanity, there should be nothing stronger than you."

Asa snorted, "Of course."

"Then toying with this creature known as the King of Dung should be easy as pie, no?"

Asa sneered, "Naturally, but I don’t want to enter the dung heap, nothing you say will change that. If you still use soul punishment to threaten me, then our agreement is void, and you will never receive my help again."

Rod laughed, "Isn’t dung the filthy collection of evil? Why would the Evil Soul consider entering a dung heap an insult?"

Asa just sneered, without answering.

Rod continued, "My intellect is indeed unmatched, it’s normal that you lost to me. The betrayal of the Book of the Future was merely an incidental factor, not a necessary cause."

For some reason, Asa’s expression seemed to improve somewhat, and he snorted, "Don’t be too arrogant, inheritor of the Source Heavenly God, my intellect is not inferior to yours."

Rod laughed, "Then you can show it in front of everyone, the Book of Knowledge, the puppet Aphro, and I are all watching. If you show astonishing wisdom, I think the Book of the Future will have nothing to ridicule you for in the future, and..."

He paused for a moment and said the most important sentence.

"You can also regain that feeling of power, right?"

This statement deeply struck Asa. Since his soul willingly entered the Dream Realm and was imprisoned, he lost all his power.

The days without power for Asa were second only to the torture of the soul; he dreamed of regaining that feeling of control.

But that could only happen once the Dream Realm shattered and Rod died in battle.

Though he firmly believed that was the inevitable outcome, at least decades were still needed for that moment.

The thought of having to stay in this prison for decades, living with that Book of Betrayal, made Asa’s soul almost twist.

The desire for power tormented him every moment; although he had prepared some plots, under the powerful Dream Realm, he was not sure if they would succeed.

So when Rod made this proposal, Asa was immediately tempted.

"Heh heh heh."

He let out a cold laugh.

"Young heir, do you think this can win me over? You’re too naive, too immature, hahahaha... When will you give me control of the Phantom?"

Rod smiled, "In half a clock hour."

"Fine," Asa said through gritted teeth, "I’ll show you all what true darkness and wisdom mean."

"I very much look forward to it."

With a thought, Rod left the Dream Realm.

As his consciousness returned to his body, he opened his eyes, standing at the edge of the hollow, the three Ye Feng were right beside him.

"Brother Rod, have you come up with a new tactic?" Ye Feng asked.

Rod nodded slightly, "Please wait a moment, I have a Fire Spark that can summon a Phantom capable of burrowing into the dung heap to find the King of Dung."

The three Ye Feng looked at him with incredulous eyes.

"Really?"

"The King of Dung is extremely cunning; it won’t be easily captured."

"Does your Phantom have side effects? The pollution here is strong; if the connection between the Phantom and the soul’s main body is too great, the pollution may corrode your soul from a distance."

Rod gave a faint smile, "Don’t worry, my Phantom is unique, but it’s challenging to summon, I will need some time to prepare, please guard me."

Ye Feng clasped a fist in one hand, placing it over his heart, "Rest assured, Brother Rod, no monster will harm you while my life is still burning."

Vito and Riegel also clasped their fists, saying in unison, "Sir Rod, as long as the soul is not extinguished, the human wall shall not fall."

The three spread out in a triangle, guarding Rod.

In this thick Black Fog, without using the Eye of the Soul, one could only see vague red figures and faint glimmers.

But Rod felt very secure, he closed his eyes and followed the method taught by the Book of Knowledge, plunging his consciousness into the Wind’s Phantom, carefully feeling the leap of starlight, the brilliance of the stars, experiencing every bit of this Star.

The resonance strength of the Star was rapidly rising, jumping every few seconds, and as the resonance grew, the increase rate slowed, from several seconds to several hundred seconds, but still within an acceptable range.
