The Last King Of Darkness
Chapter 902 - 482: Battle of Kings
CHAPTER 902: CHAPTER 482: BATTLE OF KINGS
Rod quickly discovered that it was not a shadow, but a mass of continuously surging black cohesion.
It seemed to be awakening from slumber, the roiling darkness growing more active.
"I see it!"
Rod didn’t have time to confirm, shouted urgently, pointing ahead to his left.
Everyone immediately turned their gaze, only to see at the end of the hall, beneath the massive King Artifact, a sharp chair back exposed through thick ash.
The chair back was engraved with patterns of stars, and though only a corner was visible, its weight was evident.
Everyone’s hearts tightened in an instant.
Clearly, buried beneath the ashes was the Throne of Stars.
On the throne must be the Starry Queen.
Moonlight flashed in Olivia’s eyes as she shouted, "She is awakening from her dormant state!"
Jelaba shouted, "Everyone, prepare for battle!"
In an instant, countless spiritual energy waves spread out, and everyone dispersed to their positions.
Boom!
A giant emitting dazzling light rose from the ground; it was Tai Luo in Light Giant form, with his Great Sword enveloped in spiritual energy, rapidly enlarging.
In the blink of an eye, a Light Giant wielding a massive Light Sword stood at the front.
Soon after, another colossal entity appeared.
The Six-Armed Snake Demon emerged from the purple smoke, six giant swords carving long arcs, intercrossed and raised before its chest.
Rod retreated to the corner, staring intently at the black mass.
In just a few seconds, it had grown several times larger, like a massive chasm leading directly to the abyss, black sludge pouring continuously.
Rod felt an astonishing aura of corruption, unlike any soul he had ever seen.
The Book of Knowledge shouted in his head, "This soul has completely succumbed to darkness. She is more than a Black Fog Symbiont; she is the Black Fog Avatar!"
The Book of the Future suddenly said, "I understand now! The fall of Starry Sky City began with the queen’s corruption! This is the center of the pollution; the outside is merely a branching extension. All the Black Fog Symbionts in Starry Sky City are derivatives of the Starry Queen; the Source Black Fog’s origin is the queen!"
Rod was shocked and couldn’t find words to refute.
This deduction felt so natural, as if it were always meant to be the truth.
In his mind, Asa gradually laughed, "I knew you would fail. The Starry Queen is the source of the pollution. She has completely fallen into darkness, becoming part of the Black Fog. That bizarre half-corpse, the lingering consciousness, is merely some coincidence."
Rod automatically blocked Asa’s words, cautiously moving along the curved wall behind him, carefully observing the black soul.
It clearly had just awakened from a dormant state; returning to an active state would take some time.
In front, Luo Weiya decided to launch a surprise attack.
In battles with monsters below King Level, this was an excellent opportunity, potentially delivering a heavy blow to the monster.
But with King Level monsters, it was uncertain and could provoke a formidable counterattack.
Luo Weiya decided to take the risk, plunging the Spiral Short Sword into his palm, covering himself with blood, then igniting the Demon Fire Chain to activate the Red Glove.
The Source Law of the "Curse Fire" received a significant boost, and spiritual energy surged further.
A super-heavy Fireball gathered in his palm.
Its rotation was slow, yet the immense density of spiritual energy made it incredibly heavy.
With a booming sound.
The ash flew up as Luo Weiya stomped on the spirit-solidified ground to throw the Fireball.
The Fireball moved slowly, but when it hit the ash, flames soared, filling most of the Sacrificial Altar. The terrifying impact shook the entire structure, dust and dirt crumbling down.
"That strike is so powerful."
Rod marveled in his heart.
"Stronger than when fighting the Main Brain, his flame has concentrated... my Great Star Shuttle would need to be two to three levels stronger to match this strike."
He quietly pulled out a few items from the Dream Realm, holding them in his hand. Anything in the Dream Realm would carry its essence; knowing the Dream Realm, one would definitely recognize them.
Rod hadn’t given up hope; what if the Starry Queen still retained consciousness? What if she was truly connected to the Dream Realm?
If only she were like those two High Priests.
That possibility wasn’t zero, so trying wasn’t a bad thing.
As the flames fell, Rod was shocked to find the Dark Soul showed no change, indicating that the strike hadn’t disturbed her, not even accelerating her awakening.
Jelaba and the others noticed this too; without hesitation, he pulled out the King’s Heart from his bosom, and red light instantly engulfed everyone.
"The King walks with us!"
Jelaba raised the heart high, forming an invisible link connecting them all. Immediately, boundless spiritual energy flowed from the heart, and the essence of Holy Fire erupted, spreading the king’s power across the land.
"The Holy Fire protects us!"
Everyone felt the searing energy rush towards them, the evil chill driven away. Souls boiled in the heat; spiritual energy became incredibly active. A powerful thermal field unfolded, perpetual warmth invading their souls, directly supplying them with spiritual energy.
Rod looked at his hands, an unprecedented feeling surged in his heart, "I’m invincible! Nothing can stop me!"
He wasn’t alone in this feeling.
The Light Giant let out an earth-shattering roar, "My power, my power, ah, nothing can defeat me now!"
