CHAPTER 18: CHAPTER 18: THE QUINTON FAMILY’S INCONSPICUOUS MEMBER

Eleanor Hollis had no idea that the two of them could cause such a commotion at the Quinton Family. She had been staying at the hospital to take care of the elderly.

When she was downstairs at the hospital to handle some paperwork, she saw another member of the Quinton Family.

She froze all over, sensing the man slowly approaching, handing a form to the nurse.

"Unc... Uncle..."

She called out awkwardly, suddenly remembering that she and Nathaniel Quinn were already divorced, so she pressed her lips together and corrected herself, "Mr. Quinn."

It was then that Hugo Quinn noticed the young woman standing next to him, about twenty-three years old, and upon thinking carefully, realized this was Nathaniel Quinn’s wife, the inconspicuous one who had married into the Quinton Family five years ago.

He had almost always been abroad these past five years, so he barely had any impression of her. Now that she spoke, he remembered that indeed there was such a person in the Quinton Family.

"Mm."

He responded indifferently, accepted the form handed to him by the nurse, and started striding upstairs.

Eleanor Hollis exhaled, relaxing as she smiled at the nurse, "Please help transfer my grandma to the best room. I’ve already paid for the hospitalization costs."

Eleanor had been serving the elderly here for several years, so almost everyone in the hospital knew her.

That’s why, in the morning, they would help her by lying to Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch, saying she had donated the money.

After transferring grandma to a new room, Eleanor felt a little more at ease, went out to buy some fruits, and headed towards the elevator.

Just as the elevator was about to close, she encountered her uncle-in-law again.

Her hand carrying the fruits was trembling; she had seen this uncle-in-law only a few times, and ever since her marriage, he had been mostly overseas, yet managed the domestic business meticulously, known to be quite an impressive figure.

Hugo Quinn wasn’t good at engaging in conversations, and in the confined space with Eleanor Hollis, his face was tense. Eventually, he couldn’t help but speak, "Are you sick?"

The question was merely an attempt to break the awkwardness between them, and he could tell Eleanor seemed a bit wary of him.

"No, it’s my grandma who’s sick."

Eleanor quickly replied, drawing some distance between herself and him.

Hugo squinted his eyes, intending to say something more, but noticed that the elevator doors had already opened.

With Eleanor Hollis’s grandma being ill, as a member of the Quinton Family, he naturally wanted to go and take a look, but he wasn’t comfortable leaving Marcus alone in the room, so he ultimately decided not to go.

Eleanor reached the door of the hospital room and found that Hugo Quinn was going to the room right next to hers. As the door opened, she saw a small child sitting on the bed.

Her eyes widened almost instantly—wasn’t this the little boy who had given her warmth that night?

It was only then she realized that he was the young prince treasured by the Quinton Family.

Eleanor gave a sarcastic smile, it seemed she could never escape those two words: Quinton Family.

In the room next door, Hugo Quinn had specifically canceled all activities today to stay here with the child.

After getting caught in the rain last time, the child had developed a fever and cold, with his mood being quite bad. Despite receiving injections at home, they were ineffective, so he brought him to the hospital.

"Marcus, are you hungry?"

He held the little boy’s hand, but the boy merely glanced at him quietly, shook his head, then stared blankly outside the door, holding a corner of the blanket.

Hugo was accustomed to his silence, called to have dinner delivered, and, thinking of Eleanor Hollis and her grandma next door, specifically instructed for more food to be sent over there.
