The Long Road to Love: The Capable CEO Dad
Chapter 30: Stirring Up Trouble
CHAPTER 30: CHAPTER 30: STIRRING UP TROUBLE
Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch are extremely narrow-minded, and they already harbored resentment towards Eleanor Hollis. When they heard Grace Lynch say this, they couldn’t sit still anymore.
After grabbing that stack of money, they got into a car and left in a hurry to cause trouble for Eleanor Hollis.
Grace Lynch watched their backs, the corners of her mouth curved. Those two troublemakers would be enough to make Eleanor overwhelmed.
Eleanor Hollis had just lain down when she heard her phone ringing. She rubbed her sore eyes, picked up the phone, and saw it was Stella Lynch calling.
She didn’t want to answer it. She placed the phone next to her pillow, pulled the quilt over her head, and planned to go back to sleep.
But the phone kept ringing incessantly; it seemed if she didn’t answer it, it would keep ringing forever.
"Hello?"
"Eleanor Hollis, you bitch! Last time you deliberately incited me and Liam to go to the Quinton Family! I’m telling you, we won’t let you off. You better come to the hospital now, or we’ll pull out the tube from mom’s nose!"
The dialysis tube is her grandma’s lifeline. Each patient’s tube is custom-made, and the setup is very complicated. If grandma’s tube is actually pulled out, her life would be in danger.
"I only gave you the number; I didn’t tell you to go to the Quinton Family. You were foolish on your own, why blame me?"
By now, Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch had already rushed to the hospital, but Bridget Sutton was no longer in her original ward. When they inquired, they learned that Bridget Sutton had been moved to the best ward.
It seems Eleanor Hollis really didn’t donate the money, the last time she actually lied to them!
The more Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch thought about it, the angrier they became. Upon leaving the elevator, they realized there were several burly men standing by the ward door, looking difficult to deal with.
"Eleanor Hollis! You have money to move mom to such a good ward and hire bodyguards! Still lied to us about donating the money! I’m telling you! If you don’t come over tonight, I’ll take mom down with me!"
They must get a few million from Eleanor Hollis, or it would be a wasted trip.
Eleanor Hollis already knew Hugo Quinn’s bodyguards were guarding there, and now she wasn’t worried at all. At the same time, she felt very touched. This man had really thought everything through and arranged it perfectly.
Her lips twitched slightly, with bodyguards there, she wasn’t worried about her grandma’s safety but still had to go over to see how those two had gotten out of prison.
She had specifically followed their movements recently, knowing they had been detained. At the time, she was relieved, but unexpectedly within a few days, they were released.
Joelle Quinn has that kind of temperament; it’s impossible she’d easily let them go, so it seems others were responsible for releasing them.
She got dressed, and just as she opened the door to her room, she saw Hugo Quinn coming out of the study.
"Heading out?"
Hugo Quinn asked with a frown. It was already so late. Why was she going out?
"Yes, there’s a situation on grandma’s side; I need to go check."
Hugo Quinn saw her gloomy face and knew it wasn’t trivial on that side, "I’ll take you there."
"Ah?"
Eleanor Hollis hadn’t expected him to offer to take her there, and she quickly nodded, "Thank you."
It was already past eleven, and she was really embarrassed to call the driver.
Hugo Quinn nodded coldly, leading her out of the villa.
Once on the car, Eleanor Hollis still felt grateful, "Mr. Quinn, I really appreciate it."
This person had his bodyguards guard her grandma’s door, which helped a lot.
"Miss Hollis, it’s you who helped me a lot. Marcus’s illness troubled me for a long time, and your appearance brought a glimmer of hope."
Eleanor Hollis looked at the back of his head. At this moment, she suddenly felt he wasn’t just the CEO of Grandeur Group, but only a regular father.
The car quickly stopped at the hospital entrance. She was about to walk in when she saw Hugo Quinn get out of the car too.
"I’ll go in with you."
This hospital is invested by him; if there’s anything, he can help.
Eleanor Hollis already didn’t want to say thanks anymore. If she could communicate well with Marcus and get him to speak, that would be her greatest gratitude to this man.
On the elevator, she thought about soon seeing Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch, and her head hurt a bit. These two were unreasonable, wanting only money.
But she wouldn’t give those two even a penny of that five hundred thousand, not mentioning they had ignored her grandma for years.
When in the countryside, they hadn’t cared for her a bit, but ridiculed her, the child abandoned by her mother.
As soon as the elevator opened, she heard Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch’s yelling.
Obviously, they were being blocked outside by a few bodyguards.
Stella Lynch and Liam Lynch suddenly turned and saw Eleanor Hollis arrive. Their faces instantly turned sinister.
"You little bitch! You deliberately sent us to trouble Nathaniel Quinn, got us caught by the police! Today I’ll kill you!!"
Now Eleanor Hollis wasn’t part of the Quinton Family, just like unwanted cabbage, at their mercy!
But just as Stella Lynch raised her hand, she felt her wrist being grabbed painfully. Only then did she notice a man in a suit standing by Eleanor Hollis.
They only saw Hugo Quinn when he was young, and with him being abroad all these years, they really didn’t recognize Hugo Quinn now.
"Who are you?! Why meddle?! Eleanor Hollis, I really didn’t see through you. Just divorced Nathaniel Quinn, now you’re involved with another! I think you were having an affair with this man, couldn’t wait to divorce Nathaniel, deserved to lose that child, better dead, otherwise with a mother like you, he’d be pointed at and mocked!"
The child who didn’t survive was Eleanor Hollis’ heartache, and now the wound was torn open and salted; she almost bent in pain.
But Stella Lynch didn’t intend to let her off.
"Since you were a child I thought you were not decent, hanging out with boys, didn’t expect you to grow up shamelessly crawling others’ beds, Eleanor Hollis, I’m telling you, if you don’t split that five hundred thousand, I’ll expose your affair to Mr. Quinn himself!!"
Eleanor Hollis ached all over and was disgusted by this woman’s remarks.
She reached out and slapped her hard.
"Smack!"
The clear sound was exceptionally loud in the corridor.
Stella Lynch hadn’t expected someone as spineless as Eleanor Hollis would hit her. When she came to her senses, she struggled to pounce on her!
"Am I wrong!? You’re just a slut! A bed-climbing slut!"
Hugo Quinn frowned by her side. Despite his well-bred nature, even he was somewhat angry now. This woman’s words were truly harsh.
He stood in front of Eleanor Hollis, preventing her from getting hurt.
"What are you waiting for?"
He spoke to the standing bodyguards, who rushed over to subdue the madwoman Stella Lynch.
