The Long Road to Love: The Capable CEO Dad
Chapter 325: Locking the Old Master Outside
CHAPTER 325: CHAPTER 325: LOCKING THE OLD MASTER OUTSIDE
"I won’t kill you."
He slowly narrowed his eyes, then pulled Samantha Sullivan up.
"Your life or death is none of my business, but I don’t want the Sullivan Family to bother Samantha anymore. Please leave."
He pulled Samantha, wanting to go upstairs, but Samantha clearly cared about this brother. However, thinking of her own background, she said nothing and obediently followed behind Evan Yancy.
Chelsea Sullivan reached out and grabbed her other hand, lowering her head.
"I know what mom and dad did was too much, Little Samantha, I’m happy that you found your own happiness. I’ll leave here and won’t tell anyone. Since mom and dad can be so cruel to you, I want them to taste the feeling of being hurt."
His words were light and breezy, and after saying them, he immediately stood up.
"You two live a good life together."
Just as he was about to leave, Samantha finally spoke.
"Brother."
Samantha had always known that this brother was really good to her, but the gap between them was already there, and they could never go back.
Chelsea’s steps paused slightly, but he still strode away.
Chelsea disappeared, and no one knew where he went. The Sullivan family’s parents mobilized many people to look for him but always came up empty-handed.
Mom Sullivan was so heartbroken that she couldn’t eat for days. She wanted to call Samantha, but suddenly remembered that she had smashed Samantha’s phone the last time, and they didn’t know Evan Yancy’s phone number. Even if they called, that person wouldn’t answer.
Where Evan Yancy lived was heavily guarded. Even if they waited at the door, that person wouldn’t come out to meet them. They had offended him too badly before.
Mom Sullivan cried almost every day, but by now, things had already settled. If she had shown even a tiny bit of mercy to Samantha back then, it wouldn’t have come to this.
Upon hearing about the current state of the two Sullivan family members, Eleanor Hollis couldn’t help but feel vindicated, wishing for an even worse fate for those two.
The shadow they left on Samantha was a lifelong matter, and no one would easily forgive them.
She was sitting on the sofa when she heard the doorbell ring, thinking it was Hugo Quinn returning, she immediately ran to open the door.
But standing outside was not Hugo Quinn, but Old Master Quinn and Simon Quinn.
Eleanor Hollis’s face changed immediately, and the scenes from that day suddenly resurfaced in her mind. She gripped the door tightly, then closed it, shutting out their faces.
Old Master Quinn obviously did not expect Eleanor Hollis to be so bold now, actually locking him outside.
However, he couldn’t bring himself to pound on the door, so he just let Simon ring the doorbell again.
Eleanor Hollis stood inside, seeing a housekeeper about to open the door, she sneered slightly.
"Don’t bother, the door’s not opening today."
The housekeepers looked at each other, thinking that the people outside must be someone Miss Hollis hated, so they didn’t intervene and continued with their work.
This was the first time Old Master Quinn had been locked outside. He clutched his cane tighter and tighter, his face darkening as if it could drip water.
Simon was also at a loss, thinking if he were in the same situation, he probably wouldn’t open the door either. After all, with Hugo not around, who knows what Old Master Quinn would do.
"Unbelievable!"
Old Master Quinn muttered, instructing Simon to call Hugo.
Simon felt a bit awkward; little Hugo had made it clear he wanted to cut ties with the Quinton Family, yet here Old Master had come again after such a short time.
"I don’t believe he would really cut ties with us for a woman. Simon, tell him that Eleanor Hollis locked us out and see how he reacts."
Hugo did answer the call, and upon hearing that Eleanor Hollis had locked the people outside, he silently gave her a thumbs up in his mind. Not bad, she has a good sense of security, at least she wouldn’t be hurt by Old Master again.
"I’m abroad, in a meeting. I’ll hang up now."
He said flatly, then immediately hung up, leaving Simon without a word to say.
He hadn’t heard of Hugo going abroad for any meeting recently, and he had even seen him from a distance that morning.
"So, what did he say?"
Old Master didn’t have the speakerphone on, so he couldn’t hear Hugo’s response.
"He said he’s abroad at a meeting and can’t handle this right now."
As soon as Simon said that, Old Master Quinn nearly fainted in anger.
"Calamity! Eleanor Hollis is a calamity! Look at what our family has become because of her! Now little Hugo is so disobedient, sigh..."
Since they couldn’t get in through the door, they had no choice but to turn back.
The relationship between Old Master Quinn and Eleanor Hollis was completely irreconcilable because ever since that moment, Eleanor Hollis had decided she wouldn’t give him any face anymore.
She and Old Master were enemies; since the last event happened, she had already moved him into the enemy circle.
She sat on the sofa for a while, and not hearing any more sounds from outside, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Every time she faced Old Master, it was either personal attacks or sarcastic remarks. No matter how good her temper was, she couldn’t stand it anymore.
Eleanor Hollis looked down, unsure if Hugo would be angry if he heard about this, after all, those two are his family.
At nine in the evening, Hugo Quinn returned.
However, he didn’t see the person he wanted to see downstairs. He asked a housekeeper and found out Eleanor Hollis was watering the garden with Marcus.
His heart warmed, and he immediately opened the living room’s sliding door, and sure enough, saw them outside.
Eleanor Hollis and Marcus both held watering cans, whispering to each other, seemingly chatting.
Hugo suddenly didn’t want to disturb this scene, standing there watching for a while until Eleanor Hollis looked up and saw him.
"You’re back!"
She quickly put down the watering can, came to his side, and naturally wrapped her hands around his neck.
Hugo very much enjoyed her intimacy, feeling warmth in his heart.
"Why are you watering with Marcus? Be careful not to catch a cold; it’s already quite cold."
Eleanor smiled and pulled him to sit aside.
"Marcus said apricot flowers look nice, and the red apricot flowers bloom in winter; there’s one in the garden, so we came to water it."
"Dad."
Marcus came over with a watering can, a big smile on his face.
"Did you know? I’m about to have my final exam, and the teacher said I might come first."
Previously, neither of them had cared about Marcus’s grades, only knowing his intelligence was very high and he often solved problems beyond his current level of knowledge.
"If you come first, whatever reward you want, I’ll give you."
Hugo rubbed his head, noticing his clothes were a bit wet and quickly grabbed a cloth from the side to wipe him.
His actions were gentle, completely in the role of a good father.
Eleanor Hollis watched, suddenly feeling this kind of life seemed good too, having a lover, having a child.
Though this child wasn’t biological, at this point, it made no difference to her.
