CHAPTER 329: CHAPTER 329: HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND

Many thoughts emerged in Eleanor Hollis’s mind, but she chose not to question him; she believed in Hugo Quinn.

An hour later, the girl had already woken up.

She opened her eyes tremblingly, then propped herself up and sat up.

"It’s you... "

Sitting in the car, Eleanor Hollis kept staring blankly at the sky outside.

"Eleanor."

Hugo Quinn suddenly hugged her from behind, nuzzling his chin affectionately against her head.

"Everything Meredith Sterling went through is because of me."

He sighed, then recounted what had happened between them.

It turned out that before Grace Lynch, Hugo Quinn had a girlfriend, but that was a long time ago. Around his freshman year, Meredith Sterling had been by his side.

But he didn’t like Meredith Sterling. She had blocked a knife for him and was hospitalized for more than half a month. If it weren’t for that stab, he might have died; he was severely injured and had already lost too much blood at that time.

Upon waking up, he wanted to repay Meredith Sterling, but she asked for nothing, just wanted to stay by his side as his girlfriend.

Returning to Serenford, Hugo Quinn arranged for a doctor to examine Meredith Sterling, still diagnosing bodily depletion.

Meredith Sterling had woken up, sitting silently on the sofa, with deep wounds on her wrists and many needle marks.

Those scars and needle marks made Eleanor Hollis’s scalp tingle; it seemed this girl was indeed very unfortunate.

She sat down beside her and thought the other might be thirsty, so she spoke up.

"Would you like some water? I’ll get it for you."

Meredith Sterling looked up at her and suddenly started crying, a heart-wrenching cry.
