CHAPTER 63: CHAPTER 63: LET HER MOVE OUT

Hugo Quinn and Eleanor Hollis had no idea that their photos from the amusement park had already reached Old Master Quinn’s hands.

After the two returned home, they sat on the couch to rest while the housekeeper began preparing dinner.

As Hugo was opening his laptop, Old Master Quinn called him to come to the old house in person.

Given the gravity in Old Master Quinn’s tone, Hugo pondered for a moment before heading out to the old house.

Old Master Quinn was waiting for him in the study; his mind was in turmoil when he saw the photo that evening.

He knew this youngest son well. Hugo had never truly cared for anyone, and over the years, apart from Marcus, there was no one else to whom he was gentle.

But the content that the photo suggested was overwhelmingly complex, and he dared not think further, clutching his cane tightly as he awaited Hugo’s arrival.

"Dad."

Hugo pushed open the study door and, upon seeing Old Master Quinn’s demeanor, knew there was something important that needed discussing. He quickly adjusted his posture.

"Hugo, I allowed you to keep Eleanor in the villa because I thought she could help Marcus move forward; she’s a hope for healing him. But I don’t hope for anything further to develop between you two. You’ve just divorced Grace Lynch, and she just divorced Nathaniel. Given your relationship with Nathaniel, should anything transpire between you, the Quinton Family will lose all face."

Hugo’s body stiffened momentarily, then slowly relaxed. He didn’t see it as wrong; they’re both single, aren’t they?

"Dad, I know my limits."

He spoke lightly, yet his tone further deepened Old Master Quinn’s concerns.

"Hugo, our Quinton Family has wronged Eleanor in the past. Don’t force me to do more harm to her. If you have other intentions, you’d better extinguish them early. I absolutely do not allow anything to develop between you two."

Hugo furrowed his brow, "Dad, this matter has nothing to do with Eleanor Hollis."

As the person said, the Quinton Family had already wronged Eleanor enough; they couldn’t do more to harm her.

"Hugo, I do pity Eleanor, but in my heart, the Quinton Family comes first."

This remark from Old Master Quinn firmly established his stance.

Hugo pressed his lips together. In truth, he wasn’t sure what he felt about Eleanor Hollis—he was simply happy whenever he was with her.

Her presence, everything about her, lingered in his memory.

How odd! This woman was married for five years; why did he care so much?

"Dad, I said this isn’t about Eleanor Hollis. Even if something really develops between us, I would have forced her."

He’s a man and won’t let Eleanor Hollis face unwarranted grievances due to his feelings.

If the person intends to do anything against Eleanor Hollis, he will definitely not stand idly by.

Old Master Quinn’s face flushed with anger, and he slammed his cane hard.

"Let her move out this week! Hugo, I don’t want to hear any gossip from outside. Do you know the photo of you and her at the amusement park is now lying in my phone? You’re my son; I know what that look from you means. Denying it is pointless."

Hugo didn’t plan to deny it; at this point, he was already standing.

"Dad, since you know me, you should understand my temper. If I truly have my eyes on a woman, I’ll go to great lengths to keep her by my side."

Old Master Quinn’s face turned pale, a wave of helplessness surged through him.

The excellence of this youngest son had always made him proud, but his excellence also brought disadvantages.

If Hugo had started working at the Quinton Family’s company from the beginning, inheriting family assets, then at this point, he would have a hundred ways to coerce him into compliance.

But this young man ventured into the business world at an early age, even creating a group comparable to The Quinn Group through his efforts.

Despite his desire to control him, he was powerless.

"But I will agree to let her move out."

Before leaving, Hugo left this remark.

Old Master Quinn sat on the couch, despondent, and let out a heavy sigh, realizing the Quinton Family would continue to wrong Eleanor.

Hugo left the old house, feeling immensely troubled.

Once in the car, he opened the window and stared at the scenery outside in a daze.

Just then, Eleanor Hollis called, saying Marcus suddenly wanted to eat yogurt and asked him to buy some on his way home.

Hugo stopped at the supermarket, staring at the yogurt in his hand, Eleanor’s words felt like a wife’s reminder.

Perhaps before leaving the old house, he was still confused about his attitude towards Eleanor.

But now, he understood very clearly; he wants Eleanor Hollis to be his wife, to stay by his side forever.

As this thought became increasingly clear, Hugo grew calm. Next, he naturally considered how to pull her to his side.

He returned home with the yogurt, and Eleanor opened the door for him with a smiling gaze.

In that instant, all light seemed to converge on her. She stood in the backlight, enveloped in a hazy yet warm aesthetic.

"This is the right flavor. I forgot to mention it when I called, but you got it right."

Eleanor took the yogurt from his hand and went to the kitchen to pour it out, adding some kiwi fruit as well.

Marcus sat on the couch, eyes full of anticipation.

This scene was so warm that Hugo hesitated to interrupt, yet he had just promised Old Master Quinn that he would have Eleanor move out.

He slowly sat on the couch, watching Marcus joyfully scoop up the yogurt Eleanor handed him with a spoon.

"Miss Hollis."

After thinking for a moment, he slowly spoke.

Eleanor paused and then sat down, "Is something the matter?"

"I’ve found you an apartment outside; you may need to move out tomorrow. I’ve given it some thought; it is indeed inconvenient for you to live here."

Eleanor stiffened slightly but thought it through, realizing he was right.

Although there were quite a few servants at the villa, Lan Yancy also lived there, and doctors frequently visited, but seeing her and Hugo together might indeed lead to misunderstandings.

"I understand."

She accepted the result calmly, but Hugo was suddenly uncomfortable. Wouldn’t she strive a little? Did she really want to leave him? Despite feeling still a bit unwilling in his heart...

"I don’t..."

Marcus reacted strongly to his words, stopped eating his yogurt salad, and his face flushed with anger.

He didn’t want to be separated from mommy; she was really nice.

"Marcus, you can visit her often. The apartment is very close."

Hugo reached out to rub his head, but Marcus evaded him.

"No, no... Don’t let her go..."
